1KD-FTV D4d engines CRACKED PISTON @ 90,000k - NOT the CHEAPEST REPLACEMENT ENGINE see Description

WARNING: INCORRECT TORQUE SPECS & IMPORTANT INFORMATION CORRECTION.
I do know someone who has Cracked Piston‘s with one of these engines at 90,000 km.
I did forget to mention that.
It is one of the biggest concerns lots of people getting sucked in to poor man pays twice type products.
Hopefully there’s plenty of people that got lucky. 😉🙏

Question if you have the time to answer and since you not in Cape Town to pop into give a beer and have a chin wag. (1HD motor. How long does the coolant pressure last in the motor. I find after two to three days there is still a bit of pressure in the system. Is this normal?)

Great vid, i watch most of your vids, obviosly too much time on my hands.
Perhaps you could give me some advice, i have a 2007 Hilux 1KD 3.0. I am going to service my fan clutch but cannot find out how much silicone oil should be used.

@@Fourby4Diesel Hi ya, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I was not impressed with my air con, went to speacialist and he checked the coolant and it was fine. He came to the conclusion that i needed to top up the oil in clutch fan as he said i was not getting proper air flow. Beats me. He said he could tell by running a little cold water over the top of the radiator and looking at the readings on his guages.Buggered if i know, but it is a simple job so what the hell. Nothing ventured nothing gained as they say.

What is most worrying is all these damage videos of 1KD pistons, injectors. And rarely if none with let's say Mitsubishi 4M41

There’s lots more Toyotas than anything else I would say you will find it’s all relative and other brands have lots of other problems as well these vehicles are far superior in all other aspects included
