The guy playing Jack deserves all the praise for that scene...his acting is what made this a very memorable death scene.
No hollywood bravado to look cool, just visceral realism...you feel the pain in his eyes and voice, you feel his despair of not wanting to die as he's trying to get away despite it being futile, and lastly how he's barely lucid and clearly beyond help when his brothers get to him.

Four Brothers is really underrated, four brothers, two black, two white trying to find their mother's killer in the cold snow in Detroit. Now that's something to watch.
Especially if one of them is Mark Wahlberg.

Bobby said he didn't come for a funeral he wanted answer's before he could let go.
Don’t know if you noticed but all the brothers except Bobby accepted their moms death. That’s why they saw her at the dinner table at the beginning of the movie. Bobby didn’t see her until the end because they avenged her. I love that aspect of the movie.
This was filmed on my street! Watched the whole production, it was great!
My dad grew up in Cleveland a few houses down from the house used in A Christmas Story. He'd moved out 15 years before it was filmed, but swore the neighborhood looked familiar. Once he paid attention and realized the downtown scenes were in Cleveland, he realized it WAS his childhood street lol. The kids literally walk past his house😂

You clearly know nothing about the history of this movie or how it was made. Jack Black almost quit after the way this movie was received. People hated it so much for about 15 years until the next generations started watching it. It’s a film that has a cult following now because most of the people that have seen it, now love it. One dope thing about the movie is their dialogue is natural as hell. I know they had mad fun making this.
I love how they have "Trouble Man" by Marvin Gaye, playing as they introduce Bobby. Such a great movie!

Great movie with a bunch of great moments. I especially ove the bits where the boy, except Bobby, see mom during dinner. And then Bobby sees her at the end. I heard once in a behind the scenes that the mom is dressed differently cause it was suppose to show how the boys see her. And that Bobby doesn't see her until the end because that's when he finally admits and says that she is gone
This movie will always be my favorite because I'm an family oriented person and I also protect my loved ones any way I can so I can relate to this film in so many ways
@2:18 the old Detroit train station. It had been empty and abandoned for years before they filmed this movie. It’s been completely gutted and renovated since the movie came out. It looks beautiful!
This video hits hard today. I had a classmate that was shot and killed last night along with his girlfriend. They didn’t do anything wrong. My classmate was amazing and super sweet. It doesn’t make any sense at all . All the good ones go too soon😞

I kind of wish I could see a prequel of the brothers when they were younger, getting into trouble on the block! But I also think this film is the perfect package that ties everything up nicely, even if it does leave me wanting more.
I especially adore the soundtrack! I wasn't a fan of Motown music before watching this, but now I regularly listen to the _Four Brothers_ album on repeat!
What a nice surprise! I love this movie. It's one of the funniest action movies for sure ("he ain't dead, he's just fucked up"), but it still hits you in the feels with the flashbacks of their mom, and Jack lying out there in the snow screaming for Bobby.
Some of our closest brothers and sisters r'nt blood. Much deeper than blood, its a soul connection, ride or die. Thanx so much darlin' take care, Peace

When you understand ya bros, even when you sometimes fight, that in the end you would give your life for them n vice versa this one really hits home. A comrade that will die in a trench with you is closer than your own blood relatives is a bond for life.
