    Great video! I just performed this repair. Identifying the type of hose bibb saved me an additional trips to the big box store on a Sunday. I chose a screw-on 1/2", 1/4 turn replacement valve for my 36 year old sillcock. I did the repair exactly like you did, and finished the repair with mortar in a tube. Thanks!

    I have a question I have a 1/2 female hose bib that part of the pipe tread rusted off I am on a budget and I would like to know if there is anyway I could put another one on the pipe it’s still has some thread left Is there anyway I could pull an adapter to add a piece of pipe made out of plastic and pull that part on top of it

    What do I need to attach a copper tube to the bib connection sticking out of the house (outside wall)? I don't even know if that made any sense at all. Basically, where my spigot is now, I need to move it about 10 feet away but I don't have a basement or can get to the piping inside the house. I have to attach something to the pipe sticking out of the stucco wall and extend it out to the side. I need to attach a copper pipe to it, bring it down to the ground, 90 degrees turn to the side about 10 feet away, then up a few feet then attach the spigot.

Thanks for this, hose bib, hose bib not spigot...I'll probably break something important anyway. :) OH.....how do I figure out what size it is??

    Mine is painted so I can’t determine if it’s the first one (female) or the last one soldered on. I can’t get it to unscrew but is that the paint, rust or solder? It’s never easy. 1978 house. Likely original bib.

    I once hired a TH-cam plumber. Horrible, the least to say.

  • @swc19972000
    @swc19972000 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's not this simple and I'm really glad that I didn't attempt to replace my hose bibs myself based on TH-cam tutorials. It involves cutting drywall if you're on a slab foundation. And remember that the water to the house has to be shut off the entire time.
    Just pay the money to get someone who knows what they're doing, so you don't end up with more problems or an emergency, like causing over $1,000 in water damage.
