I just started playing Days Gone a few months ago in 2024 and after playing 1 or 2 days a week when my schedule and my kids allow Ive already beaten the game. I'm at 100% on all the storylines. I wish there was a sequel I'd buy it in a heartbeat. In the meantime I've reset all the hordes, ambush camps and infestation zones. I'm working on taking down all the ambush camps with 100% stealth tactics.
A friend just bought me this it's not bad. Went to first north nero checkpoint at lvl 2. fired the generator thinking i was clever as i did see the siren speakers and cut them. Fired up the gen, went in, and got the needle. I went to the back door opened it and there was the horde of w/e 100? i noped closed the door and tried to run. They didn't care came inside and beat me to death as I laughed my ass off. That was a pretty good impression.
I absolutely loved Days Gone back when i played it, i have very few complaints with it outside of the technical issues, it reminds me of State of Decay 2 but with an actual story, and a very long one wich i loved even if many others didn't. One of my all time favourites.
I already signed the petition and I REALLY want a days gone 2 to have another chance to be in the spotlight, because with how awesome the first one is a sequel will only improve, and cmon that cliffhanger!
@@jovakhiin No, thats not how it works They will see it took 3 (or more) years to garner "meager" 300k people, with multiple spikes thanks to videos. The game didn't sell well and that petition is only sealing the grave.
I’m still a days gone fan and I’ve recently been playing the story again with my boyfriend just watching me play. He has fallen in love with the story and he is so devastated that it doesn’t have a second part. He has actually commented to me that he finds nothing about the game to be boring or slow. He thinks the openness of the world itself enjoyable even for just watching and he is now holding out hope for a sequel to the story, I’ll be hoping for the same but I’ll continue to replay the game over and over again.
What do we expect from Sony? They've screwed us over way too much. First with making PSN paid for in the ps4 era, then them removing thousands of movies and shows people bought on PSN without giving warning or refunds, put multiple PS classics like Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank (Not the reboots), Sly Cooper and Infamous on the back burner forever, to funding "Modern Audience" games to cancelling any game the fans would've wanted. Sony keeps double down on BS instead of catering to their real audience who want naturally diverse, fun, well written games that don't have more cutscenes than gameplay.
A year ago I had never heard of this game heard a review or anything and I’m a zombie lover so I decided to try it since it was on my plus. Turned out to be one of my fav games of all. 12 play throughs and a platinum. And there’s something new every time. Damn good game Edit: Sony we don’t want a movie. Spend that money on a Days Gone 2
Broo i just watched your original one to days gone, now this bro nostalgia out the roof make me wanna replay it 😂 i loved this game and wish it makes a massive comeback and gets its sequel
There were a lot of technical issues on its launch which definitely affected review scores for context I'm sure a lot of those issues got patched later. I played it on PC years later, and the port was buttery smooth and never crashed making my experience top-notch, the gameplay is some of the best in its genre.
I played it at launch and loved it, there were hardly any issues. The only issue was that people believed the bullshit from IGN and other bs "game sites". When I read the "reviews" after playing the game it just confirmed why I never will even look at them before I buy a game.
@@Flaggytnah man, I got the game day one and played it til I beat it. It was definitely plagued by technical issues and bugs when it first came out, from horrible texture streaming, hordes just not attacking me, sound bugs and the game crashing. It definitely was not exactly perfect on launch. That being said now in it's current state is one of my favorite games of all time.
This was a game not quite on skyrim's level, but very similar. If you wanted to just pick flowers, you could, if you wanted to do a mission, you could, if you want to just fight a bunch of enemies just for the sake of fighting enemies, you could. You just wanted to drive a motorcycle around, you could. The enjoyment you can get from this game could match any mood you had when you loaded the game.
Didin’t play it as i have no playstation but maaaaaan the story and characters fuuuuucking hooked me in as i watched it….and i will continue to hold a small amount of hope for a sequel as long as i can
That's what made it great! They took the time to build the relationships between characters. I watched every cut scene and read every interaction. I CARED what happened. Most games just use NPCs to push the game along. In DG they WERE the story.
Days gone was for me as good as the The last of us,maybe even better at some point. maybe because it was an open world game. It was fun, intense and sometimes downright scary
Fantastic Video I always feel devastated that there may not be a Days Gone 2 but always love your satirical humour in these videos. Definitely hilarious 🤣
Love Days Gone, one of my favorite games. played it through 5-6 times and It is still fun. Really hope It gets a Sequel. Loved that you can relax, drive your bike, enjoy life and the next second, run for your life :) Exellent in so many ways.
I'd love to see both a sequel and a film. Odd choice not to cast Sam Witwer though. Does Sony somehow not know he's also a live-action actor? Only encountered his work on Star Wars products by chance?
I did purchase this game at launch and thoroughly enjoyed it , on a PC now and recently got it through Steam , currently on my second play through at this moment and loving every minute . Would like to see a sequel .
I sometimes wonder if Sony cancelled the sequel to Days Gone because they don't want to be competing with themselves, like they already have a massively popular financially viable post-apocalyptic zombie franchise (Last of Us) which is Sony's favorite cash cow. So however slight it may be, they don't want any game taking attention away from whatever the next Last of Us project is going to be: game, tv show, movie or what have you. Having said that Sony does love bragging about how high their game's Metacritic scores are so maybe it has nothing to do with Last of Us and they just see Days Gone as a bit of an embarrassment that they want to forget about.
just was one of the best single player games I played in a while. The horror and tension it made me feel. I was really sad there was not another one. It is very well made.
Bro, Why are you so relatable; I wanted that Sly Cooper movie ever since I saw that awesome trailer and just shattered my dream of seeing Sly again. He was witty, confident, and looked amazing in the trailer, I had SUCH high hopes for it. Then NOTHING and cancelled, WHY.
The simple answer is that they got cold feet over it possible not keeping up with the fame of the original IP and causing harm to it. Look at how long Ubisoft was looking at making Splinter Cell a movie and canned that idea, it's not the first time and it won't be the last I loved playing Sonic but hated the movies cause they were just so off the mark, same with almost all the RE movies, even the animation ones. Few IP's have a successful crossover from one medium to another, it just is what it is TBH I think each should, with certain exceptions, stay in their lane.
Days gone was extremely underrated and could have a sequel. Yea it was expensive and timely but i see that they could easily make a sequel for cheaper and less time through out the whole story line they opened up about the past years that they can bounce back to. It also was really shitty timing for release as it got nearly no advertising as it was blocked by MLB 2019 and death standing was releasing 7 months later.
Damn i sso hope for a sequal to days gone. Its very weird how i thought certain things in the game where a bit flawed.. BUT i played it TWICE. I almost never play a game twice. Similar to that mad max game that had flaws and i was like well i don't think this part is very good? But....? I also played it twice because something about it just works.
The critics probably only play a few hours and in case of Days Gone it's "wasted" on the intro which definitely wasn't the best part of the game. I played it for a bit and then ditched it for about a year too before I even finished the intro. Once you're past the intro it got a lot better and even more so once you have a bigger tank for your bike so you won't have to fill up every 2 minutes.
Ive just completed all of the horde and feel happy about that. This game was probably the most terrifying when you're running into 50 to 100 raging 28 weeks later zombie who all run fast and they run fast at you! Havent finished many games in my time but this one I made sure I cleared the maps!
And useless "critics" and "journalists" who put 1% of the time needed into any given game over the last ten plus years, it's become more about a games political optics than the actual game itself, and devs of some pretty impressive games at launch haven't helped either, looking at you HD2.
I've played thus game many times and it needs a part 2. J heard Sony had something to do with why it was scrapped. I guess they rather see The Last of Us get made and then remastered and whatever else, which it's a great game series in itself but come on give us more Deacon St. John
Imagine having sam witwar, an actor that always gives his all regardless of what he's in and not wanting him for a movie where the main character has his face
I've discovered Days Gone a month ago.... and now I'm playing almost religiously, lol. I like it very much, even though I'm still on vanilla version. Keeping the hope for Days Gone 2.
Finished it a few days ago. One part of me is fine with not seeing more. Means that nobody that I grew to like dies in a stupid or even dramatic way. On the other side.. the whole setup with O Brians Warning.. I'd like to see more of the backgrounds and developments of the virus.
Just one small correction on your clip, John Garvin's new IP isn't the game you showed, AshFall was a game made by another company already, so he changed the name to Trails Wars, we haven't seen his new game yet. The concept is pretty cool, so I'm looking forward to his stuff.
It was so underrated. I honestly spent as much time in this as I did on Garry's mod or arma. And when people started to mod it. It became endless. Shame we may not get the second.
Days gone left us on a cliff hanger like decon gets his wife back and finds out that o Brian is a zombie who works for the government that opens an entire new storyline alone
A few things grinded my gears with this one, pun intended obviously, the ammo was the biggest grind, if you only lack one bullet of whatever, that's what you get from a giant ammo box, and said box is gone, that is extremely bad for a survival game, the weapon pairing system also caca, than small details like slick road tires actually working on mud, more unbelievable than zombies Its still one of the only 2 games i went platinum, the other i was bored to death, not with days gone, kept me glued to the end, unexpected little gem
Amazing game. Word around the camp fire is that the reason why there's no p2 , is because of the cost of the hords and the game didn't make enough to cover a p2.
I played it on pc and i will admit the beginning dragged on for a bit but then it got really good and it was such a blast playing through the whole game. I really want a sequel
I play a LOT of games, and yet I keep looking for a Days Gone II to show up. I love that game so much. I'm stoked for the idea of a movie. Though I'm skeptical that movies are going to be as big and bold as they were in the 80s and 90s. The streaming model has changed how audiences consume movies. I think games are really the future of big budget entertainment. Even with the development troubles Days Gone had, it appears to have been a big hit financially for Sony. Keep on stirring up interest in Days Gone and we'll hopefully see a sequel someday.
I can tell you they didn't, I live in Oregon and at this event I was at bend studios was there and they said they were in the progress of making days gone 2, this was all in June of 2024
Though it's not happening, I don't know if I would get it if it required constant internet connection/ no offline play. I love Days Gone... platinumed it on PS4, and have put in like 30-40 hours right now on Steam.
Another issue is they didn't promote it. I didn't even know it existed until it popped up in PlayStation Plus. I would have gladly paid full price had I known about it.
This is the game with the word Day in the title that deserves a sequel. Unlike another similar game with Day in the title that is flat out horrible. By which I’m referring to Fntastic’s flop The Day Before. Bend Studio can create a sequel just without Deacon. New characters, new story the whole shcemer.
Piss off with your movie just give us another game, bought this game on launch on ps4 but life happened and I couldn't complete it at the time. Now I'm on PC and am about halfway through it totally hooked its a fantastic game and if Sony don't want to approve a sequel then then that proves how out of touch they truly are
Damn I haven't heard Syphon Filter talked about since PS2 lol I still play 1,2 & omega strain from time to time That and Splinter Cell were two of my favorite series growing up.
Im just commenting for the algorithm We NEED Days Gone 2 If this dropped in 2024 we would be loving this! (We are struggling with new, big time PlayStation first-party narrative driven games right now)
Yes this game is underrated definitely need a part 2 hopefully they release at the right time and promote better this time around if you haven’t played part 1 you missing out
They should add variety of costumes and new clothing/accessories for the story mode. Even for The first game. And they should have someone teach Deacon how to swim, because people may not know… but that’s why you aren’t allowed to swim in the first game. It’s even in a flashback mission with Sarah.
The reason Deacon can't swim is the PTSD he deals with from his time in the Army, he tells Rikki this when they ride together, He pulled like six of his battle brothers out of a submerged Humvee in Iraq and they were all dead. That's why the swimming mechanic is the way it is and it keeps you from using the water once it's too deep. As for the clothing it's an apocalyptic game being two years into it there isn't going to be much in the way of "new" clothing just laying around in their sizes to put on, also IRL when an individual dies their bodily functions cease that means they urinate and defecate themselves like the Zombies do so taking clothes from the recently departed isn't a viable one for games looking for an immersive experience.
@@jericho1-4 Yeah I know about the swimming part i heard that, what i meant was like help him get the hang of it again and face his fears with Sarah/Rikki. And the clothing part I understand but the other military outfit they had u wear for half the game should be an option to switch too and let u take off/on accessories like the hat, vest, satchel, shirt and jacket . I just thought it woulf be really cool for a change like that one day.

The first bit is boring, but after the first hour, maybe two, it is SOOOOOO worth it
it's a genuinely amazing story, especially when the story gets ramped up
Play it it's like wwz but your a cool biker killing zombies also the story is great
@@akihiito
*SPOILERS*
Except when it gets to the part when Deek gets captured by the Rippers. That was cheap.
This is my first play through, so hopefully the story redeems itself after that.
I’m really enjoying the game otherwise.
The first 15 hours is boring but after that it's good. Sadly for most people it's too much including me lol.
The update they did to day's gone on PS5 was amazing. It fixed every little glitch all the lag and made it look absolutely beautiful.. not only does this deserve the sequel game, but it also deserves its own television series
"How about organizing an online fundraiser by fans, and then Sony matches the funds raised?
lol, they would need to raise like 50 million bucks
@@OniZombiesI say it's very possible considering space scam has raised over $644 million already
Fans won't be able to raise 100 million that's what it would take for Sony to match it and it be worth it I love the game but just being real about the situation
@@OniZombies it would be more then that 100 million if the first game was 220 million then the second one would cost even more especially to improve the game and add things to it
Or have pre orders and the fans out their money down. If the game never gets made they could give us store credits for our deposits. I would preorder if that would help the developers
Would be great to see your review on state of decay 2, it changed a lot since release
can't wait for number 3 to come yet soon XD
Can't wait for number 3 to come out xD
Everytime I'd jump a hill on the bike, the old "Juicy Fruit" song would be playing in my head. The game was SO fun!
I already signed the petition and I REALLY want a days gone 2 to have another chance to be in the spotlight, because with how awesome the first one is a sequel will only improve, and cmon that cliffhanger!
there were plans BUT WE DIDN'T CARE ITS TO LATE
@@POLSKI_SZPADELhey, you never know the petition maybe 3 years old but with enough attention garnered someone at bend studios could us it as leverage.
@@jovakhiin No, thats not how it works
They will see it took 3 (or more) years to garner "meager" 300k people, with multiple spikes thanks to videos.
I definitely want a sequel :’(
What do we expect from Sony? They've screwed us over way too much. First with making PSN paid for in the ps4 era, then them removing thousands of movies and shows people bought on PSN without giving warning or refunds, put multiple PS classics like Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank (Not the reboots), Sly Cooper and Infamous on the back burner forever, to funding "Modern Audience" games to cancelling any game the fans would've wanted. Sony keeps double down on BS instead of catering to their real audience who want naturally diverse, fun, well written games that don't have more cutscenes than gameplay.
They know they have no real competition which explains their bs
Game critics and "journalists" are completely useless in today's era. TH-camrs and crowd score is where it's at.
A year ago I had never heard of this game heard a review or anything and I’m a zombie lover so I decided to try it since it was on my plus.
Turned out to be one of my fav games of all. 12 play throughs and a platinum. And there’s something new every time. Damn good game
Edit: Sony we don’t want a movie. Spend that money on a Days Gone 2
Broo i just watched your original one to days gone, now this bro nostalgia out the roof make me wanna replay it 😂 i loved this game and wish it makes a massive comeback and gets its sequel
thank you :)
Didin’t play it as i have no playstation but maaaaaan the story and characters fuuuuucking hooked me in as i watched it….and i will continue to hold a small amount of hope for a sequel as long as i can
There is PC version
The worst part about days gone is that the story keeps dragging on, just when i thought the story was going to end it keeps going for hours
Thanks a ton!
Love Days Gone, one of my favorite games. played it through 5-6 times and It is still fun. Really hope It gets a Sequel. Loved that you can relax, drive your bike, enjoy life and the next second, run for your life :) Exellent in so many ways.
Best game i ever played.
I'd love to see both a sequel and a film. Odd choice not to cast Sam Witwer though. Does Sony somehow not know he's also a live-action actor? Only encountered his work on Star Wars products by chance?
Deacon realized that Sarah was going to be a recurring character, so he chained himself to his bike and rode into the lake.
I just cant stop playing this game, it is like a drug.
6:59 I love your jokes, everything seems so serious and then you drop the biggest laugh bomb
Thank you :)
I did purchase this game at launch and thoroughly enjoyed it , on a PC now and recently got it through Steam , currently on my second play through at this moment and loving every minute . Would like to see a sequel .
love these recent videos about days gone amazing work on these days gone and dying light videos oni
Thank you!
If they ever do the sequel, please don't fix the swimming as there a logic explanation why he doesn't swim. It is explained when he ride with rikki
just was one of the best single player games I played in a while. The horror and tension it made me feel. I was really sad there was not another one. It is very well made.
That "fuck you" to The Last Jedi made my day. Thank you Oni!
And congrats on the correct pronunciation of my home state, you're one of us now brother.
Hell yeah :)
Sly Copper 2 is one of the best platformer games of all time. Sony needs to remaster it. I loved that fucking game, i need it back.
Enjoyed the game for its atmosphere a lot.
Days gone is great. I only beat it once, but I was very satisfied with my playthrough. Specially cuz i tried to do all the side content.
I LOVE this game so much, companies ALWAYS do this cancel the good ones and put out shittier games seems they just listen to the 0.0001% of gamers
John
It’s such a shame that game studios seem to make games solely for the reviews and not for us gaming fans.
Imagine having sam witwar, an actor that always gives his all regardless of what he's in and not wanting him for a movie where the main character has his face
This game got done dirty by critics, also Jim Ryan is probably the reason we never got a sequel so glad he is gone.
REAL.......
REAL
@@OniZombies yooo ain no way i got hearted by my favourite dying light 2 youtuber Love your content man❤😭
I did NOT expect a video on Days Gone
the new future :)
Why in the name of all that’s holy would they NOT cast Sam Witwer???? He is Deacon St. John. Hollywood is terminally stupid.
I've discovered Days Gone a month ago.... and now I'm playing almost religiously, lol. I like it very much, even though I'm still on vanilla version. Keeping the hope for Days Gone 2.
One of the best games I've played. Currently replaying
Unless you’re outside of the US, how do you pronounce Oregon wrong?
I love this game.
Finished it a few days ago.
One part of me is fine with not seeing more. Means that nobody that I grew to like dies in a stupid or even dramatic way.
On the other side.. the whole setup with O Brians Warning.. I'd like to see more of the backgrounds and developments of the virus.
I recently played this game and wow, what a gem, it has some irksome issues but overall a good experience. Gutted there won't be more.
I really enjoyed days gone but I wish it was co-op to
I still play this game and we need a sequel
Just one small correction on your clip, John Garvin's new IP isn't the game you showed, AshFall was a game made by another company already, so he changed the name to Trails Wars, we haven't seen his new game yet.
The concept is pretty cool, so I'm looking forward to his stuff.
Sony is known to be scummy when it comes to approving development of games
It was so underrated. I honestly spent as much time in this as I did on Garry's mod or arma. And when people started to mod it. It became endless.
Shame we may not get the second.
critics reviews of this game were completely detached from reality
If they announced DG2 it would be the #1 game wishlisted on Steam. Fck Sony.
Days gone left us on a cliff hanger like decon gets his wife back and finds out that o Brian is a zombie who works for the government that opens an entire new storyline alone
A few things grinded my gears with this one, pun intended obviously, the ammo was the biggest grind, if you only lack one bullet of whatever, that's what you get from a giant ammo box, and said box is gone, that is extremely bad for a survival game, the weapon pairing system also caca, than small details like slick road tires actually working on mud, more unbelievable than zombies
Its still one of the only 2 games i went platinum, the other i was bored to death, not with days gone, kept me glued to the end, unexpected little gem
A movie is absolutely stupid, and not even getting Sam Witwer to play Deacon makes it worse. Dudes a terrific actor
Its a baffling choice
I would be so happy if they get their asses together and make the second part of days gone i don't understand why they are not going to do that
Amazing game.
Word around the camp fire is that the reason why there's no p2 , is because of the cost of the hords and the game didn't make enough to cover a p2.
That Sly movie was cancelled, then turned to a TV show, and that got cancelled 2 years ago... Pain
Currently playing it for the 3rd time in 12 months. It’s that good. Definitely deserves a sequel
The mechanics of the hoards alone made this such a great game. Such an underrated game.
One of the best games I’ve ever played and platinumed
Now I'm on PC and am about halfway through it totally hooked its a fantastic game and if Sony don't want to approve a sequel then then that proves how out of touch they truly are
The sequel pitch was rejected internally by the management team within Bend Studio itself not Sony
Such a great game, love the zombie horde aspect and the Syphon Filter connection. Too bad we won't get a sequel.
Damn I haven't heard Syphon Filter talked about since PS2 lol I still play 1,2 & omega strain from time to time That and Splinter Cell were two of my favorite series growing up.
Im just commenting for the algorithm
We NEED Days Gone 2
If this dropped in 2024 we would be loving this! (We are struggling with new, big time PlayStation first-party narrative driven games right now)
Yes this game is underrated definitely need a part 2 hopefully they release at the right time and promote better this time around if you haven’t played part 1 you missing out
I loved it! Finished it two times with 100% complete. Would love to se a sequel!
Days Gone 2 was cancelled because it wasn't woke enough to be allowed to exist and compete against The Last Of Us Part II.
