I loved it in Milton Keynes! I remember a snack bar in front of the shopping centre 1989 called "Kochlöfel". They have spelled it wrong but the "Bratwurst" was quite nice 😊
The country looks so much more peaceful. For starters, we had legal migration and how it should always be back in them days and not all the illegal migration lot that has got out of control in recent times. All for legal migration because they come here the correct way, but totally against illegal migration who invade other countries because that’s a criminal offence. All countries should make people come into countries legally and no other way. Plus we are only a small country and if we don’t solve the human trafficking problem now, we will end up in further trouble because there is only so much land you can build on and eventually green spaces will not exist, and we will not only kill off nature and wildlife but we will lack oxygen. Let’s not turn Milton Keynes into another London because many moved here due to the green space and we must protect the parks at all costs.
@@AndyKirtland11 well said. i moved here on purpose to get away from london and have some greenery and sense of space. looks like it all followed me. :-/
@@AndyKirtland11 That's the truth unfortunately this government reward people for breaking the law in what I suspect is an obsessive bid to boost the population for economic and voter base reasons with no regard for the native population. You don't realise how nice most of MK was until you compare then and now, though its not only migrants, it definitely feels a lot more full of chavs than it used to which is really sad, even in the pretty little towns and villages all around.
Fantastic music to accompany the video. I was born in 91 and from Leighton buzzard so very interesting - the footage gives me strong Epcot vibes. I suppose like Epcot it is never complete but I miss this less intense version. More verdant, less traffic, cleaner, the previous John Lewis!
I wouldn't say M K is awful at all. Everywhere in the world has changed with technology and the population, etc. The world itself is awful compared to what it was, you can't single M.K out IMO.
Such a walk down memory lane - thank you; so glad videos like these have been preserved.
No probs ! 🙂

Apart from fashion, old cars and the point looks exactly the same as today.
It is strange but yeah it's the same as today.
Now That’s “Milton Keynes” ❤
Trip down memory lane
It sure is, thanks for your comment 👍👍😎
@ I was trying to find a picture of the 1990s wind turbine in shenley lodge & Google search brought up your video on mk citizen
@@GreenStripShow wow lol strange
was so nice back then. oh how this country has fallen in such a few short years. 😞
Very true 😟

Great video, very nostalgic.

Feel emotional. Lols! Thanks for preserving this. ❤

Ah the good ol' days.
Nothing has changed its the weirdest place
Love this! I'm a reporter on the MK Citizen. Would you be okay if I used it story? I would give your channel a big plug and a hyperlink, of course.

Brilliant stuff! Didn't the market look vibrant! Having said that it was a nice sunny day.... remember them😅
Those were the days 😎😎
Infrastructure wise looks the same city even now
Massive cultural change. Slimmer people too before the greater consumption of anti-depressants and junk food invasion.
It was a lovely place then but not now its awful
@@Kennynwten the times are changing :(

It's not awful really, just not so nice and clean and fresh as it was. And the planners have lost sight of the original vision.
