Maybe you can help clear up something for me. In some videos the brown interior has a black headliner while others have light headliner. What color headliner is coming with the brown interior. Thabakn
Spoke with my local Toyota dealer about the new Grand Highlander Hybrid :) ...was told they would consider selling for MSRP plus a $10k market adjustment add-on. Toyota knows how to burst customer enthusiasm. :(
@@daddynguyen921 I contacted the Toyota dealership in PA where we previously bought an Avalon Hybrid. They were happy to offer us a Grand Highlander Hybrid XLE at the MSRP with no "market adjustment." We've decided to go forward with that dealership even though they are about 1000 miles away from our current FL home. When the Grand Highlander is available, we plan to fly there to pick it up and will take advantage of the return trip to visit with family and friends along the way.
I don't understand why they don't add the lift shocks to the hood. My wifes 2015 Highlander doesn't have them either but my 2012 camry does. Still want one, I just don't understand why they leave these off!
I absolutely can't stand the huge beaks and noses on Toyota trucks and suvs. Not just toyota either.. others have huge front ends too. I know it's not for offroad use, and really the approach/departure angles don't matter on this as much, but those overhangings are still just a huge "nope" from me. Imo, they are very important on trucks though or really any vehicle someone might want to adventure in some. Amazing MPG though for that big beast.
Awesome review! Which vehicle would you suggest for passenger space in all 3 rows, passenger comfort, and driving dynamics between - Grand Highlander, Atlas, Traverse, Enclave, Pilot, Durango, Pallisade? Thanks.
@@godsharry I don’t know where people get that from. They’re plenty big from what I’ve seen. In my mind if you need any more space that what it offers then you should be buying a Tahoe.
At this rate, the next model is gonna be a school bus and there will still be people (Americans) complaining that it’s still not big enough to bring their 2 kids to soccer practice and go to target. 🤦🏾♂️
A few ways to look at it... repo's and delinquent car loans are the highest they've been in over a decade, and of course wage gaps/people clamoring to be consumer whores to keep up appearances or "keep up with the Jones'." What's even worse is the technology and part costs keep getting enormous. My job has me evaluating vehicle inventory at a wholesale dealership, and part of that is arbitrating for things that aren't mentioned in the auction condition report. It's appalling how much parts can be, or even worse how unserviceable something can be. One of our most recent headaches was a front turn signal in a 2019 Jeep Cherokee not working. As it turns out, it's not serviceable, as it's an integrated LED. That means a ~$750 (at our wholesale cost, not even what a normal person would have to pay) headlight. Another is a '21 Ram 2500 driver sun visor that didn't have working vanity mirror lamps (wiring within the visor got messed up: ~$378 our cost). Toyota is thankfully not on of the worst for that. A Rav4 from roughly the 2019 Rav4 tail light is LED, but there's one big LED that pulls out like a bulb from a light-piping system, which keeps replacement cheap. That doesn't mean everything is though-- every single car is a crap shoot and a learning curve. I very much miss the early and mid-2000's era before everything became CUV's, touch screens, and overly nannied.
It'll sell tremendously well. Class leading passenger and cargo space, competitive tech, and class leading mileage combined with Toyota reliability. They aren't pretty but Toyota will be able to sell all they can make.
The front end is absolutely hideous! Even 96% of blind people agree! Moving on, now. Are manufacturers skipping over aerodynamics because engines have become more efficient and powerful?
03:27 "And with both of them down, it's uh...'oh shoot I totally forgot the number'...gives the Sequoia a run for its money."
Hopefully next year it'll be even bigger and heavier!
This will force KIA to increase the Telluride size and add a hybrid choice.
Game of leapfrog…
Toyota doing a great job with cars lately.
Hopefully the new 4Runner is a true competitor for the off-road segment.
Keep up the good work Toyota!
Looks like the "Honey, I blew up the RAV4!" version of a Toyota SUV. Speaking of which, when are they coming out with the new 4Runner, if ever?
2025
It will be a 2024 model year.
Is there a trailer light hook up with the hitch?

Good review and like the vehicle, but do not like the camera distortion at times in this video.

Less things to be break
safer and one less thing to replace
I never feel safe working under those lift shocks thing

Yes
Does Dan Edmunds own Car and Driver?

I’m a Brit. But isn’t this cheap in this inflationary world. Thought US was paying crazy for Jeeps , but this isn’t much money ???
I like your review, thanks!

CX-90 is better than all of those, as proven in the recent C&D comparo. :)
Oh! Interesting. However, it lacks passenger space is what I understand. Would love to see the new video.
Thanks for A2A

Seems to be a bit too expensive for the market.

Who can afford $70k+ in this depressionary Obidwn economy? Good luck if you can afford/buy a depreciating asset.
