How did you know it was threaded on? If it was soldered on then, you would have bent and cracked the copper and you would have to replace the backside. I made that mistake cause it was soldered on, and had to open up the drywall on the inside of the house and replumb it. Wasn't too bad to replumb but would have had to be replumbed regardless for the new spigot to be added on.

I don't know what to do but I have almost the exact one that you have in the video, but there's a hole on the side of the spigot and when the water turns on it shoots out to the side instead of it coming out of the front, I can't post pictures cuz for some reason TH-cam doesn't allow that so I can't really show it but I don't know what to do and the other owner painted the spigot into the wall of the house, is there anyone that can help me out?

@@ThatFixItGuy It IS most definitely a boiler drain dude you were good to explain about the vacuum breaker though kudos for that . It makes it legal .A hose bibb is usually 8" long so that the shutoff is well within an insulated space, and when turned off will be able to drain out the remaining water so it can't freeze expand and break the copper tube on the hosebibb and it's the right thing but if you're replacing like for like than sure but an improvement using a real HB would've been better I guess .
