I love Find My Sewing! It’s a good reminder about looking at the line drawings and not getting too distracted by the photos. Thanks, Kate, for all the inspiration!
Yes it's hard to not get disrtacted by the photos!!
I'm always amazed at your accuracy of finding these patterns! Good job!
I love your "Find My Sewing Pattern" videos. They really help to spark creativity. I found 3 possible options for the denim dress; Butterick 5627 is a basic fitting shell and dress, McCall's 7169 has interesting darts/seaming, and Vogue 8764 has a front seam with topstitching. All have sleeves and would be great starting points to recreate this look.
Hi Kate, I love these videos when you pair inspirations with patterns. Love the Myosotis you’re wearing and the fabric. Thank you so much for sharing. Val 🇨🇦🇬🇧❤️
Thanks Val - so pleased you like it my first make in a long time
Re: cropped jacket - Jalie 2795 would work. Re: Wrap Dress - There are tons of wrap dress patterns from indie patterns. They range from sizes suitable for "normal" sizes to "curvy" sizes. I'm trying to make time to make the Tamarak Jacket now. I've purchased all the material and light weight quilt bunting. Looking forward to a usable barn jacket in the near future. Thank you so much for this video. I always love them. My Saturday mornings involve a cup of hot coffee, the couch, and a TH-cam video staring Kate. Wonderful.
thanks Kate! this is one of my favorite segments! you do hit "spot on". nice work!
What a good idea !! I love what you find✅😇🙏🏼
Wonderful patterns Kate . Also, I just wanted to say that my husband bought me 3 I Am patterns from you for my birthday and he said you were so very helpful and would definitely have no hesitation to buying patterns from you again ( he normally gets really anxious about buying my sewing things) Thankyou so much Kate, I love my patterns 😊😘👍🏻👏🏼XXX
Hi Lynne, oh I'm so pleased he was happy and found buying from us enjoyable! There is a function on the site where you can share you wishlists - on your wishlist page, in the 'actions' bit at the bottom you just need to set it to share and you can them email him the URL. So long as you keep adding patterns he can this pick the ones we wants to get you!
Your dress looks amazing in that lovely slatey blue fabric!
For the striped joggers I would use any pyjama bottoms pattern - relaxed fit, no cuffs and lots of cheap/free patterns out there!
GREAT idea!!!
I love these videos. Talk about going down a rabbit hole! I think the Named Clothing Lempi dress could hack into this denim dress. I'm not sure if there's a waist seam but either way, the fullness could be transferred into those cool darts and a tuck in front for the attached belt. Zip down the front and a neckband replaces the collar, of course.
Thanks Kate another fab video and thankyou for the mention at the end, just keeping fingers crossed x
You guys do such a great job! I find your website invaluable ❤️
When someone comes up with a pattern for that last dress, please let us know! Love it! 😍
Great patterns as always
The newly released McCalls M8019 jacket is a good match for that hooded jacket
That mystery denim shift dress at the end is very interesting ... but I'm afraid I can't think of a match!
Great ideas Kate thanks so much love all your vlogs. Can’t help on the dress though
For the v-neck dress... Deer and doe - Magnolia!
Thanks again for doing this video, just love these. I hope that someone can come up with a pattern for the denims dress, I just love it,
I know we're all in love with 'that' dress!
For the last one, starting with something like the Papercut patterns Sigma Dress might work...you'd have to change up the zipper being in the front vs back (that seems straightforward?) and attach the belt to the waist darts. A dress shape like might be a good starting point at least!
V9357 might be starting point for the denim dress - similar seam lines? V9127 has a similar seam/belt thing going on, although otherwise is nothing like the inspiration dress! Hope that helps a bit!
If possible, could you do a video for the best button down shirt patterns. Especially for people with large busts?
Hi Kate. Love this series. For the velvet jumpsuit can I suggest New Look 6468 or McCalls 7908. As a starting point for the denim dress, I saw Butterick 6026 and Vogue 1499.
I wonder if the Named Patterns Beryl Bomber Dress might be a good starting place for that dress you asked us about. The neck is obviously different, but there are some similarities too.
The mandy* boat tee from Tessuti patterns would probably work for that last top too. It's also free!
It is the Mandy boat tee- I have made three of them - great pattern.
@@springchikn3203 opps typo!
Kate something that might work for the relaxed joggers I have used the Butterick 5286 pattern the pants are quite comfy and definitely have those much needed pockets, also I was looking at the Tilly and the Buttons joggers maybe made a little bit looser?
And the cosy lounge set from threadcount patterns is good for the jogging type bottoms with a jumper top x
For the lounge wear set Simplicity just came out with new patterns, S9020 would work great.
Kate, for the v neck culottes jumpsuit how about Mccalls M7167? It's a beautiful pattern x
Do you think a hack of the paper cut yo yo dress might work for the fitted denim zip up dress I love this pattern and plan to make it in a liberty denim with a bit of stretch that I have in my stash ✂️
Love these videos, but honestly I'm just hanging around in case anyone comes up with a suggestion for that last dress - it's amazing
I hear you!!
Possibly the Named Solina dress from Breaking The Pattern book.
I was thinking the hemlock by grainline for the comfy set near the end....it’s a free pattern
Hello Kate, my name is May Bruinenberg . I live in the Netherlands. I'm really a big fan of your videos . Maybe I can help you with the pattern for the dress. In the Netherlands we have a sewing magazine called " Knipmode' , I don't know if you are familiar with this magazine. I found a dress that looks like the one you showed in your video:
knipmode.nl/shop/patronen/stoere-denim-jurk/ .
Wow! That is a really close match to the denim dress 😊👍
Great detective work - is it in English as well?
Great video as always! For the lounge set pants, the 'Urban Flair' Pants from Pattern Emporium have a tapered leg version which would work really well. I made a cosy jersey version for lounging around the house myself and love them! patternemporium.com/products/urban-flair-pant-collection-ladies-pdf-sewing-pattern
