I legit used Wineskin to play this on my '15 Macbook Pro. It cooked so hot that it burned to touch and self-shut down several times before realizing I should stop.

@@Techno_Bunny433 yep se still has the best physics for now. I like empryion but really dislike that I can ram stuff like a planet from orbit and I just bounce lol while with se while not perfect in how it does stuff you do have to worry about hitting things
@@Techno_Bunny433 I feel sorry for whoever's computer would run that physics simulation...You really have the choice between large ships and structural integrity. SI is incredibly computationally intensive, and the one game the company tried that with failed miserably. (cough medieval engineers)

I like the giant electromagnetic landing pads from starsector lore. At least I think it's from starsector. Basically, a ship too underpowered to land safely or not built to survive gravitational forces can be slowed, stopped, and prevented from collapsing under it's own weight through the careful manipulation of magnetic fields. It's an energy expensive solution, but way more versatile than tacked on booster rockets.

This looks like the blessed combination of UNSC and Covenant shipbuilding. Rounded, almost organic, but with obvious heft and a massive gun in front. Anyway, you better have put nanobot cloud on that titan.
One thing I like about combat in SE is that you can actually reduce a ship's combat capability without blowing it up. In too many games, a ship can be 100% combat effective with one hit point left. In SE, you have players dedicated to damage control, running around ratways in capital ships doing damage control during battles.
That reminds me of the day i launched my dreadnaught into space, mine was a hell of alot larger than that, but it was built planet side and lifted off world by a rig of nothing but those big thrusters
The feeling when your hours build makes a liftoff. Also the feeling when you realize you forgot something, like gyro or something else that makes you do a deep dive and you cant do nothing haha.
