Even worse considering you are putting a battery just on top the compute module, so not only the cm is getting hot, but the battery aswell, not a good combination. To be fair, there's not a lot of room on a gameboy pocket and the DDR2 socket is a little bit high too...

I have recently really gotten into retro gaming and consoles. I bought a Sega Genesis Mini. Ordered two of the licensed 6 button controllers. I'm not very keen on doing in depth mods with a PC, so I'ma send it to a pro modder when I get paid again to have the system overclocked and get most Genesis games on a USB. My father in law noticed my enthusiasm and gave me an original SNES console with two controllers and 23 games! I need to get component cables for it though. After I finish my Genesis and SNES projects I wanna do something with a Gameboy or Game Gear. Glad there are channels like this that fuel my new hobby and teach me things I would've never known otherwise. Thank you.

Love seeing these videos!!! I get that it's very easy to get into a funk and lose motivation to do what we love so much. I'm printing up some shields and straps like many others so that is a great start to helping fix a bigger problem. If doing nothing else helps you right now, do nothing at all!!! I've been seeing a lot of my subscribed youtuber's pushing out more content than usual and it's personally annoying. You do what you feel is right for you and your family so don't worry about what we feel.
I liked this a lot! Any chance someone has a link to a Game Boy shell that we can print to make these projects? Any other good projects to print up you'd recommend?

Keep in mind, the DIY kit from Kite costs about $190, and that doesn’t include the shell, buttons, silicone pads, screen lens, joystick, or the battery (not to mention the tools needed to build it). So realizing the parts alone would cost around $240+, even if someone only charged you a cheap build fee, you’d easily be spending $300+
