I generally watch people repairing wooden boats; Sampson Boat Co rebuilt Tally Ho., Sailing Yabba, Ship Happens. and a couple of other boats. Duracell Project a fibreglass boat and last of all onboard Tangaroa. The Tangaroa is an aluminium 79 ft vessel sailing up around Vancouver. They repaired a 1969 Alloy boat. one thing they did was strip the paint off the Hull, only leaving the anti fouling, from just above the water line. They had a lot of pimples on the hull and in some places had to do some welding to fill in holes. Oh and Mads on Sail Life repairing a fibreglass Cat. I have enjoyed your renovation of the Broward, the bringing the engines back up to scratch. Loved it when you opened her up on the flat seas, might have got a bit more if it was a dead calm. :) Your boat is quite the beast. :)

So enjoying the trip with you, totally. The boat looks and runs great.Been watching from the beginning taking it all in. My dad, who was a professional luxury yacht captain, ran a 85’ Broward out of Fort Lauderdale. My brother and I got to do the trip with him from Montauk to the Chesapeake when we were kids . The layout of the boat was almost the same as yours with the exception of the galley being behind the lower helm and there being a fishing cockpit on the stern. There was no bridge steering station. I have the write up on the boat when it was first built. Anyway, my spirit is riding with you with hopes of someday running the east coast with my Viking 44. Enjoy , be safe

I really enjoy all of your episodes. My senior law partner and his friend retired Florida Senator George Smathers 52:02 bought a used 65’ Broward in 1978. Neither had any experience with boats of any kind much less a yacht. They had a professional captain but were soon shocked by the price of any repairs. The boat had previously been owned by one of the Flying Tigers in China. The boat was named Flying Tiger. They changed the name to Brushy Face, a mountain in Highlands, NC and development my partner built. They didn’t have it more than a couple years.😊
I stumbled across this Channel by coincidence a few weeks ago I don’t own a boat I don’t follow any other channels about boats but Gus is awesome and his channel has become one of my favorites! Is there anything he can’t do? Simply amazing content!!
When my dad passed away of brain cancer in November of ‘03 I went out to the car to call family and let them know. Clocks by Coldplay was on the radio. Hearing it still brings back feelings from that night. I’ll never forget it. I love it though it makes me sad. The drone footage with that song was awesome!
Your comment touched my heart. I lost my father to brain cancer September 11th, 2003. I remember walking out of the hospital a few months prior after one of his surgeries and turning on the car and hearing "Clocks." Life is short, make the most of it.

At least that's what they use to do may want to check that out. Also, thanks for the video and chasing a dream wishing you the best. BTW anyone know if they still do?
This made my day, Gus. Keep it up, my dude.
Serenity looks so beautiful powering across flat water.
Wow.
Takes my breath away.
Thanks Gus!
They didn’t have it more than a couple years.😊
Okay you broke my heart ❤️ that drone shots so beautiful that looks like it's smiling it got somebody to love it again❤
Love love your channel. It makes me miss boating so much. Love love love the dolphins off the bow my favorite thing to see. Thanks again!!
@@350TPI I feel ya, Guss has been a gift for my sanity. Bet everything I own, his dad is unspeakable proud of his son.
Your comment touched my heart.
I lost my father to brain cancer September 11th, 2003.
I remember walking out of the hospital a few months prior after one of his surgeries and turning on the car and hearing "Clocks."
Life is short, make the most of it.
Beautiful lines at speed, shes a crankin'!
Again, you do not disappoint. Love your adventures, you’re doing life the right way. Thanks for bringing us along!!!
Super great video to Watch ❤. I have a little tip for you regarding night driving. Get yourself a Garmin GC™ 200 Marine IP Camera, you can even put one inside the engine compartment💪🤙👍😍
Perfect timing for me to space out to this for the last hour of work on a Friday! 😂
That drone footage was phenomenal. Like your know how around this boat!
Great cruising. Wonderful to see a capable yacht doing what it was designed to do instead of being a dock queen like so many fine yachts. Good job Gus, excellent videos.
We were exactly one day ahead of you guys after Belhaven. Stopped at Oriental, and then Southport etc down to Charleston. Cheers
Top notch editing as usual. Thanks for taking us along
nice to see a boat doing what it was made to do
"Cam! What are you doing?!" He thought he was in trouble or something 🤣 Keep up the videos, great crew!
You crossed all my favorite scuba diving spots off the coast of SC. Thats awesome.
I really love that you use real Songs, and beautiful ones btw, in your videos. Emphasizes the nice sceneries so well
He is absolutely going to get demonitized for it though
@@lowejagerno he’s not. He pays a service to use these songs*. It’s not Epidemic Sound. It’s a different one that has contracts with bigger music publishers and everything he uses is legit and legal.
How do you know this?
@@willw7743 i’m s video editor and i’ve done work for other TH-camrs
@@willw7743 because otherwise it would have been taken down
I don't want a yacht but your channel makes me want one. Plus those Detroits are a thing of beauty
That last drone shot there was incredible, the light on the boat and the sunset in the background, *Chefs kiss* Awesome video mate!
Guss you guy’s are killing it! Great editing! Been a fan now for nearly two years! Tom C
No Comment, Bro, You Guys Are Living The Dream!😎
Being from land locked North Dakota I know I love watching and experiencing the journeys you and others take out on the water. Keep up the great work and keep boating.
While your in Florida you should video some boat tours of your dream boats too. Would be cool to see your perspective
Time snuck up on me so this episode was a pleasant surprise. All you young guys need a guy like Kip around you. Someone who knows how to have fun, but also has the experience to know when it's not worth it. Plus the dude is a workhorse! He's done a lot of the mistakes and can help you more than you imagine. Old dudes..... I know cause I'm one myself.
I was surprised to hear he was married. That's a long time to be gone just to be with the boys
Everyone needs a friend like Kip.
Thanks for sharing, Gus. Smooth motoring my friend. Stay safe.
One of my favorite channels. Your boating, mechanical ,and now editing skills, are top notch and most appreciated by an audience that will probably never be able to do it themselves. Great job and safe travels…
I love the dinners, real meat guys, no potatoes, no veg, no salad. Just beef! 😂😂
❤ I loved end with Cold Play playing ❤
Those drone shots are absolutely beautiful. I stumbled across your channel, and had to subscribe. Love, love, love everything.....the ship, the crew, the realism, and especially the footage. You're doing an amazing job with the editing. You're truly living the dream. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
Great job Gus! Seriously..THANK YOU! such a great mental enema! Gods speed boys!
Gus that crime shot at anchor was spectacular. Now you know why Hollywood cinematographers call the hour before sunset, "The Golden Hour"! Fabulous lighting!
You were blessed by good luck with those dolphins!
Ienjoy watching your channel. I admire and jealous of your skills and use of your drone.
I'm a 30yr licensed profession mariner. Pro tip: your right VHF channel 16 is international hailing and distress. If you able via a second radio or using the dual watch function of a single radio, channel 13 is used as vessel bridge to bridge communication. Cheers and fair winds.
Watching Gus and crew on a chilly Saturday morning in Maine, sippin coffee and stoking the wood stove. Pretty perfect start to my weekend. Thanks Gus!!
Im saving this for tonight, need something to do on a friday evening.
I feel like your viewers including myself just want you to do great on this trip and future trips and sir you are doing just that.
Beautiful video Gus, your hard work shows. Nice to see Kip got out of the cold for a bit and relaxing in between projects lol. Loved all the paid for background music. Awesome crew you guys enjoy, I know we all are just watching your videos thanks.😊
Great video as usual, the good and bad it's always the real deal, miss Kip already hope we see him again in the future, someone needs to polish those other horns.
This is freaking awesome! You went right by our house!
That last sunset to Charleston, amazing!
Glad I checked before bed 😂
Always the good tunes man 😁
That drone footage at 34:47..... Chef's Kiss LOL, The look of determination!!
Way to go Gus a crew! You guys are killing it. Stuff like Fixing the exhaust leak is how it will all keep going. You see problems and don't hesitate to get things sorted. It's the Only way an old boat or any boat can survive. Hope your fuel costs don't hurt you too badly. Cheers!
Hey Gus! Sorry I missed you in Belhaven. We are having a Chile Cookoff at the ICW Brewery tomorrow and wish you and the crew were able to be there with us. Last weekend was Bryans birthday, owner of the ICW Brewery and he had an oyster roast! It was great. I will make sure I see you next time you’re in Belhaven!
Your making my day Gus. I love boating and you've been taking me on the great cruzes. I love your video's and narratives. I'll keep watching. Those drone video's are beautiful especially off South Carolina. Wow. Looking forward to the next video. Be safe between now and then.
GREAT HOUR!
LOVE LOVE The drone sunset shots.
The last clip is so prefect it looks like AI!
Thx Man for the trip
Awesome videos man yur very lucky to be traveling in your yacht. That's 1 thing I want to do before I'm gone. So awesome
