In the scene where Ula is kicking Henry on the ground and Lucy beats his ass with the bat, him running away and her chasing him was improvised. They used the same location that they used in Jurassic Park, and Rob Schneider wanted to run over the hill like they did in the movie😂.

@@Noonesbusiness-n1i That's true, but she's still a child and at some point she's not going to remember to "remember" that her mother has memory issues. at some point she's going to run in while her mom is sleeping and wanting to cuddle and Lucy will wake up freaking out.
I completely agree with what you are saying, but I still think it's a rough thing to have a child be responsible for.
The ending never fails to make me tear up when they play Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole's version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." If you have never heard it before this movie, I recommend listening to it. Such a wonderful song by someone gone too soon.

What always disturbs me is that, in lucy's mind, she only has 1 day to live. In 60 years when she's 90 and on her death bed, she's gonna think to herself, "WTF happened?! I was 30 yesterday, my life is already over!"
She has good people around her though, they'll do their best. The kids might turn out to be weapons but they likely won't.
“Click” with adam sandler is a heart shaker. I cried to it in 8th grade.
The ending so was perfect. There wasn't some magic "love cured me!" moment. Henry loved her so much that he did everything possible to make their relationship work. He devoted his life to her and despite the odds, was able to give her a life she normally never could possibly have had. So beautiful and touching.
Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore have great chemistry together. Their other two films, The Wedding Singer and Blended, are definitely worth watching as well.

I really like that ending and not just because of the weight of the reveal. We spend a bit of the movie exploring what Lucy's perspective might be like, but most of it is still centered around Henry. The ending was a great way to sidewind us once more with Lucy's experience of a jarring (and exciting) time jump.
A wonderful Rom Com. SO glad you decided on this one. The chemistry between Drew And Adam is great, this also had a top notch supporting cast.
I keep tellin people... Adam Sandler is underrated as fck.
All his movies have an important message, no matter how silly they are, the endings always bring things together really well.

This film surprised me when I first saw it. Went into it not knowing what the hell to expect and came out on the other side loving it. It's one of my faves. 💕 Great reaction, as always. 💯
So yeah, Lucy isn't able to remember him consciously, but the fact that she only sings on days she meets Henry and that she can paint so many pictures of him shows that her subconscious memory remembers him. And we all know that the subconscious is impossible to actively access; that's why it's called the sub-conscious.
The sub-conscious is something we can definitely access, just not necessarily at will, or every part of our subconscious. Our memories are in our subconscious right now but if theres a trigger that makes you remember something it becomes conscious, or how you can tune out certain noises if you're focused on other ones. But the issue is in her case in the movie it's hard to say whether or not the actual brain damage can heal, or maybe be "overwritten" in some kind of way. I'd say it's possible either she could learn to remember or not

@@MellSayzHi I heard that. Also that music can often get embedded in the subconscious along with subconscious memories. I've read cases where forgotten moments come back after years of being forgotten by playing specific songs that were played with the forgotten memories.
I in fact recently remembered a detail from high school that I had forgotten because of Mariah Carey song. So I agree, music and scents are very powerful methods for retrieving memories.
You have to watch "The Wedding Singer" and "Blended" to complete the Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore couple movies. They have great chemistry together.
Adam and Drew make an awesome duo in The Wedding Singer also. If you've never seen it, it's my favorite Sandler film.
Prob my favorite Adam Sandler movie TBH. BTW he didn't wait the year with her, he had just met her a year after her accident. The Wedding Singer is another great one with Adam and Drew, they work well with each other.

You really do have to watch the wedding singer. The music is amazing in that proper takes you back to 80s and how their first film and they have done blended as well together. They do a film together every 5-10 years together. They are awesome friends. This place holds a special place in my heart as my husband is like Adam sandler, so funny but so caring to friends and family..obviously the concept is she has brain damage and wakes up doesn’t know who he is, like I met my husband at 14 and we got together at 16 we are now in are 30s…and I have had epilepsy over 25 years. I suffer so badly from memory loss, I can’t tell you the scenes her in hospital and looking at herself and stuff like that how I can relate. It’s a very moving but shows how much you will do if you love someone

My Dad has had epilepsy since He was a kid and He is in His seventies now.
He goes one day from being fine and on it to the next day forgetting where a light switch is He flips every day multiple times a day.
Crazy, crazy thing, the mind.
And props to my Mom for sticking with Him and helping Him everyday and through His seizures when He has them.
She's a champion.

And your so right my husband does everything for me, sounds like your mum has been through same…but that’s love ❤️
This film makes me laugh but also cry, my cousin had a similar injury ,not as serious but she would forget us one day and remember us the next, she passed in 2011 so this film always hits me in the feels..great reaction as always my guy 👌♥️

Lusia Stru who is Alexa was also in *Last Holiday* (2006) with Queen Latifah and LL Cool J, a very sweet and funny movie, and *Stir of Echoes* (1999) with Kevin Bacon, which scared the sh*t outta me. She's actually really beautiful. After looking at her IMDb I realize I've seen her a lot and never knew it.

Drew and Adam have a 10yr Rule every 10yrs they do a film together. after they did Wedding Singer they did 50 first Dates and then they did Blended all there films together are great. For Adam Sandler Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Waterboy, Big Daddy, Mr Deeds, were also great. There are also Grown ups 1 & 2.

In 2021 I lost my memory for 8 months. I can only assume that I watched all of your videos during that time but I had no memory of them once I regained my memory so the only upside of that crazy time was that I had 8 months of your videos to rewatch. 😂 💜

I am by no means a romcom fan but this and The Ugly Truth are two of my favorite movies ever.
On a side note on the comment about Adam being able to sing, his career started making albums of sketch comedy and hilarious songs that he sings. You need to look into his old albums. They're all gonna laugh at you and What the hell happened to me are comedy gold to listen to!

This one is my favorite Adam Sandler movie, I love this one. Mr. Deeds is a close 2nd.
Yeah, the Drew trilogy, Mr Deeds and Happy Gilmore are my top five, but I couldn't say which is number one out of them. I don't think they could be improved upon, they're all perfect films just as they are. I can watch them over and over and always engage with the characters. He's a rare actor and director, and his chemistry with Drew just draws me in so deep every time.
Original working title for this movie was 50 First Kisses which is where the kiss montage came in.

I actually had a picture of Drew from that movie as a status on WhatsApp saying how I couldn't believe my eyes. Without saying anything to anyone,my sister commented saying she looks like ..... Dude, two suggestions: Bowfinger with Eddy Murphy. Has been done by others, but I think you'll love it. Other suggestion is a bit out there, and I'm not sure you can find it: Amos & Andrew, virtually unknown movie with Samuel L. Jackson and Nic Cage.
