People hate on OreImo because it went full Incest, but when you think about it, the anime did exactly what it said on the tin: My little sister can't be this cute.
It's a sad truth really. Despite that (depending on how you look at it. Incest doesn't phase me.), it's a pretty good anime. Great characters, decent plot points, pleasing visuals, and they wrap it up rather well. In reality, the whole incest thing barely goes anywhere. Obviously I don't want to spoil it, but I'm assuming you've seen the entirety of the 2 seasons, so hopefully you'll understand when I say, I think the way they went about it was respectable enough.

Aside from the whole getting married and dating your sister, this show actually had lots of family values to it. Think about it, brother and sister are completely hostile towards each other, neither one caring about the other's existence. Then, when the other sibling gets into some trouble, the only one she/he can turn to is the sibling. Through that experience,both siblings are reminded of the fun times they had as kids. I think that's what Oreimo was trying to get across, "spend time with your siblings rather than ignoring them. learn to care about them and love them as family." Not "incest is wincest". Having a sister of my own, I actually clicked with Kyousuke pretty well, as my sister and I treated each other the exact same way until she got into middle school. Then she found out that I was the person who could help her out with her problems. Maybe I'm just playing out my life to make it fit the show, but hey, that's what I got out of it. And no, I didn't marry my sister at the end of that story. (only people who have siblings will understand what I'm talking about most likely)

My brother and I were really close when we were small, and then as we got older and my relationship with my father grew worse, my brother drew away from me for a multitude of reasons (some unreasonable, some actually my fault). But we both got older and as things happened to the two of us we remembered that hey, we're actually pretty cool people and it's nice to have someone to rely on. There's a quote from Code Geass that's "There really is no relationship as wonderful as that of loyal siblings." Truer words have never been said. And, no, I did not marry my brother either.

O my god I'm a major otaku and I watched hundreds of anine and this anime is one of my favorite animes ever I loved the op and season 2 op but listening to your voice sing the english version to this song made a african american 17 year old cry. U have a amazing voice and i want to thank u for sharing Ur voice with us.
... Did what does being african-american have to do with anything? Lloyd Livingston As if you are less likely to cry b/c you are black? And the voice is average. It is edited, remastered, chopped n screwed. It made you cry? Try listening to Celine Dion or Whitney Houston.

Racial Undertone? Pft -__- It's the same as if someone says the song has made "a Caucasian 17 year old cry". Bottom line: Who cares!? Its irrelevant. Emotions are not race specific, thats all i am trying to stress. What was the point of stating race in that manner. I mean, don't get me wrong... Its beautiful and amazing that a song can trigger such intense emotions... but why does it matter what race you are? "This song has made this 17Y.O. cry" is good enough and gets the message across.

Some singers accept it, Miku-tan has openly said she uses it, and takes no denial in it. Not all singers do that and I admire her for doing that. Some singers take it as a good thing. It depends on the person's opinion.
