Hello again, I just finished Arvale 2. What an insane journey, I'm never going to be the same ever again. ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ The first game made a fundamental impression on me as a child and playing through the second game felt like the most loving gut punch imaginable to me. (I most likely got the worst ending as well 😔 Extremely unfortunate that there's no guides for Arvale 2 anywhere on the web)
Thank you so much for this video. It's really well done! Love seeing this obscure gem get some attention. I just finished playing Arvale on my father's pocket PC =) Around 12 hours of pure joy and nostalgia... And the more I played it the more I realized how it influenced me on my artistic journey, ahah. I wish it had more of an online presence. It deserves one. I should make fanart of it sometime ...
I still come back to rewatch this video from time to time, thank you so much for making it. Currently playing through Arvale 2 Ocean of Time and having a blast =]
I'll never forget these games. I played 1 and 2 on a hand down PDA I got when I was a kid. I remember almost getting locked at one point because I was out of HP on a bridge and had to pray I wouldn't get a random encounter until I could heal. I also remember stealing some soap in game 1, and then when I revisited the location in game 2, someone complained their soap had been stolen. These games are pure nostalgia for me.
I always have a comment like this dedicated to FactChecking. So if you notice any Error i've made , be sure to mention here and i'll add it to this comment. Intro is rendered weird cause i couldnt fix a rendering bug with Sony Vegas and had to record the Preview and play that instead. Huge Update: Since the making of this video Jaybot7's blog website has actually been taken down or been removed , since the website is no longer up. I have no idea what could have happened, but as far as i can tell , Waybackmachines last save of the website happened October 8th 2021. Since then , the website domain no longer exists. Rip. Update to the Update from last time : Website is back up but without any new info on it (as expected) but it is good to see it being back up as just an archive.
i remember playing the first game on my old super spring gps when i was in elementary school, then accidentally deleting it for some reason. i couldn't recover it so i just continued playing melonchi minecarts on it. good times.
What do you remember about Melonchi Minecarts? It's the only Arvale game I didn't manage to play and I keep wondering what I'm missing out regarding the story and stuff...
@@lunaria_annua_4444 it's a puzzle game where you ride on a minecart to collect gems, but the rails you've ridden on will break so you have to choose the correct route to get all the gems in one go. i don't remember there being a story
Hi, it's me again. I actually did some Arvale fanart (and will continue to do so) after saying I would draw some... a year ago... oh well! You can take a look at it if you want
Thats awesome, glad this game is getting a little love many years later. I dont mind you commenting once in a while, shows that theres interest still in this game. If you want to show me you can send me a dm on discord or Twitter, mate4_ & Mate4_
@@Mate4 Don't have a twitter, so Discord it is. I've send a friend request. Since we don't share a server I couldn't find a different way to unlock DMs, but you can just un-friend me later =] I've got a tired creature surrounded by study equipment as my profile.
