• Breaking Bad The Sitco...
Just a little somethingsomething for anyone currently having Succession withdrawals. :P
I'm honestly surprised they had enough footage of Logan smiling for the intro.
They were tough finds!
My first thought was "wow they definitely used the entire 2.3 seconds of him smiling from the entire show"
Right?!?
Kendall: did any of you guys ever see him laugh like that?
Roman: only if a hobo was on fire.
I lost it at this comment 😂🤣 accurate!!!
Who knew laugh tracks could actually *increase* the level of tragedy and horror in a scene
Recordings of people who have been dead for decades now; what's not comedic about that?
I thought the same thing
The anxiety is very real
The Big Bang Theory proved exactly that over, what was it, a hundred seasons of dreck?
Most American tv....fictional n factual...is a contrived, tragic, horror show.
The "Aww" for Gerri's loyalty killed me
this made this scene darker somehow...chef's kiss
right??? it's beautiful
This is what my internal monologue sounds like watching Succession.
You got a laugh track in ur head??
@@CarsMeetsBikes you don't???
I'm sorry
@@Dan-vr7zs you should be Dan
Yea. Indeed. Same here.
I love how Kendall saying “We’re all loyal servants” was enough of a joke on it’s own.
tbf that entire season Kendall was very subservient to Logan
untill, yknow
@@samueldinardi4580 well yeah, had he much of other choices 😅 IF he wanted to still stay in the company as he did.
"Haven't we killed enough women already?"
Man,I feel so bad laughing at that
Underrated joke in this scene is when Greg fumbles around trying to defend himself with “I object.. I really object” and Roman just drops in “who cares” Might be the funniest line of this scene
Yeah the fact that it was off camera makes it a hundred times funnier too
Who's gonna be laughing when Greg is CEO 😂
Roman’s one-liners are the best. His, “fuck your mother!” Earlier this season was awesome.
@@bokchoy9294as if
Absolutely one of the most underrated lines in the whole show
"and brian cox" he totally would have an "and" in front of his name
What does that mean?
@@jamesrosewell9081 usually when an actor's name is kept for last and has an "and" in front of it, it means he or she is the biggest star on the show / movie.
@@EmanDeMoan I've always wondered the exact etiquette for the credits order, because I've seen actors who are the most senior appear both as the very first and very last name. I've tried to look it up online but I've never been able to get a clear answer.
@@EmanDeMoan But sometimes, an actor got an "and" credit if their character is a scene stealer or important to the show instead of the actor's popularity. For example, i recently watch The Crown season 5. From all of the ensemble, Elizabeth Debicki got the "and" credit. Debicki is definetely not the biggest star in the season if you compare her filmography and popularity to actors like Imelda Staunton, Jonathan Pryce or Lesley Manville who are legends at this point but considering that Debicki plays Princess Diana, i guess it make sense why she got the "and" credit since we all know how iconic Diana is in the royal family which will be a lot of people's main focus on the season
I love how they’re playing chess and Conner’s playing tic tac toe
And how Logan doesn't even respect him enough to consider throwing him under the bus hahahaha
@@BL-mf3jp i mean wtf would conners case be, he doesn't even work there
Frank throwing Karl under the bus is one of the funniest moments of the entire show.
Uh huh. Thank you, Batman, for that.
"You're widely known as a horrible person" omg that's so greg and so funny to me
It’s actually much more of a comedy than you’d initially think, especially Nicholas Braun, Kieran Culkin, and Matthew McFadden.
I recently started watching it, and i went in thinking it was a comedy/drama, and i stick to this, though apparently not as many people agree with me as i thought lmao
I’ve seen it listed as satire
It is actually hilarious
it's black comedy, much like Barry or Birdman.
@@RuthwikRao oh yeah true and it's very politically satirical too of course
You can't make a sitcom without including the part where Tom ate Logan's chicken.
2:30 no but that was the exact sound I made when Shiv said that
They definitely found the Logan smiling and laughing footage from the blooper reel!
Yeah it really stood out
This makes this scene so much easier to watch, it’s like the polar opposite of Big Bang theory without laugh tracks
Somehow, this feels like an existential horror Charlie Kaufman movie.
FR EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING LMAO
They've already done Succession as a sitcom, and it's called "Arrested Development". Seriously, that is how I describe Succession: as Arrested Development, but the family of shallow, greedy, vapid monsters isn't played for laughs, and instead they just show how horrible people like that actually are. It's the same basic premise, including the father/son power struggles and sibling rivalry for control of the family company, but one is playing it for comedy, and the other is playing it up as drama.
Succession is really about abuse and generational trauma
@@smcumber arrested development is lowkey about that too... just see gob's relationship with his dad.
@@smcumber AD has that in every episode spanning over 2 generations 😅
Wow, I never saw the connection until reading your comment.
Even the direction and the focusing on characters just clearly show the inspiration
I had to pause this from laughing so hard after “sausage thief” was muttered
Scrolled to find a mention of it in the comments, funny bit of continuity lmao
The way the “bottle of burgundy at breakfast” line plays so different with a laugh track 😵💫😵💫😵💫
This is honestly one of the funniest things i've seen. Succession could have easily been a dark sit com.
It is a dark sitcom
@@siddharthabiswas2147 sitcoms have a laugh track in the back. Succession is a dark comedy
@@emmaconnolly4681 a sitcom is just a "situational comedy", laugh tracks aren't essential to sitcoms
@@__D10S__ I think the most important signifier of a sitcom is the fact that most episodes have contained plots and it’s an exception to the formula to have plot lines spanning multiple episodes. Succession is def not a sitcom
It's a satirical drama
Succession is actually funnier than a lot of sitcoms 😂😂
In the behind the scenes of this episode, they called this a "hot air balloon conversation," where everyone's in a hot air balloon that's too heavy to keep flying, so they debate who should be thrown overboard
Now do the incredibly loud and awkwardly long applause/scream combo when a guest star shows up but for Cherry Jones and Holly Hunter
Adrien Brody as well
The gasp when shiv betrays tom got me good lmao
it was arrested......development
connor isn't even important enough to throw under the bus
He probably had to watch the show seven times to find those clips of Logan actually smiling in the intro
In game of thrones we wait for wars, in succession we wait for a meetings...
more like we wait for weddings lol
And... Shiv's nonchalantly throwing Tom (her husband) under the bus is probably the real beginning of Tom's shivving Shiv.
I want 20 more of these. So good.
The start was genius, but then it got too dark!
It’s actually amazing the vibrations of music will change the entire theme.
Bold of you to assume that Succession isn't already a sitcom
The laugh track already plays in my head when I watch succession so this isn’t really that much of a difference
Those laugh really destroy a show 😂
Poor Khan, they don’t even take him serious enough to to use him as a human sacrifice.
Connor?
@@StormyKid27 Yah
It’s pretty cool how editing can totally change something. It’s pretty amazing actually.
Haha! What a delightful, upbeat show about a fun-loving family!
Right??? 🥰🥰🥰
Amazing. Glorious.
The scene was already really really funny without the jarring laugh track, but it just heightens the uncomfortable tension in the quips every character is making to try to stay out of the running.
New season of arrested development is interesting
I've never seen an episode of Succession but love consuming Succession youtube content 😂
Holy shit I don’t remember Tom calling Karl “sausage thief” 😂
The intro worked but I started tuning out the laughs completely and listening just to the original show. It’s just so good
This scene makes the finale that much more satisfying
With the audience reactions, has a similar dark vibe to David Lynchs Rabbits
this is top tier cinematography
I actually think it's a little bit of a comedy show. It makes me laugh more than most sitcoms. There are some pretty good, clever jokes with great performances
Sattires are meant to funny
Finding a part for the intro where Kieren is not smiling like the the creepiest creep of Creeptown Creepington Creepyzona is not a simple task! Hats off to you
Watching this makes me think of the ending credits of a sitcom, and so makes me think about the end of Succession, i don't want this show to end :(
😭😭😭
Karl and Frank crack me up every time😂😂😂
no because i don’t remember the episode being THIS funny omg
Roman carried the comedy here 💀
The intro is amazingly great man. You are definitely good at humor and editing. :D
I’m new to the succession fan base, I’m so happy to be here.
the intro alone made me laugh out loud
Succession: The All-American Feel-Good Family Comedy on TV! :)
0:41 “and a piece of toast”
This is amazing, thank you for your service
“I’m more than a sprinkle!” might be the best of the bunch 🤣
This is amazing. Fantastic job. The whole tone is changed just by a laugh track.
The intro captured every time Logan smiled
succession is really unique genre. it can be sitcom and serious genre drama at the same time
I knew Succession was funny but not this damn funny. BRILLIANT
Just when you thought that Succesion couldn't get any better🤣
Love how this theme song was used for the breaking bad sitcom one also 😅😂
im loving this series! excited for sesdon 3 this year lol
This edit is gold.
Now that the show is over, they should rerelease the whole thing in this format. That intro is genuinely a great sitcom theme sequence
Connor lollll “What if I throw myself over the side”
You're a genius
i need to watch the whole episode edited like this 😭
Ok the edit at 0:07 is so satisfying
I've never watched succession but I want to and this is really funny
This fits so well omg i want to watch all season in one night please 😂😂
the fact that the intro alone makes Logan seem like the exact opposite of how he really is is golden
Please make more of these!
AHAHAHAHAHA NOT THISSS EPISODEEE 😭😭😭 i love this sm
This is the first time i've ever actually Heard tom's 'sausage thief' line and it has me absolutely rolling with laughter
We need a follow up with Tom eating Logan’s chicken haha
This is how Succession fans see the show
this is great omg
Succession as sitcom is my favourite show lol
I already thought this scene was like a fucked up version of Ron asking who broke the coffee pot, and this just adds to that
So well edited!❤
So basically Arrested Development
That nicholas braun's clips in the opening song were soo good😂😂lol
I have watched succession 4 times
rookie numbers
This is amazing. Good on you for doing this champ!!
this is soooo good
Amazing. This video deserves an award 👏
LMoa, do more, this is golden!
INCREDIBLE I LOVE IT
this is so funny after the finale
amazing the effect the music has
This is the clip with the least swearing in the whole of Succession
Love this..especially the intro😂
Well put together.
@@chopstickx Thank you ☺️
