    Growing up as a young lad I followed Mike Mentzer's training model reasonably closely. It worked great. Good vid. Thanks.

    Hey Dan, awesome video as always. I think most of us would like to see a full first round in real time, and then hand it over to the video guy to do the final rounds with visuals and music. Would love to see you work in real time for at least a round. Also, would love to see some videos on handling and recovering from injuries, particularly tendon strains. Thx.

      Hello, we will be doing full workouts as well. Just some planning to do!

    That was fun.
    I used a heavy band under my feet and over pvc pipe for concentration/bar curl type thing. Surprisingly nice resistance.
    No pull-up bar so used wooden rings on my 4' clothes line t post doing L sit pull ups.
    Always fun working with what I've got!

    As a crossfitter you could create an entirely novel approach on Mentzer foundations. It would not resemble his protocols, designed for bbuilding, and could still entail a LOT of training, given the different goal. But the point would be most efficient use of recovery ability directed at multiple domains. Interesting.

    Does anyone else keep getting the foods to avoid commercial? I’ve heard it so many times I just want to punch him in the face. Not really but it’s annoying.

  • @johyn
    @johyn 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    dan, you do not know what you are doing with High Intensity. you should be not be including any momentum in any movement. if you can not get it up with your strength then you are doing to much weight. you are not reading mentzer's books very well. or you do not understand the philosophy behind High Intensity training at all. that is to bad. and unfortunate for your development.. you should not plagerize HIT since you are using in incorrectly.

    • @Snskch3
      @Snskch3 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Johyn pretty sure he stated he wasn’t following the book fully. He took the ideas from the book and incorporated it into the way he wants to workout. That isn’t plagiarizing. I appreciate him sharing his ideas.

    • @OriginalDanBailey
      @OriginalDanBailey  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yea I disagree. As stated I took something I learned from him and incorporated it into how I wanted to train today. And you know what, I didn't get hurt, had a blast, and got fitter.
