Four Brothers is really underrated, four brothers, two black, two white trying to find their mother's killer in the cold snow in Detroit. Now that's something to watch.
The guy playing Jack deserves all the praise for that scene...his acting is what made this a very memorable death scene. No hollywood bravado to look cool, just visceral realism...you feel the pain in his eyes and voice, you feel his despair of not wanting to die as he's trying to get away despite it being futile, and lastly how he's barely lucid and clearly beyond help when his brothers get to him. Phenomenal performance
one thing a lot of people don't notice, but Bobby was the only person to not see Evelyn talk to them at Thanksgiving dinner, only until his job was done he was finally able to see
Don’t know if you noticed but all the brothers except Bobby accepted their moms death. That’s why they saw her at the dinner table at the beginning of the movie. Bobby didn’t see her until the end because they avenged her. I love that aspect of the movie.
my dumbass said five brothers one time in front of my sister and her husband lmao they havent let it go since like 13 years ago😂😂jack jacks death still gets me to this day and especially the scene when they eat dinner and all think about what she’d be saying
I just discovered that this movie is loosely based on the 1965 classic western "The Sons of Katie Elder," staring John Wayne and Dean Martin. Crazy I never knew that, but I do see some similarities.
Antoine Fuqua, same director as Training Day, Tears of the Sun, King Arthur, Olympus Has Fallen, The Equalizer, etc. Highly recommend you to check out other movies on his filmography.
I gotta say Mr. Video, literally 10 seconds in the video, I realize why I like to watch you as a personality because when you shouted out a brother you have that you never met and extended a hand. Genuinely funny and welcoming.
I remember the first time I watched this like "it could be ok" how wrong I was. This is a great movie. That scene 😢 you know EXACTLY what scene. Great acting ❤
This movie is literally my family ❤ Mom is gone now and took in two kids from broken homes even tho we were struggling ourselves. Best woman ever and we all have a beautiful bond because of her 🥲
True! An underrated gem! I am german and after my birth, my mother could not have more kids. So my mother and father adopted two kids. I am the eldest. After that comes my brother who originally came from Ghana. And our youngest who came from Burma. You already know this movie is one of our favorites and we love racist ass jokes 🤣
This popped up on my for you page and all i have to say is YESSSSS! This movie didnt get the love it deserved, i watched it 9 times in a row as a kid...
A lot of this movie was filmed in Toronto, and I remember my Grandmas street being blocked off for filming. Thanks for reviewing, man. this movie brings back memories
@2:18 the old Detroit train station. It had been empty and abandoned for years before they filmed this movie. It’s been completely gutted and renovated since the movie came out. It looks beautiful!
You need to do Enemy of the State. And 2012. Both of those are movies I can’t believe more people aren’t doing reactions on. They are definitely good for reactors.
Bro this a childhood classic and still holds up today in my opinion the script is a little weak but the performances and the story are top tier and the connection between the brothers feels real the whole time glad u watched this film 💯🔥
I absolutely love this movie! Such a good cast and story. Mark made me feel differently with this role, the way he walked up to fight Victor!!! 🙀🙀🙀🤤 Good review Guy ❤
Great movie with a bunch of great moments. I especially ove the bits where the boy, except Bobby, see mom during dinner. And then Bobby sees her at the end. I heard once in a behind the scenes that the mom is dressed differently cause it was suppose to show how the boys see her. And that Bobby doesn't see her until the end because that's when he finally admits and says that she is gone
This video hits hard today. I had a classmate that was shot and killed last night along with his girlfriend. They didn’t do anything wrong. My classmate was amazing and super sweet. It doesn’t make any sense at all . All the good ones go too soon😞
It's a great movie. If you're in the mood for movies like this, Paul Walkers greatest movie is slept on. Running Scared is by far his best performance.
I just discovered that this movie is loosely based on the 1965 classic western "The Sons of Katie Elder," staring John Wayne and Dean Martin. Crazy I never knew that, but I do see some similarities. 😳
Love this movie. Owned it since released, watch once a year since. Love ya Leo! Fionnula Flanagan, Mom, is a great Irish actress. Blazing redhead in her youth.
Oh my gawd, I'm _SO_ stoked you're doing this movie! I've been obsessed with it for years, but have never met anyone else who has seen it! I haven't even watched your reaction yet (still at work sadly) but I got so excited when the alert came up just now! Can't wait to see how you felt about it!
The original source material is a western called The Sons of Katie Elder, and it translates beautifully into a modern story. You can definately see the western tropes working here.
I met my long lost brother (12 yrs older than me) in 2009, he kinda sucks if I'm honest. But dude, seeing you try to find yours was one of the most wholesome and heartbreaking things I ever seen. I hope you find him, bro.
This movie will always be my favorite because I'm an family oriented person and I also protect my loved ones any way I can so I can relate to this film in so many ways
Damien hitting the button doesn't make the elevator go faster. I know. LOL ahh that's funny. So many of us have done it as if it does work lol. Funniest part of the whole video is when you said Bobby just pulls the gun out like "I just wanna talk" LOL
Yes !!... absolutely great movie...a 10 !... A beautiful sandwich...sadness and tenderness on the ends with straight 🔥🔥🔥 in the middle... Thank you Leo... 🌿🌿🌿
Some of our closest brothers and sisters r'nt blood. Much deeper than blood, its a soul connection, ride or die. Thanx so much darlin' take care, Peace
This movie should be a slogan to tell everyone that no matter what race, religion, political view, whatever, anybody can be family!! and the right person to raise any child can always have some great benefit. None of the main 4 are in anyway "Good Guys" but Evelyn raised them to be "better people" and to me that is the highlight of the movie!
What a nice surprise! I love this movie. It's one of the funniest action movies for sure ("he ain't dead, he's just fucked up"), but it still hits you in the feels with the flashbacks of their mom, and Jack lying out there in the snow screaming for Bobby.
When you understand ya bros, even when you sometimes fight, that in the end you would give your life for them n vice versa this one really hits home. A comrade that will die in a trench with you is closer than your own blood relatives is a bond for life.
Hi Mr V,nearly missed this. Had visitors got rid of em😂😂😂. Hope your days been good. I been looking forward to this. Hugs to Bella and love to you and your family ❤
This is actually a re-make of a much older film. The original was a Western starring John Wayne called "The Sons of Katie Elder". This was better, in my opinion. By far the BEST Snowy Car chase scene!
I love these movie reviews. It's like watching good old movies with a new friend that ain't seen them and some good laughs! Do Goodfellas next please if you haven't seen it or don't remember it! 🙏
It always makes me i emotional when bobby finally can envision evelyn at the end. He was the only one who who didn’t at the dinner table and he had to resolve what happened before he could finally hear her talk to him
Even though this is a remake of The Sons of Katie Elder, it really stuck with me and remains a favorite. Perhaps it's the reunion aspect of it but even though I have the DVD, I'll stop when I see it on television and watch it through.
I still have memories as a kid shitting my pants scared at watching Jack get shot and him spitting up blood. Absolutely terrified me, now im an adult, this the best revenge drama.
This movie was ahead of its time, definitely underrated. Seeing these 2000s and sub 2000s movies makes me miss the distinct vibes films often used to have. Nowadays it feels like a one shoe fits all approach to movie making
Four brothers is one of my favourite movies because I got four brothers two are black and the other are half bloods and this is how we act towards each other 😂😂😜😎🔥💯
I loved, _loved_ , *_loved_* this review! Thank you for shedding light on this little-known movie I love so much! I love the banter between the brothers, I love the early glimpses of now-household names in the cast, the story, how the plot unfolds! ❤ I kind of wish I could see a prequel of the brothers when they were younger, getting into trouble on the block! But I also think this film is the perfect package that ties everything up nicely, even if it does leave me wanting more. I especially adore the soundtrack! I wasn't a fan of Motown music before watching this, but now I regularly listen to the _Four Brothers_ album on repeat!
Four Brothers is really underrated, four brothers, two black, two white trying to find their mother's killer in the cold snow in Detroit. Now that's something to watch.
Especially if one of them is Mark Wahlberg.
@HL-tf2ot true dat, I'm so glad they never made a sequel or a reboot. they both would've sucked
@@rickymoranjr9609Shhhhhh!!!! Don’t even speak on it cause you know Hollywood has no original ideas.
What if Marky mark gets marked and the neighborhood has to find the killers? Lol
Underrated? There isn't a single person I've heard that's watched this that didn't like it.
Every man any age either cried or got teary eyed when Jack died
Watched this and every reaction 1000 times and I still tear up.
Hell yea. They took Jackie, damn fairy. But they got em all.
It’s true especially if you have a sibling that shit hits worst nightmare type shit😢😭
Word
The guy playing Jack deserves all the praise for that scene...his acting is what made this a very memorable death scene.
No hollywood bravado to look cool, just visceral realism...you feel the pain in his eyes and voice, you feel his despair of not wanting to die as he's trying to get away despite it being futile, and lastly how he's barely lucid and clearly beyond help when his brothers get to him.
Phenomenal performance
one thing a lot of people don't notice, but Bobby was the only person to not see Evelyn talk to them at Thanksgiving dinner, only until his job was done he was finally able to see
Nice pick!
I never noticed that before! Wow.
Very nice! Very nice!
Director say it was because he hadn’t come to terms with her death yet so yes after his job was “done”he could start to grieve
Bobby said he didn't come for a funeral he wanted answer's before he could let go.
Jack dying and calling for his brother always gets me. Damn
Me too…heart wrenching
Don’t know if you noticed but all the brothers except Bobby accepted their moms death. That’s why they saw her at the dinner table at the beginning of the movie. Bobby didn’t see her until the end because they avenged her. I love that aspect of the movie.
When you're a brother and have brothers you really feel this.
Upvote. Got 3 brothers, 4 of us total like in the movie. Definitely feel this.
Especially when you had a fair, firm and loving mother to nurture the bond between y’all
my dumbass said five brothers one time in front of my sister and her husband lmao they havent let it go since like 13 years ago😂😂jack jacks death still gets me to this day and especially the scene when they eat dinner and all think about what she’d be saying
Idk why but this is so funny to me🤣 family never let you live those dumb comments down lmao
@@ZachCooper22 lmao never did fr😂they were dying and I still remember vividly💀
There was a store called Five Brothers where I used to live. You just inadvertently took me back lol
Underrated action movie. Feels like a modern western. Great action sequences, and great chemistry among the cast. Good fun, no more, no less.
Yo real talk it's some modern day Tombstone shit
I just discovered that this movie is loosely based on the 1965 classic western "The Sons of Katie Elder," staring John Wayne and Dean Martin.
Crazy I never knew that, but I do see some similarities.
Damn man. Good observation. I didn’t catch that, but you’re dead on.
I mean... It literally says "an urban western" in the back of my dvd copy lol
how do people say its underrated? the term gets used way too loosely. I dont even think people know the definition of it anymore
Antoine Fuqua, same director as Training Day, Tears of the Sun, King Arthur, Olympus Has Fallen, The Equalizer, etc. Highly recommend you to check out other movies on his filmography.
I love how they have "Trouble Man" by Marvin Gaye, playing as they introduce Bobby. Such a great movie!
I have one brother. He’s Korean. We’re both adopted, and I’ma ride or die for him.
One dope thing about the movie is their dialogue is natural as hell. I know they had mad fun making this.
you could tell the chemistry with this cast was awesome!
19:10 my boy Chiwetel Ejiofor!! He played the HELL outta that role!! One of my fav. actors.
Four brothers is literally my favorite hood movie
Ghetto classic for sure.
This film is thug certified and does more to heal race relations than anything BLM did.
I gotta say Mr. Video, literally 10 seconds in the video, I realize why I like to watch you as a personality because when you shouted out a brother you have that you never met and extended a hand. Genuinely funny and welcoming.
I agree....
"Our dad's name was Leo.."
You're a great dude Leo... Hopefully you get to meet your bro someday .. :]
One of Sofia Vergara’s earlier roles
I literally just watched this with my mother 2 nights ago.
Poor Jack the little fairy ❤😢
You already know this movie is one of our favorites and we love racist ass jokes 🤣
underrated?
Apparently four brothers is based in a 1965 American western called The Sons of Katie Elder
That was great, John Wayne movie!..watch it!!
Darn cool movie! Jack's death hurt us all.
My dad showed me and my 3 brothers this movie lol, we used to fight over who was who out of the 4 of them lol
It can't be heard very well in these clips, but one of my favorite things about this movie is it's soundtrack. ❤😊
Absolutely..a lot of Motown tracks in this movie...
🌿🌿🌿
Hell yeah
" Its cold out here when u by yourself"
You should do the film Fear (1996) it features Mark Wahlburg and Reese Witherspoon. That is another underrated Gem as well.
I've recommended this movie so many times on this channel! I hope he does it eventually
I used to watch this movie all the time! Always held a special place in my heart. Never took losing Jacky boy well 😂
This popped up on my for you page and all i have to say is YESSSSS!

This movie is based on the John Wayne Western The Sons of Katie Elder

Wow.. I don't think I ever thought about that.
Wonder if that's true.
@2:18 the old Detroit train station. It had been empty and abandoned for years before they filmed this movie. It’s been completely gutted and renovated since the movie came out. It looks beautiful!
Four brothers is my favorite movie. Awesome reaction brother!
You need to do Enemy of the State.

This movie is so underrated and the fact it's filmed in my city made me love this movie way more. Such a great movie
Another Jack death I'll never recover from😩😩😩
Bro this a childhood classic and still holds up today in my opinion the script is a little weak but the performances and the story are top tier and the connection between the brothers feels real the whole time glad u watched this film 💯🔥
I love this movie. They did a good job of making you care about the mom right away.
Thanks Mr Video 😊
I absolutely love this movie! Such a good cast and story. Mark made me feel differently with this role, the way he walked up to fight Victor!!! 🙀🙀🙀🤤
Good review Guy ❤
1 of John Singleton's best movies he directed.
Great movie with a bunch of great moments. I especially ove the bits where the boy, except Bobby, see mom during dinner. And then Bobby sees her at the end. Never thought it was underrated. It had top ratings.
Fun fact: Four Brothers is loosely based on an old western film called The Sons of Katie Elders.
This video hits hard today. I had a classmate that was shot and killed last night along with his girlfriend. They didn’t do anything wrong. My classmate was amazing and super sweet. It doesn’t make any sense at all . All the good ones go too soon😞
sorry for your loss
This is a great movie. R.I.P. John Singlton.
I’d watch a prequel series of them as teens in a heartbeat
It's a great movie. If you're in the mood for movies like this, Paul Walkers greatest movie is slept on. Running Scared is by far his best performance.
agreed
100%
i'm so glad you know this movie and recommended it... such an underrated movie
Fuck dude..every scene with Evelina it makes me cry and tgen the scene with Jack screaming mommy😭
He's screaming Bobby which is even worse, because they cut to Bobby who can't get to him. 🤧
Beautiful movie....the scenes when they remember her...well done!
I went to the movie theater to watch this with my family when I was younger. It's one of my favorite movies.
I just discovered that this movie is loosely based on the 1965 classic western "The Sons of Katie Elder," staring John Wayne and Dean Martin.

This is such a great movie! It's one of hubby's absolute favorites!

You're on a roll lately, I completely forgot about this movie but it's so good.
Four Brothers film is like the human version Ninja Turtles ✊🏿✊🏼✊🏿✊🏼🐢🐢🐢🐢
8/10 is a valid rating it’s a movie you can always go back and watch and it hits home everytime.
Filmed in part in Hamilton Ontario(corner store, house they lived in and other scenes)
"Your hair asshole, pulled off of Victor Sweet's dead body!"
*Maniacal, knowing laughter ensues*
This movie should be a slogan to tell everyone that no matter what race, religion, political view, whatever, anybody can be family!! and the right person to raise any child can always have some great benefit.

Family is family. All bets are off!! Great reaction. 🔥 ❤❤
I'm so proud of yourself todayyyyyy
Your handle is hilarious bro
Another underrated movie is Lucky Number Slevin it is really good. Has Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman just to name two major actors.
When you understand ya bros, even when you sometimes fight, that in the end you would give your life for them n vice versa this one really hits home. A comrade that will die in a trench with you is closer than your own blood relatives is a bond for life.

Four Brothers is a great movie
I laughed WAY TOO HARD at "Fowler, you Bastard!" LOL laid me out
wow 1:03 that corner store is down the street from me and wow there mom house is located a few block from me in my city of Hamilton Ontairo Canada wow
It always makes me i emotional when bobby finally can envision evelyn at the end. He was the only one who who didn’t at the dinner table and he had to resolve what happened before he could finally hear her talk to him

This is an awesome film, soundtrack is 100% aswell. Top notch choice 👊🇬🇧
This is still my top 5 movies ever thanks for the reaction!
I love this movie so much. It's one I could watch over and over without getting tired of it.
Yep, one of my all time favorite “Walk Up Scenes” will always be Bobby’s walk up on the ice.. One of the best & 💯% underrated films ever!!!
I still have memories as a kid shitting my pants scared at watching Jack get shot and him spitting up blood. Absolutely terrified me, now im an adult, this the best revenge drama.
@Its Mr Video Sucha underrated gem so happy you reacted to it. Much appreciated

Nowadays it feels like a one shoe fits all approach to movie making
Really happy you watched this leo, one of my all time favorite movies 100
Great movie, great reaction by one of my fav TH-camrs 💯💪🏽
Wish they would’ve made a sequel with one of Sweets siblings coming bacc to avenge his brother or some reason for them to write another one
This movie gets overlooked and it shouldn’t. The movie is phenomenal.
I love the chemistry between these guys....it's a great movie to rewatch. The twists at the end are so good :)
Four brothers is one of my favourite movies because I got four brothers two are black and the other are half bloods and this is how we act towards each other 😂😂😜😎🔥💯
