    Morph-X, where can I get the simple tool of yours which you had made for the embossed letters on the Game Boy Advance's shell where the start and select words appear?

    • @morph-x7153
      @morph-x7153  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! You can craft one yourself. All i did was cut two bits of plastic to the size of the embossed "START" and "SELECT" labels, glued them together and sanded down the edge to a smooth even surface. It's super easy. Thanks for watching!

    Great job and nice video, man.
    Im running some tests in my Raspberry Pi Zero 1.3. After flashing RetroPie to its SD card, I recommend overclocking it a little, because you can face serious fps drops in some games with the stock settings. Im using this setup: www.reddit.com/r/RetroPie/comments/bs0a0i/snes_performance_benchmarks_on_pi_zero_and_how_to/
    And my RPi is running atari2600, nes, snes (not SuperFX games), mega drive, gbc and gba smoothly.

    • @morph-x7153
      @morph-x7153  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man! Well, it's actually the Super FX games and still a fair share of SNES games (Donkey Kong Country for instance) that don't run properly. GBA games, after installing the right BIOS files run amazingly well, to my surprise. Overclocking might be the little boost it could use, but i'm not quite sure how it will affect battery life. In any case, thanks for the tip!

    • @morph-x7153
      @morph-x7153  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Corey Hectus Yes i did. At my first test assembly i noticed the height difference and thought it was terrible. So i gently trimmed 'm a bit. However, the button caps are now lowered so the LCD is a bit off-center, due to it touching the button caps. But ergonomics are important imo. Thanks for watching!

    • @CoreyHectus
      @CoreyHectus 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay cool. I wanted to do the same thing on my build because it's a little silly looking and uncomfortable to press those buttons when they sit so much higher up. Did you use a dremel for those as well? Also, I don't mind the LCD pushing down because I'd rather have the ergonomics :)

    • @morph-x7153
      @morph-x7153  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I trimmed the buttons using a sharp blade. But you'll have to rest the PCB in an angle to do so, but with a sharp blade you can shorten them in a precise matter as opposed to doing it with a dremel. Good luck!

    • @morph-x7153
      @morph-x7153  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, i'm sorry for the late response. I made a scan of an original screen lens so i could use that as an overlay in Photoshop for my design.
