alot of people prefer the single sided cable config that most headphones have, unfortunately all the koss 60 ohm 35mm driver headphones have dual cables so they don't (or can't ) run the wire through the headband.
I’ve recently replaced the cable of my two Porta Pros, but their sound became much worse after the replacement. What can be causing the issue? They seem completely different headphones.

they have life time warranty you can just get a new pair everytime. i have done this the past 5 years.

Does it improve the sound quality? Cool mod but it kinda defeated the portable in "porta".
No, it doesn't improve sound quality, but the cable has a microphone and a stop-play button and pleasantly soft cable.

Maybe you broke the drivers while soldering? They don't like heat...
You probably crossed the wires, causing it to be mono
