Welcome to this Kenya Airways B787-8 video!
I found a great fare in Business Class on Kenya Airways on my way to Africa and decided to give it a try.
The flight departs at my least favourite departure time so I had to cope with that, but I can assure you that it was well worth it!
The crew were stunning and treated me like royalty. They made the flight and I just wish this had been a daytime flight so I would have made more out of it.
Regardless of that, I have nothing but great words and am sincerely grateful for the wonderful care I received. This is what makes good service stand out.

I have flown twice from Dubai early in the morning on KQ (back in the day when they operated the B 767). It is very tiring to board a 0200 am flight and almost impossible to keep one's eyes open. Hats off to you for filming throughout this flight.. Many passengers on that flight are traders flying back to different parts of Africa, which explains the volume of shopping. Unfortunately some passengers forget the baggage allowance limits so end up leaving their shopping behind. This also happens at the pre-boarding gate where some passengers who have bought more than what can be stowed in the overhead baggage compartment, from Dubai duty free, have to leave part of their shopping behind. KQ has a good product and am sure all Kenyans watching this video will give you a thumbs up!
That's why duty free onboard is so popular because of all stuffs that were left behind either at check-in or prior boarding at the gate

That was a nice trip report, Alex. It revives my memory, especially at 16:34, when I was 16 years old and traveling to Delhi with my family on Air India. I got airsick and suddenly started vomiting. I was eagerly looking forward to tasting the meal provided by Air India, but it was all in vain. Then I discovered that my mother had packed some food, including the cutlery, thinking it was free for all passengers😂. (She only did that because I was an avgeek who was really excited to experience Air India.) After enduring all that jet lag, I found something in my mom's sling bag, and she revealed that it was for me😊. It's been a long time since then, but in order to preserve the beautiful moments I had with Air India, I have kept the boarding pass and cutlery in my showcase.

Another great review mate! always love to see African airlines getting the limelight, Kenya airways I can see being a very good product, hopefully soon enough they will update their cabins seat colour an ambiance. as the business class is quite dated now I’m sure they will introduce something more fresh soon. The food and service looked incredible but no surprise from the warm African service. Yes at least you wont be disappointed by the coffee. Drinking a cappuccino 39.000ft up always tastes that little bit more indulgent. Great stuff yet again 👍👏😊! PS nice shot of the Queen on take off from Dubai.
I don’t fly African airlines enough, and while the hard product isn’t the best the hospitality is always a nice factor there.
I hope Kenya Airways updates the interiors of the B787’s but I think they’re prioritizing becoming profitable first.

I only disagree with one thing:
After meal you go from baileys to bubbles (again) and then to Tusker... That's a big No No 😂😂😂.
You should start from the lighter and end with the stronger. So beer before the meal yeah or/and after baileys trying a liquor 😅😊...other than that a perfect video very well balanced...hopefully KQ is back on track for profits now...

I fully agree with you. It was a party in the stomach. But in this case I remember that it was the crew who asked me to try this and that so I couldn’t refuse in order to be polite. They were trying really hard. Great people.

Interesting facts about Kenya's airport and its economy around Horticulture. I wonder why just only around this field and nothing else?
There are many more fields. But flowers is something interesting. The flower industry is massive, many cargo flights each day between Nairobi and Amsterdam with nothing but roses on board! I’ve seen it!

I have flown with Ethiopian Airlines from Dubai to Addis Ababa the airplanes usually takes off towards the and turns left heading south. Flights to what euro colonizers renamed Africa does not always take off towards the desert.
It all depends on what directions the planes are taking off.
Usually it’s towards the sea which offers incredible views over Dubai. But this time the winds were blowing from the south so we took off towards the desert, no views 😞

It’s funny how Dubai airport and the imagine Emirates airlines has created is totally different when you as a passenger uses the terminal which every other carrier use exclusively.
The experience is totally not the same when compared to the big shinning one all Emirates flights and passengers fly out of. It’s old, dark and sterile

Hey any idea if Emirates is going to be retiring their entire A380 fleet by any chance in 2030? I would hate it to death if it actually happens.
Not all of them by 2030, just the older models I guess. The newest ones can continue to fly longer.
The problem is that Airbus no longer builds the A380’s.. And they require new planes to replace older.
But I’m sure they’ll do something great on the B777x!
Really??? I was under the impression that they are going to retire all of them from what it seems like in the news was saying.
It is not the same with the 777X as oppose to the A380.
