    Buenos días. Compré una Lynx para reparar. Todo funcionaba hasta que me equivoqué a la hora de soldar los cables de alimentación y puse positivo en negativo y el negativo en positivo. La consola dejó de funcionar. Creo que el fallo Puede estar en los diodos que están justo al lado de donde van soldado los cables de alimentación. Usted me podría decir cuál es el valor de cada 1 de estos tres diodos?

    I had the first model Lynx in the day, but I was opting for MkII this time, particularly because of the grey colour coating wearing off the first model, revealing white beneath. Now this video contained information that could cause me to revisit that choice.

    Great job, I have a non-working PAG 0200, you made me want to dust it off and give it a new life, but I have to fix the electronics first, luckily I don't have to mess with the paint 😅 Like everyone, I think, the back labels wore out soon, when I was still a kid I took them off (whatta dumbass) so now I have nothing to scan to try to reproduce them, I read that you have lost the source files of your replicas , if it is possible could you send me a picture of them? I would like to try to vectorize them and release them in the wild 😜

    Very informative, just what I was looking for. Much appreciated :) I just picked up a grey one from Amazon sold by 'Saffun', which itself appears to just be a re-listing of Innext's controller. From what I've seen in this video, it's identical to the Retrolink controller shown. The c-buttons and A/B buttons are a bit raised and rattly, but they're even. The joystick is real analogue, and has that white base along the bottom, unlike the OEMs. The stick is beginning to grind against the plastic bowl though (for lack of better words?), accumulating some powedered plastic along the base. Hopefully that's merely cosmetic and won't structirally weaken the analogue stick. The real kicker, however, is the D-pad. It feels quite alright, but it's a little loose and slides around some. Most frustrating is that it registers the wrong movements when shifting weight slightly toward the edge. For example, if I'm holding down and move slightly to the right, it moves right. The same applies to all directions. It's as if it's just one button under there. Been alright for RE2 N64, tho. Have you noticed any such issue with your pads? How does the joystick fare over time, chiefly the wired Retrobit and Retrolink controllers?

    • @morph-x7153
      @morph-x7153 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fantastic, thanks so much for watching and commenting! I wasn't able to find an Innext. I ordered one, but got a Retrolink controller instead. But as you already concluded, they're probably identical anyway. That analogue stick though is really something else, i love it so much! Yes, the stick grinds a little against the inner socket, but i can tell you that thus far, i have done a full 100% playthrough of Mario 64, a full playthrough of both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, a full playthrough of Mario Kart 64 and i'm halfway a Donkey Kong 64 playthrough, all with the same Retrolink controller and it hasn't failed once. It's crazy to think you can get this quality for under $10. As for the D-pad issue. I can't say I noticed it myself. But you should be able to solve it quite easily. Underneath the D-pad there are connections pads on the PCB (the printed circuit board). If the D-pad is too sensitive, as you say, just by putting a little bit of pressure it already detects an input, you can put a small piece of isolation tape of sorts on the surface of the connection pads to decrease the sensitivity. Just google "d-pad tape fix" and you'll see what i mean. I'm sure you'll be able to fix it! Again thanks a lot and good luck!

      @@morph-x7153 Thanks for the swift response! I've noticed there's 2 packs sold under the 'Innext' brand name, but all links I've found of the singles redirect to this. Some reviews older than a year even mention Innext. As you said though, they're all probably identical. Just an interesting observation is all. There's this other strange brand called Kiwitata, which again is identical based on videos I've seen. Quite the handful, heh. In any event just glad theres many options. I'm really happy to hear that. I'm not bothered by the joystick rubbing, I was just a little worried it would chisel itself down or snap off. it feels incredible though, deadzone is practically non-existent here. It took a bit of getting used to if anything. I've been playing in Project64, which natively detects it as a generic d-input pad. I used Xoutput in connjunction with Steaminput to get it working with the notorious (to Nintendo, that is) SM64 PC port as well. I just had to use joytokey to map the c-buttons. This thing is truly a blast! i ordered one for my gf as well, a clear blue one. I was just rather worried the stick would do a death dive on us. As for the d-pad, I'll certainly give that a try. This isn't unusable to me, but it would certainly be preferable to fix that. One other point i failed to mention is the USB cable though. It does feel rather soft, and I noticed some wear markings. Thanks again

      @@myislander You already did a lot of work! The red is very nice. Too bad it didn't work out too well. I can give you some pointers, but i'm not sure if you already did this. - But very important is the paint preparation. As you can see in my video, i very thoroughly sanded the Lynx shell with 600, 800 en 1200 grid sandpaper to get a very smooth surface. - Making the surface dust and grease free is super important. - When painting (with a spraycan i presume) it can help to first heat up the spraycan in warm water, that way the paint flows very well. Then first apply a couple of thin coats with 5-10 minutes between each layer. Then apply a wet coat, which is a thick coat, done by slowly and steadily spraying the paint. This is a touchy feely thing because you can get runs quite easily. However, when the preparation (sanding and degreasing) isn't done properly, you'll never get a nice paint job. Again, maybe you did this and there was some kind of chemical reaction between the both paints or anything like that. But i do like the gray/red combo, looking very 80's retro! :) Thanks for sharing and good luck!

      @@morph-x7153 thanks! I may try the red again with your suggestions. I really like how it came out on the battery cover. Maybe I just didn’t get the rest sanded as well and with your spray paint techniques, it might work better. Or I’ll just leave it with the red buttons :-).

    Great job and nice video, man. Im running some tests in my Raspberry Pi Zero 1.3. After flashing RetroPie to its SD card, I recommend overclocking it a little, because you can face serious fps drops in some games with the stock settings. Im using this setup: www.reddit.com/r/RetroPie/comments/bs0a0i/snes_performance_benchmarks_on_pi_zero_and_how_to/ And my RPi is running atari2600, nes, snes (not SuperFX games), mega drive, gbc and gba smoothly.

    • @morph-x7153
      @morph-x7153 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man! Well, it's actually the Super FX games and still a fair share of SNES games (Donkey Kong Country for instance) that don't run properly. GBA games, after installing the right BIOS files run amazingly well, to my surprise. Overclocking might be the little boost it could use, but i'm not quite sure how it will affect battery life. In any case, thanks for the tip!

    Looks really awesome! But what if you first print the labels for the buttons in white, and overprint with the orange one. In this case you have a base for the Color, and the dark grey doesn’t effect the orange. I think they make it also by uv printing for better results!

    • @morph-x7153
      @morph-x7153 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Thanks a lot for watching and commenting! The idea is great, but i would need a printer that is capable of printing white ink. They exist, but they're a bit too expensive for my taste. Also, i've noticed over the course of several projects that printing the same image twice on the same paper, you always have alignment discrepancies. These labels are very small, so even a alignment discrepancy of 0.1 or 0.2 mm would stand out. Maybe it's possible on a real professional machine, but i don't think it's possible with any machine that i have at my disposal.
