We will add a card and use it in-store.
For users in India: It's great that Google Wallet has just been released in India. However, I think that it is only for boarding passes, gift cards, and event tickets. It does not support tap and pay.

HI, I would like to know if the payment made by google pay only occurs by approximation or is there a way for me to send money to someone far away from me using google pay?
Google Pay works from your phone and on your computer. Anyone with access in the same country can use it. If you give your phone to someone and they use it somewhere else, Google Pay will work.
Google Wallet is a storage for your bank card, customer cards, event tickets. It is not a banking app so you cannot make transfers with it. it is simply the digital version of your bank card.

The thing I want to know is that like in iPhone if you want to pay , first you have to unlock your phone and after that you have to enter your password again to use wallet but in Google phone you have to just unlock the phone and when you are going to pay you don't have to use a password. That can maybe be a good thing but sometimes we can unintentionally scan the card. So can we add this feature like iPhone like when we have to pay we have to first enter our password or scan our fingerprint?

Unfortunately, Google Wallet does not have any security options. Samsung Wallet does, if you have a Samsung phone.
If you have Android you can protect apps of your choice with a code or fingerprint. so then you can use this to protect your google wallet. I have no idea about iOS.

Yes as long as Google Wallet is the default payment app.

Unfortunately, Google Wallet does not support sending payments here in Australia, so I can't help. You need to google stuff.

So ive got google wallet on my phone and have added a few of my cards, but ive tried to pay with it a few times at a store and ill open google wallet tap on the card i want and try tapping it to the pinpad but then nothing happens and the pin pad reader times out saying try again. I use samsung wallet all the time and when I use that I unlock my wallet with my fingerpring and swipe to whatever cars i want, then it asks for my fingerprint again and once i do it i get an animation that makes it clear the card is searching for a pinpad signal, and once it charges i see an anination so i know it worked. When ive tried google wallet theres no indicaction that makes it clear whether my card is active and searching for a pinpad. I genuinly wonder if im missing something stupid lol
Also when I open my Google wallet and tap on my card it doesn't open up a new window showing just the card like in this video, it just opens up a page with a smaller card on top and a bunch of settings like contact bank and set as default and nickname. Idk I've gotta just be doing something wrong 😅
I notice mine does not work on the first try every time. I always have to put it to the terminal twice every time.
MK... My airline texted me a link to my boarding pass and Android is requiring me to add the boarding pass to my Google Wallet. What if I don't want to do that? What if I just want the link to open in a browser window?
Copy that link somehow and open it in the incognito mode of the browser.
Hi i am trying to scan loyalty cards like flybuys and Woolworths but the screen is black . I have allowed camera access but still black . I noticed yours was not black . Are you able to advise why its black and how I can fix it. Phone is a new Samsung a34 5G. Thanks
Can you add payment cards? Try clearing the app cache. This may fix it.

I have one of my phones that'll work with the chime card and then the other one going to chime card says it's not compatible with this phone, I have another revvl 6 Plus 5G phone is saying that's not compatible either what they'll just doesn't have a new phone it was going to be compatible with Google wallet
We can't fix compatibility issues. Best to just get a supported phone, unfortunately.

It depends on your mobile settings. If Google Wallet is the only payment app you have, you can just tap without opening it. Go to your NFC settings, and choose Google Wallet as the default app to pay without opening it.

Without NFC there's basically nothing you can do and there's no bluetooth devices that can add the NFC option either

No, that's not supported on Google Wallet
What do if I need to choose savings instead of cheque on my card?
Each debit/credit card has a default account set, so Google Wallet will use whatever you usually use with your card.

I did not transfer money. However, in some countries, people can transfer money. It depends on your region. You will need to Google the app to see all the supported options in your country.

Google Wallet doesn't have this feature.
@@mks-mobile It does, but you won't have to confirm it for smaller payments. For example for Australia you would have to confirm you lock screen pin/pattern if your transaction is above $100 AUD. It really depends what country you're performing that transaction in.
As far as I know NFC can be disabled in the settings when the display is locked, so it should only work when the display is unlocked. You will find the setting under NFC.

Well, in that case, there is nothing you can do. What sort of pass do they ask?

It depends on the amount. In Australia, when we tap to pay, and the amount is more than $200 (i think), we must insert the card PIN into the machine. I'm pretty sure that's the case everywhere.

can I make an NFC payment without Mobile Network and/or Internet?
Yes! The app can pay when the phone is offline. However, there is a limit on the transaction amount and total transactions. When you come back online, the app sends data to the bank.

Go to the app settings. I think there is an option to add the icon on the lock screen.

There is no way to set up a PIN or password in Google Wallet.

Every bank doesn't work with googlewallet.
If your debit card is not a tap to pay card they may not support it. Some banks don't offer it for safety

No. The cards are saved on your device to protect them from online threats. You must add them to other devices to use them.

Google Wallet only supports sending/receiving money in some countries. If you don't have the option, it's most likely unavailable.

There is no service charge to use Google Wallet. Also, yes, you can do a limited number of transactions without the internet. Then, you must connect to continue using it.

ive been getting stuck at "contacting your bank" for almost a week now and it just says try again later that something went wrong and it looks me back to the beginning

@@mks-mobile yeah it does. I've used my old card on it for months, but the card expired and I tried updating it with the new expiration date and code but it doesn't work. I thought maybe it needed a new virtual pin but there's no way to reset it

If you mean the quick widget, that's not possible. However, Google Wallet has an option to add to lock screen now. So, you can open it from the lock screen. Go to Google Wallet settings.

@@mks-mobile when I open it it’s checking for updates, and then « an error occurred, try again later » and then the app close, I’m in France so yeah it support credit card, I try everything, clear cache and data, allow every permission, download an apk and then update it thru the Google play app, nothing
I never had this issue, so I can't help much. Is your NFC enabled. Can you try tapping a contactless payment supported card on the back on your phone and see if you hear a tone or something? This will check if the phone NFC has any issues.

People can take your card and use it anywhere. Nothing is 100% safe. You just have to be calreful.

Its more safe then a card itself, a card itself dont need a pascode to use it with nfc so when u loose ur card someone can use it while phones have lockscreens,
so i dont see the issue with this being worse, this is a improvment and more secure way,
Samsung wallet allows you to set up a pin. Hope Google can come with same layer of extra security

Tap the card. Tap three dots on the top right. Slide down to see the remove option in the last.

Contactless payment usually has a cap. Once reached you normally have to insert your card and enter your pin. Maybe its different when using your phone
That's similar to a plastic credit card which lets you make purchases up to say $100 without entering a pin number.

There is no log in and log out options.Once someone stole your phone and they were able to unlock your phone then your cards will be compromised!
The cards won't be compromised because people can't see them. However, they can use them in-store where cards are accepted.

The app automatically does.
