    Dude I just realized that Gideon Ofnir actually uses more abilities depending on what bosses you have faced before. He was faceroll easy for me and never did any of the scarlet rot or laughing skull abilities because I didn't do Melania or anything but Radhan, Rennala, and Godrick by the time I faced him. He is literally learning from the bosses you kill throughout the game lol. So the less you allow him to learn, the better.

    I feel like while the ancestor spirit might be an easier fight, it doesn't detract from the overall quality of the boss battle. GoW proved boss battles don't need to be difficult to be fantastic and fromsoft executed that practice to perfection with the ancestor spirit. The environment of the fight is stunning, the spirit is absolutely beautiful and has a gorgeous moveset, the soundtrack is absolutely divine and the fight feels so peaceful. Rykard WOULD'VE been difficult for me, except I found out you can literally stunlock him to death in both phases. You just need to do your L2 attack, which stuns him, and then start charging it up again after around two seconds. If you get the rhythm down, it stuns him every single time before he has a chance to attack. Definitely the best gimmick fight FROM has ever made, but not without its flaws ;)

    Our picks differ so much due to routing and when we encountered the bosses it's insane. This game allowing you to pretty much do whatever you want when you want is something I didn't know the souls series needed but im so beyond happy they included that freedom. When I faced rennala I was kinda just chuckling like really? This is a shard bearer? But then I realized you weren't really supposed to go fight the draconic tree sentinel right after fighting godrick get mad you can't go through the door that tells you that you need more great runes and then go fight radahn. So of course I can see why I found her laughable but some who encounter her when she's meant to be would be a nightmare

      Honestly, some of the easier bosses in this game are some of the best. Hoarah Loux, Mohg the Omen (his second fight, while cool, can get really stupid with all of the AoEs you have to keep track of at once), and Fire Giant (not crazy hard but really fun) are all not crazy difficult, but their good design makes up for it. Also, some of the hardest bosses in the game are actually some of the worst. Malekith the Black Blade is way too fast for a Souls game (though I primarily blame that on how the game as a whole seems better designed for Sekiro’s combat and movement), Malenia is an amazing boss that FromSoftware turned into an utter abomination with some of her attacks and mechanics, and Godskin Duo is just terrible.

    • @christianlangdon3766
      @christianlangdon3766 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@thegrapethief5514 yea I found the difficult bosses are difficult more due to poor design. Mogh is fun until he has decided to throw four aoe things at you but is otherwise really great. Even lava wyrms can get cheap kills by scooting you in their lava via their massive hit box.
      Maleania kinda is a prime example of a her ai determining the fight more so than skill, her ability to potentially spam water fowl dance or not use it at all makes each fight more a roll of the dice as she may not use it for the entire fight until your out of stamina and than decide to use it once. One mistake meaning death is not great, the only other fight that looks like this is the heart of chaos. Yet the rest of her fight is still good and fun. @@Dahrk_Angel want a hint? 1 of these summons is the best in the game, called ouleg i think (the dual wielding 1), if you get him as spirit get ready to go through the game like a hot knife.(he can literally solo bosses) i wont spoil more but there are 2 others that are tanky as well as deal damage.

    Rennala being ranked as harder than Astel is wild to me. Rennala staggers so easily and has like no poise. Easiest fight of my life

    I had a strange bug with regal ancestor spirit and was wondering if someone else has as well. When I staggered him it, it still had about 80 percent of its health left. The weird thing is that he disappeared like he was deleted out of existence and some of the goats showed up, after about 15 seconds his health dropped to zero and I got the usual boss defeat prompt. Just a weird occurrence I'm curious anyone else has experienced.

      Sounds like it fell through the map or something.
