It's because most women are pretty stup*d (just kidding! Sort of...) and therefore, easy to trick or at the very least manipulate (to be fair, men are too but the circumstances on how men and women are manipulated by the opposite sex tend to vary a bit). Also, very few of these men would actually be doing something like this. Most are probably just looking at a woman they find attractive and trying to initiate conversation. This is especially the case since a lot of young women who go on vacation tend to go for these "hot girl summers" or whatever nonsense and foreign men know this so when they see women from other nations arrive, they see them as a potentially easy one night stand. The chances of you actually running into a sex trafficker are going to vary depending where you are, but in countries like the US and Australia, those chances wouldn't even be above 1%. If you were in a country like the DRC though, the chances of such a thing occurring would be drastically higher. It is misunderstandings like this which is why men don't approach women anymore. Not to mention her being in another country, across a whole ass ocean where you can't do shit if theres an emergency. (In realistic terms not based on movies)
The only thing more terrifyingly than a momma protecting her kids is a daddy protecting his daughter. And the only thing more terrifying than that is if that daddy is Chuck Norris or Liam Neeson.
Great movie choice brother, keep up the good work. I was also someone who hasnt seen taken till the last few years. I always just pictured him as the dude who tried to buy trix cereal in Ted 2. Once I saw this, made me understand that scene 100% better.
This happens every minute of every day around the world. Women and children. Some women are even bought and sold to be breeders. And yes, it's the people with the most money getting them.
The actress singer at the beginning is australian. She was im a soap there and then was a 90s pop star amd did some pin up stuff. She was kind of a one hit wonder with her version of Kiss Kiss
One of his earliest roles was in the movie Darkman, where he plays a scientist who gets horribly disfigured in a lab explosion and takes his revenge on the thugs who caused it. It was Sam Raimi's first attempt at making a comic book film, and lead to him eventually directing the Spider-Man Trilogy.
Taken is a action thriller😁🔥. Bryan Mills is one of Liam Nelson’s most iconic characters as his line “You don’t know who I am….I will find and I will kill you” is so iconic and one of the best memorable lines in any action movie. It was a really fun film as it had emotions with father and daughter and some pretty good action, even though it wasn’t not quite well edited for me but still it was impressive. Loved your reaction/analysis, take care and have a good one❤️
First movie I remember seeing Liam Neeson in was a comedy called *High Spirits.* It also starred Steve Guttenberg (Police Academy) Beverley D'Angelo (NL Vacation) Peter O'Toole and Darryl Hannah (Splas & Steel Magnolias).
I absolutely love High Spirits. I randomly recommend this to reactors, but I don't think the comment ever gets enough likes to get noticed. I don't think a ton of people know/remember it. Another one is Haunted Honeymoon with Dom DeLuise, Gene Wilder, and Gilda Radner.
Not even just minors, but those 18 and up as well. I’ve heard of these shady groups that find vulnerable women who might be without families nearby, force them on drugs, and then just never let them leave. Scary
It isn't that common in the US. You are much more likely to get trafficked outside the US than in it. That's why of all the trafficking cases that do happen in the US, the traffickers take the victims to more "friendly trafficking" nations in which their disappearance won't cause too many raised eyebrows. Traffickers want to get out of European countries and the US as soon as possible because the governments would act ruthlessly to anyone caught in the business. It isn't like some countries in Africa and Asia where there are still thriving slave markets to the degree in which you could buy yourself a wife without having to worry much about being apprehended.
@@maozedong8370That's literally WHY it's so common in the US, not every teen and women missing in the US just magically disappeared or got lost and died somewhere. Don't know about now, but I remember growing up in the 2000's-2010's Walmart always had a big board at the entrances full of missing kids and their pictures, their names, DOB, when and where they were last spotted, how recent the picture was in case they looked different now, etc. THOUSANDS are trafficked in the US a year. Millions of illegal immigrants are smuggled into our country each year (Including even MORE sex trafficking victims) through weak security at our ports and borders, why make the assumption they're not bringing anything back? That's 50% of the transit wasted with no revenue 50% of your trip otherwise. And what are they gonna smuggle out? Drugs? From the #1 drugs market in the entire world? If you want to increase profits from selling drugs in the US you go inland AWAY from where they're easily smuggled in from the foreign nations they're easily made in. As an example Meth can be easily made in the US and all the way in Kansas for some PRETTY high purity stuff it's only $10 a point (of a gram, $30 = 0.3g or 300mg). Cocaine on the other hand? Costs a ton more for some (usually) pretty stepped on stuff, like $70 for a couple points or something; Ironically Cocaine is weaker while also being significantly shorter acting but it still gets that premium cause it's gotta be imported and is considered "More Classy". Women and children from the US are worth more since they're harder to get, that's why they're usually grabbed in foreign countries where they can make the extra money without having to do the extra work, plus slow police response, family being informed (If they even know, often family of tourists not having contact is what gets them reported in the first place), language barriers, jurisdictional questions, etc. Can give traffickers the lead they need to obfuscate their trail enough to basically make them disappear by the time everyone knows "something" is up and the ball finally gets rolling. It was only a few years ago an FBI agent and her partner were shot and killed while conducting a search warrant in connection with a child sex trafficking investigation. It was in South Florida, ironically also known for their issues with the Cartels and Cubans using boats along their numerous beaches, coves, swampland, etc to smuggle drugs, criminals, and victims into the US. No reason they couldn't the same method to smuggle things out. And that's just 1 trafficking point. Hundreds of missing kids a year are found by LEO stings on trafficking operations. And be careful of women ironically enough, they're often the ones that choose to befriend vulnerable girls/women or get them to let down their guard so they can get grabbed. Same with escorts too, it's usually another women/escort that talks a "friend" into doing it too.
when i was on my senior trip to the Caribbean(Disney cruise: 4 days at the resort and 3 days on the cruise), we stopped off at Nasau to hit up a straw market. one of my classmates chose to walk off and buy gifts for her family on her own. I opted to accompany her cause there was a news reports of a woman who was kidnapped and murdered in the Caribbean about a year before. she wasn't really discrete with her money(which made me very nervous), but nothing ended up happening other than a few glances at her then at me(I was much larger than her and, arguable, more intimating). NEVER go on trips by yourself.
It’s not necessarily a movie that was wildly popular but one I’d recommend for reaction is Peppermint starring Jennifer Garner. I’d also recommend a couple other Liam Neeson movies: A Walk Among the Tombstones and Non-Stop. They are both good in their own way
Thank you for hating what happens. I’ve worked with trafficked children for years. The horror stories I can tell of what people have no problem forcing to others for money, power, and an orgasm. We rescue and recover as many as we can. Sex is not pleasure to victims, it’s always trauma. Trafficking is dangerous like this, not too much over exaggeration. Pray for the taken, coerced, forced, and manipulated worldwide. Most people who even join that type of work don’t want to be there. Pray also one day people will stop buying people - of slavery especially.
Occasionally it feels like Liam Neeson's character could take on the Crazy 88 from Kill Bill, but I still really enjoy this movie. Some of my favorite moments: - The fact that Stuart isn't an asshole and that Lenore doesn't dump him to return to Bryan. - The bodyguard sequence when Bryan saves the pop singer from a stalker. - That excellent, "you don't remember me, I told you I'd find you," followed up with the fight.
Liam Neeson is an Irishman who was an ex-boxer and went on to become helluva actor. Also an Oscar nominee (Best Actor in a leading role) for Schindler's List, 1993. 20 years plus into his career, this franchise made him the new thinking man's action hero. The phone call scene is unforgettable and major selling point of the movie in it's first trailer. Shoutout to you for watching the unrated version, simply the best version. Part 2 is great and part 3 is decisive for not being a good finale. A prequel tv series to the first film ran for 2 seasons on NBC. The creators of TAKEN are Luc Besson (La Femme Nikita, Leon The Professional) & Robert Mark Kamen (The original Karate Kid films, 1984-94). They wrote many other gems together: Kiss of The Dragon (2001), The Transporter films with Jason Statham (2002-2008), Unleashed (2005) and Columbiana (2011). So you got to watch all of these if you can.
Interesting how Liam Neeson's career path is similar to that of another Irishman: Gabriel Byrne. Also had several other jobs before becoming an actor. And another guy who would fit this bill while not being an Irishman per se, is Harrison Ford whose dad was Irish.
Unfortunately this happens in every country now. This movie did more to have young girls take caution that any "lecture" from a parent. Sometimes the "creep" at the airport is just trying to steal you luggage or rip you off by triple billing the taxi fees but they are everywhere.
Agreed, I've been seeing a lot lately about people calling out pickpockets, too, and signs to watch out for. I love channels that call out the common tourist scams so people can watch out for them, it's incredibly helpful for awareness. Or like "sight-seeing tours" where they take you, someone, to pretty much take your money. And "shoe shinners" who drop the brush waiting for someone to pick it up that they pick as a scam target. Saying "as a thank you for picking up my brush I will shine your shoes for free." But they make you actually pay them for it. I don't know if it happens in other countries but there is another one I heard of in the US where "street performers" are dressed up like characters (tv, movie, showgirls, etc.) and ask if you want to pose with them for a photo. Then they force you to pay for the photo. If anyone in a costume asks you if you want a photo with them, keep walking, or decline. The only exception is if you are at a convention or if it's Halloween. So many scenarios you would never think of, especially if you don't live there or have never traveled there before.
happens more here in the US than anywhere else. but our society is so focused on “being happy” that everyone pretends the horrors of the world are right in our own backyards.
Not true...This do NOT happen in the nordics🇧🇻🇫🇮🇩🇰🇮🇸🇸🇪 And i pray we will always stay the safe countries we alway have been....I LOVE my nordic people 🥰
@@TingelingkissIt DOES and if you claim it doesn't you're either delusional, or part of the problem. Sweden literally has bombings and shootouts due to a gang war between teenagers, with teens chosen as the hitmen most often for gang assassinations since Swedens soft laws means they literally can't get a tougher sentence than some counseling or a few years in Juvie for murder. There was also those 2 that got raped and murdered in a cemetery, think it happend to 2 teens by a teen gang as well, and also in Sweden. A big part of it, regardless of your politics, was the large number of refugees brought into the country. The effort was never put into actually "Intergrating" them into their new country so instead there's now effectively their own society that's not only separate, but actively disagrees with the local ones. That's just ONE Nordic Country, there's issues to varying degrees and seriousness in others as well.
If this hasn't already been said, Brian was special forces when he was in his early 20's, by his mid 20's he had been recruited by the CIA (in the movie they mentioned Langley, that's the CIA's headquarters) and he was basically a master spy for like 30ish years before retiring. His friends that stopped by to grill steaks (and who helped him with analyzing the phone recording) worked with him in the CIA

This movie and Hostel were the two that made me hesitant to travel to Europe. I got over that fear and have been many times but it stuck with me that this kind of stuff still happens all the time.
Good timing watching this with the new trafficking movie 'Sound of Freedom' in theaters. There's millions of these kinds of 'slaves' all over the world. America is in the top numbers of trafficking humans across our borders and number one in child pornography. The big international airports and train stations around the world are dangerous for young people, including men, women, and children. This is the best one. Numbers 2 & 3 are barely memorable. I'd like to go with your John wick comment and advocate for a new wick movie with Liam playing his father who actually taught his son everything before disappearing, believing he was dead. Somebody contact Keanu for me, I've got a screenplay. 😊
When this movie came out I was 3-4 and I swear this is the reason why my mom has always been overbearing with me, I understand Kim's mom bc Brian was kind of smothering her but in reality it was just worry. You need to give your kids space to breathe bc if u don't they will end up hating u, there are bad people out there but I refuse to believe every person is evil maybe I'm just to trusting but I like giving ppl the benefit of the doubt it's just who I am.
That mentality will destroy you. It is best to look at everyone skeptically and only loosen that perspective after you have enough reason to trust them. I'd NEVER trust ANYONE with 100% of my being though. Not any potential wife, kids or anyone else. The only person you can really trust in life is yourself and even then, that has its problems because of how easy it really is to influence someone else via manipulation, chemicals etc meaning any decision you make can be the result of someone else playing you like a chess piece.
A family member kept sending me candy crush game requests to play. That's when I channeled my inner Brian Mills. I told them "I know who you are, and I know what you want, I don't have any interests in playing candy crush, but what I do have are a particular set of skills...LOL!

Not to mention her being in another country, across a whole ass ocean where you can't do shit if theres an emergency. (In realistic terms not based on movies)
Enjoyed your review! Trafficking happens everywhere, including the US. Young women everywhere need to be careful.
Glad you reacted to this one finally lol
There is a part 2 and 3
The only thing more terrifyingly than a momma protecting her kids is a daddy protecting his daughter. And the only thing more terrifying than that is if that daddy is Chuck Norris or Liam Neeson.
" Take his dog? " *inserts Keanu crying.................. Masterful editing sir! :D
Great movie choice brother, keep up the good work. I was also someone who hasnt seen taken till the last few years. I always just pictured him as the dude who tried to buy trix cereal in Ted 2. Once I saw this, made me understand that scene 100% better.
"I don't suppose this is a good I told you so moment." LOL!! I remember thinking that when I first saw this one. #greatminds
Liam is terrifying when he does the threat. In such a calm, cold way, I'd be cacking my pants
This just reminds me how great this film was compared to the sequels.
The ultimate I told you so moment
One of his earliest roles was in the movie Darkman, where he plays a scientist who gets horribly disfigured in a lab explosion and takes his revenge on the thugs who caused it. It was Sam Raimi's first attempt at making a comic book film, and lead to him eventually directing the Spider-Man Trilogy.
I really liked what you had to say during the move. Good commentary brother 👍
Love your reactions!
"Liam... did not play". Im rolling over here
First movie I remember seeing Liam Neeson in was a comedy called *High Spirits.* It also starred Steve Guttenberg (Police Academy) Beverley D'Angelo (NL Vacation) Peter O'Toole and Darryl Hannah (Splas & Steel Magnolias).
Holy crap. I haven't seen that movie in forever.
This stuff is really going on. Especially in America where child trafficking is a bigger business than pharmaceuticals
@@maozedong8370 alot is in the US though, thanks to open borders.
They are both good in their own way
Peppermint is a good suggestion.
“They both have points. Shit.” 😂 I love your commentary
Taken was first John wick learned well from mills!!! 😂😂😂 also love your reactions!!!! You should definitely do the whole series it’s so good!!!
“Thank god for rusty pipes”.😂
Solid Trilogy. Liam played this role to perfection
Occasionally it feels like Liam Neeson's character could take on the Crazy 88 from Kill Bill, but I still really enjoy this movie. Some of my favorite moments:
- The fact that Stuart isn't an asshole and that Lenore doesn't dump him to return to Bryan.
- The bodyguard sequence when Bryan saves the pop singer from a stalker.
- That excellent, "you don't remember me, I told you I'd find you," followed up with the fight.
The way he delivers his lines is truly terrifying.
They wrote many other gems together:
Kiss of The Dragon (2001), The Transporter films with Jason Statham (2002-2008), Unleashed (2005) and Columbiana (2011).
“Im here to protect ya ass, don’t make me kick ya ass!! Hahahahahah
Like my pappy used to say "Blonde's don't have more fun, they just do it more often."LMMFAO
One of my fav movies ever - so badass!
The last guy he capped was funny. He tried to negotiate with a guy who wiped out three groups of security teams. Somehow, he's going stop now.😅
If this hasn't already been said, Brian was special forces when he was in his early 20's, by his mid 20's he had been recruited by the CIA (in the movie they mentioned Langley, that's the CIA's headquarters) and he was basically a master spy for like 30ish years before retiring. His friends that stopped by to grill steaks (and who helped him with analyzing the phone recording) worked with him in the CIA
Fun story. Me and my 2 friends Mark and Neil went to france. My friend Mark was really nervous so we asked him if he'd ever seen Taken. Dude hardly spoke a word the whole trip XD
such a fun story… im rolling in laughter… 🫠
A1 commentary lol loved it and your sound bites! Subscribed!
Carlee Russell’s favorite movie. Liam Neeson played the hell out of that role.
I don't know the specifics of her case, I just saw last night and again today her name and that she's being charged with a hoax. Hearing this burn, and knowing this film, I can imagine the things she claimed just from knowing that. Dang! *goes to read up on it
He's in a great movie called The Marksman (2021) Great action... reaction-worthy!!! 💚🎬💚
PS... TAKEN 2 is good but not 3 so much
Omg when Brian kills st Clair in the elevator and it opens up on the party the lady screams and you yell YEAH LETS GET THE PARTY STARTED. I lost it 😂😂😂
This came out when our eldest daughter was a teenager. More young ladies got crushes on Liam Nelson as the greatest Dad ever! 😹
The “I will find you, and I will kill you.” speech is absolutely phenomenal.
Honestly, it’s terrifying
This movie and Hostel were the two that made me hesitant to travel to Europe. I got over that fear and have been many times but it stuck with me that this kind of stuff still happens all the time.
Loved that clip of John Wick at the end. Salute to the editor!
I am so glad you watched this one! This is an amazing film! I also would like to suggest Clue, Hidalgo and Kung Fu Hustle!
he reacted to kung-fu hustle awhile back, it was hilarious!
Love Liam Neeson! Been watching him in his career for a long time! I also love your reactions! You be having me cracking up! 😂
This would be like one parent saying, OH, ITS JUST A DIRT BIKE RACE.,,,, WHEN, ITS ACTUALLY A HELLS ANGELS RALLEY IN VEGAS, on friday the 13th!!!
Great choice Leo. Love ya!!!!!😍
15:43 the french guy says : with him it will not stay like this for a long time don’t let yourself fall asleep
A family member kept sending me candy crush game requests to play. That's when I channeled my inner Brian Mills. I told them "I know who you are, and I know what you want, I don't have any interests in playing candy crush, but what I do have are a particular set of skills...LOL!
Great movie, thanks V,
Great commentary! Really enjoyable first reaction.
Screans over body in the lift.
"Let's the party begin!" :)🙂
This and Bourne are a welcome relief from the over the top Bond flicks
I like to think Liam improvised that middle finger scene. I died laughing at that part too
I’m so happy you are back man❤
Don’t stop making videos😢
Where was he?
Love this movie ❤❤❤❤❤ 🎥❤ Taken 1 2 3 all great movies 🎥 👍 Love them all
WHAT ELSE WAS TAKEN. great line
"I'm here to protect your ass. Don't make me kick your ass" 😂
By the way you do the best reaction videos
Liam neeson was a boxer before he was an actor. He knows action
Dope reaction big fell
You, My Friend, give the best reviews. Thank you Sir.
God I love all the throat punching in this movie. It is so affective
Such a good movie. the calm but menacing demeaner of Neeson is incredible. And his phone speech, just epic. "What i do have..." Also, if you didnt know, He is the voice of the Lion, Aslan< in the Narnia movies as well
The movie Sound of Freedom and this movie have a lot in common.
Hi Mr V hope you've had a good day. Liam Neilson has made some great movies. Love to you and your family.❤
Dope reaction as always. Keep doing ya thing man! ☝️
This is going on worldwide and on a scale that people would scarcely believe.
@IT'S MR. VIDEO May I suggest 'The Grey' for another Liam Neeson movie? 😊
This n Braveheart are my ❤ favs
Oh yes! This is a classic. Part 2 is my favorite. I them on blu-ray. 👏
Love this movie ❤
Hey, L! 😊👋🏾
Great reaction buddy! Very genuine!
His background? They said Langley, so he must have been CIA.
Liam’s actress wife Natasha Richardson, daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave, died a few years back due to a snow skiing accident.
When Taken 2 came out the joke going around was that he went back to Paris to get her luggage.
