Thank you for this beautiful video. I’ve never flown premium economy on Emirates, but I do fly their business class. 13 hours on the A380 between New York City and Dubai followed by 4 to 6 hours when I go to Seychelles, Maldives or Thailand. The food in your video looks fantastic. However: the seat itself looks a bit tight. I definitely prefer the business class Mercedes Maybach style seat.

Agreed. Flew with them in October for the first time. Manchester - DXB - Kuala Lumpur. Unfortunately no premium economy available on that flight but the next planned is a flight to Perth, Australia when I hope they have expanded this product.
I fly them all the time and even I am totally blown away. How they come up with new things all the time. I flew the same month on QR with my entire family and 0 celebrations or anything except for some movies. Big difference. Have a happy new year!
The Premium Cabin looks great. And the food looked delicious. I assume that as this flight was just over 3 hours, for the crew it was straightway back to DXB. Thanks for all your excellent videos during 2023. I wish you all the best for the New Year.
I’ll post a comparison video in January.. There isn’t any comparison really.. I fly QR more then I fly EK as it’s cheaper but this new A380 just does not have any competitors. You’ll see the Premium Economy that QR offers soon (yes, they have PY seats!)

Have a look at Air New Zealand PE. The leg rest has integral foot support; superior. Their seat pitch is 41”-42”, club seat. Their crew is also great. We did long haul YVR to AKL PE. Really a great experience with ANZ. Emirates also looks comfortable PE. Thanks for the review to be able to compare.

What a product looks so welcoming and luxurious, I feel whatever class you fly you know your in good hands well it does from my previous EK trips. I am your subscriber from the US. Since I fly EK regularly from here to DXB and to India (my home country), I like watching your videos to get new info on EK. Their PE product is good but prohibitively expensive especially from US-DXB and LHR-DXB route. I flew from LHR DXB route last year and it was an amazing experience. Haven’t tried the PE from US though. Hopefully sometime next year. In the meantime if u happen to try it from the US would love to see it on your channel and share the experience. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming.
It is quite expensive indeed and they only sell Flex Plus fares which are the most expensive of all. There are no discounted fares. But it’s always full.. You might get a last minute upgrade offer if there are vacant seats, those are the best options. Or you could just fly one of the legs in Premium Economy. ANyway, worth trying for sure! I will try to fly it to the US or to Japan. Thanks a lot for writing!!
What a lovely flight report! And just to correct you, this is one of the retrofitted A380’s, only the last nine of them were delivered with the new interiors, A6-EVK-A6-EVS. ( Your flight was on A6-EVD. ). You can also tell by the economy class product, The retrofitted ones still have that controller under the screen, whereas the ones that were delivered with the new interiors do not have the controllers unfortunately. Which is mainly why I prefer the retrofitted ones. Nonetheless, what a fantastic video, your channel is quickly becoming one of my all-time favorites!

The silence, the space. But main thing is with the business and first class, flying business/first class on an A380 means getting access to the onboard bar, showers, and a business class seat with aisle access.

I’ve never tried EK’s Prem Econ, but I’ve tried Starlux. it’s the exact same Recaro PL3530, exact same seat pitch & recline, but JX’s seats are just a little bit narrower (because of the smaller A350). I agree that these PL3530 seats are the most comfy Prem Econ I’ve tried so far, and undoubtedly one of the best in the world, but EK’s Prem Econ finishing definitely looks more premium!
Hi Alex. The PE on EK is incredibly good. Do the PE pax get the use the lounge upstairs? Or the footage was from your return flight? One other thing you mentioned a Vistara 787-9 from Chennai that you spotted on the tarmac at BLR. I don’t think vistara operates any flights between MAA-BLR. Was it a ferry flight or something? Plus Vistara wide bodies are based out of Bom and Del only. If you could clarify pls.
Premium Economy is the best! But no lounge access on ground or in the air. The footage was indeed from my return flight. The Vistara B787-9 was perhaps doing training flights or just stored. I’m quite sure it was there performing the route I mentioned!

Perhaps a training flight. Next time you come to MAA drop a message I would love to take you out of a nice South Indian meal with filter coffee!

As a side note, in your DXB-BOM Emirates Business class video, I had requested you to try this cabin class in the return sector. So ig the stars aligned and everyone turned out happy😊
I edited very quickly as soon as I could as I loved the flight. Sadly there were no good views. The terminal is incredible. Specially when I departed back I was blown away. Best in India! Happy new year 🎉
A6-EVD wasn’t actually delivered with Premium Economy. It received Premium Economy on July 2023. But other than that, Premium Economy on Emirates looks glamorous as always.
A great pity PE is not available on their 777's which is my only option from Portugal. Let's hope it will be available on their up-coming 777X, 787 and 350s.
@9:40 correction : this aircraft wasn't delivered w the premium economy and instead was retrofitted. i flew A6-EVD Business as EK4 from london in december 2020 and then featured the previous cabin (bonus : currently A6-EUK and planes from 2016 are being retrofitted, my ek engineer dad told me) pin this pls :)
Wow thanks for the correction! My source of information was wrong. I really wonder why the ED* and EE* were not the first to be retrofitted as it’s those that actually needed a make over, but ok, I’m still enjoying it regardless!
@@TheLayoverAviation my dad told me they’re retrofitting the 2016 + airplanes bc emirates officially BOUGHT them from airbus allowing them to customise it, rest a6-eee etc would mean they would have to change the economy as well and they’re v old as well, they will retire the delta and some eco series later
I believe that in the south of India, more rice is eaten. In the north, more breads. As a German, I will prefer roti, paratha over rice any day. Yummi 😋

5:56, the same welcome drink was offered in economy a few years ago, in a sealed cup but regardless. They've cheaped out on service, truly.

It’s very comfortable, but if you go to sleep or on a long flight. On a short one there wasn’t much need..

I’ve never tried EK’s Prem Econ, but I’ve tried Starlux. it’s the exact same Recaro PL3530, exact same seat pitch & recline, but JX’s seats are just a little bit narrower (because of the smaller A350). I agree that these PL3530 seats are the most comfy Prem Econ I’ve tried so far, and undoubtedly one of the best in the world, but EK’s Prem Econ finishing definitely looks more premium!
I flew on this aircraft on 19th nov 2023 from Bangalore to Dubai. Its an amazing aircraft. ❤

Hi Alex. The PE on EK is incredibly good. Do the PE pax get the use the lounge upstairs? Or the footage was from your return flight? One other thing you mentioned a Vistara 787-9 from Chennai that you spotted on the tarmac at BLR. I don’t think vistara operates any flights between MAA-BLR. Was it a ferry flight or something? Plus Vistara wide bodies are based out of Bom and Del only. If you could clarify pls.
Premium Economy is the best! But no lounge access on ground or in the air.
The footage was indeed from my return flight.
The Vistara B787-9 was perhaps doing training flights or just stored. I’m quite sure it was there performing the route I mentioned!

Perhaps a training flight. Next time you come to MAA drop a message I would love to take you out of a nice South Indian meal with filter coffee!

Not exclusively, the B777 also operates there although I think it is seasonally.

A6-EVD wasn’t actually delivered with Premium Economy. It received Premium Economy on July 2023. But other than that, Premium Economy on Emirates looks glamorous as always.

A great pity PE is not available on their 777's which is my only option from Portugal. Let's hope it will be available on their up-coming 777X, 787 and 350s.
It will also be installed on the B777 but after the A380’s, I guess. But it will be for sure on the new planes!
@9:40 correction : this aircraft wasn't delivered w the premium economy and instead was retrofitted. i flew A6-EVD Business as EK4 from london in december 2020 and then featured the previous cabin (bonus : currently A6-EUK and planes from 2016 are being retrofitted, my ek engineer dad told me) pin this pls :)

I really wonder why the ED* and EE* were not the first to be retrofitted as it’s those that actually needed a make over, but ok, I’m still enjoying it regardless!
@@TheLayoverAviation my dad told me they’re retrofitting the 2016 + airplanes bc emirates officially BOUGHT them from airbus allowing them to customise it, rest a6-eee etc would mean they would have to change the economy as well and they’re v old as well, they will retire the delta and some eco series later
I believe that in the south of India, more rice is eaten. In the north, more breads. As a German, I will prefer roti, paratha over rice any day. Yummi 😋

Hi. Happy New Year! I had a question regarding Emirates’ cabin luggage policy for economy. I checked the website and it says economy passenger can only take one carry on bag so does that mean I can take my backpack as well? I would only be able to take my roller bag and not my backpack as well?
