I feel like while it may be true that Logan loves his children, his favorite child most likely switches between the four depending on how they can better serve his current plans or needs.
True but I kinda agree with Brian because Shiv is the one Logan abuses the least (the bar is in hell with his parenting) he emotionally manipulates her but seems to have a genuine affection to her that he does not have with his sons. I think it's Roman that says early on how Shiv is like daddy's favorite and Logan even calls her pinkie which is as tender as Logan can get, he said he regrets spoiling her and you can tell that's why she turned out entitled, expecting to be the chosen one because she's good and "the favorite child". Logan has no problems verbally and physically abusing Kendall and Roman but not Shiv, in fact when he gets mad at Shiv he hits Roman instead because while he is awful he is not awful enough to hit a woman especially not his youngest daughter, so he takes it out on Roman. The worst he ever insulted Shiv was calling her a coward and mocking her in the season finale which compared to what Roman and Kendall have to endure from him that's nothing. Meanwhile, Kenny was a traumatized CPTSD cyborg who was Logan’s lapdog, which is what he wanted. Kenny then moved up in Logan’s eyes. [Even despite his horrid rap and the idiot actress he dated.]
I have a theory that Logan's sister who passed away young, Rose, was a redhead like Shiv. So he probably loves her a little bit extra because she reminds him of the sister that 'he couldnt save'. The only nice thing the audience ever sees Logan's brother say to him is that his sister's death wasn't his fault, so we can clearly infer he felt guilt for her passing for a long time. Likely wants to protect Shiv unlike his boys because of that.
