I remember the round lift up to the John Lewis restaurant (4:38). For some reason that lift terrified me as a child! I really loved visiting MK shopping centre in the 80s though.
crazy how fast things have changed. another thing i noticed, the windscreen covered in splattered bugs, dont see that any more!! how time has flown. 😞 i cant wait for the new world...
Its definitely mid 1992 or at the earliest is 1991. I took the video, and was driving the yellow Austin Allegro that features briefly at about 8 minutes. I only had the car a short while so I can date it from that. :-) I wonder if people suffering from the new financial recession of the early 1990's meant they didn't renew cars so quickly at that time?
This film is a gem from the times when TH-cam was not yet dreamed of by anyone, Regards.
You can see a catering wagon on the market we used to own and run 😊
Same year I moved to MK, brings back a lot of good memories, especially The Point and shopping at BHS.

Absolutely had forgotten that's what it was called back then!
A Montego ha ha!! Love it!

Blimey! How the market has changed!!!! Now it’s a filthy hole!!
That dodgy overtake on the way back north!!! Bad drivers still about today though!
no pot holes in sight!
This could be older than 1992 judging by the cars. Possibly late 80s ?
