They are basically making cake pops (without the sticks and icing) since they are sweet. Cake pops from cake pop makers are normally sweet with cake, brownie, or pancake batter. The fruit ones sound so good. I wanna try actual takoyaki too!

A cosmic crisp apple is a genetically created apple to be crisp, juicy, tart and sweet. Honey crisp is also a similar taste. There is an old red apple that is very mealy in texture.

@@KitchenWitchery Yes. Red Delicious. The problem with those apples is if they aren’t picked at the perfect time, they get mealy. The texture is horrible. Thank you for the name. That was bugging me.

all persimons can be eaten raw, it's just that there is one that you can eat when it's still hard, and then there are the rest ones that you need to wait for them to get really ripe (they are more juicy and soft)

I purchased my takoyaki maker about a year ago and I actually love it. I put all my ingredients out in separate bowls. Such as nori paper, chopped up sardines, salmon, cream cheese ,egular cheese , pepperoni, cheese again ,onions, garlic, chives, pork, chicken, shrimp, capers. Then I just have a ball with it. Butt i don't use that pancake batter I used the takiyaki batter. I make it as the recipe goes.

Your dessert takoyaki is very similar to æbleskiver, Danish pancake balls topped with jam and powdered sugar. They used to be filled with apple or applesauce, but nowadays they aren't filled anymore.
BTW, is your takoyaki pan made of cast iron? Cast iron retains heat like crazy. It also doesn't need washing. Just wipe it down, scrub with a bit of kosher salt if something is really stuck on, and wipe on a very thin coat of oil after.

Well that’s my Christmas present sorted given I always struggle to figure out what I want!
I think the reference to discounted foreign travel came about due to many foreign travel firms totally getting wrong and posting about it when it was first announced by the Japanese government (I probably saw at least half a dozen posts on my Facebook feed) as if it applied to flights etc and included foreigners which was totally wrong but briefly created a lot of hype. Pretty soon after they realised it was fake news.

The only persimmons I've had I bought in New York, and they just tasted like sugar. Like... a bag of white sugar. I'm a sugar addict so I normally have to avoid buying anything too sweet to stop myself from eating it all, so I was a little confused. Bought them a few times over the years and they all tasted like that.
I usually call all fruit sour. Blueberries, raspberries? They never taste sweet to me!
