👑 of Soul wrote the Bible on Vocals…She had a Golden EFFORTLESSLY POWERFUL EMOTIVE CHARISMATIC Sound ….I ❤ her Power Agility RANGE & MUSICALITY…. HER APPROACH CENTERED AROUND TENSION & RELEASE & she used her CHOPS to display her musical sensibilities … the way she uses her Vibrato - like a jazz vocalist - SHE HAS SEVERE JAZZ ROOTS & was. Contemporaries of Coltrane & Miles Davis ….she made most singers have to sing 🎤 multi octaves …. However her sweet HI sound can be offset with her bluesy dark sound on songs like Do Right Woman ….Was Aretha a Soprano Mezzo or Contralto?
