After watching the documentary on Netflix and doing some digging on his family I get a strong feeling that he grew up as the golden child who couldn’t do wrong and that’s why he thought he could just get away with it. The way his family was bending over backwards to explain away his lies was actually stunning to see.
I figured that from the phone calls and how he spoke to police, the way he'd just casually say 'can't tell you' or 'I can't explain that to you' he's never had to answer for anything in his life he's used to his parents filling in the gaps for him.
Have to stop and say thank you! I listen to your videos on repeat to fall asleep nearly every night. No one else relaxes me as well as you do. After I hear the stories and understand what happened, I can listen and then let my brain go to mush. You are a treasure, and I wanted you to know! 🎉🎉🎉
No way he can explain away all those coincidences that occurred before and after the crime. No burglar would ever take such a risk and kill a pregnant young mother. Extremely unlikely. He’s guilty as hell and we all know it.
He got rid of her and the baby because he not only didn't want the baby and didn't want Laci anymore, but he also didn't want to divorce her and be left paying spousal support and child support as well!
The “Hey, beautiful.” Is so nauseating. I’ve seen this several times from men who murder their wives and then make a phone call before they “discover” the body. Always a sickly sweet endearment. This guy had gotten away with a lot his whole life and I’m sure he felt he’d get away with this.
He wasn't done being a hot shot bachelor so instead of leaving her, he ended her so he could TRY to go back his life before. I'm sorry for her family. I hope he never gets out 😡
Hi Nicole, thank you for all the work and effort you put into this channel 🙏🏻❤️ This case hits a little close to home. I live in the San Francisco/Bay Area and grew up in San Mateo County where the trial took place. I actually served as a witness for a different non-criminal court case that happened to be right next door to the Scott Peterson trial, and as I was waiting outside the courtroom, the doors to the Peterson trial opened and Laci’s mom and brother walked out (they had recessed for lunch). It was so surreal to see them. I could only imagine the pain they were in 😢. Rest in peace Laci and Connor 🕊️And I agree with @Lisa-rq1ff, burglars don’t typically kidnap and murder pregnant women. And there’s just too many coincidences stacking up against Scott. He’s either a very unlucky guy or a sociopath. My money is on the latter. It’ll be interesting to see what evidence The Innocence Project comes up with. It’s kind of scary because they may only need to show just enough to create reasonable doubt. To be continued…
Nicole this is such an intriguing episode! Thank you sincerely for all your hard work and for continuing to share 💛 You're one of my top fave ASMRtists!
Ugh I hate that they keep referring to the baby as a fetus, it feels dehumanizing. I know they’re just technical but still. He was full term. 😢 poor sweet baby. May they both rest in peace. All he ever knew was the warmth and love inside his mama. Being pregnant with a boy now, the thought of this case alone makes my throat close up. 😔
That baby never got to be held or cry or grow up. Conner deserved to live with his mom. I will never understand why being a divorced dad is worse than being a cheater and a murderer in these monsters minds
I absolutely love Sharon Rocha to pieces!! My heart broke for her...... Then she went on to lose her husband Ron and her ex-husband Lacey's dad as well. 💔
I remember this back in 2002-2003. The part for me where I know he's guilty is that he puts himself at the crime scene. He was out where the bodies washed up ashore. He puts himself there fishing. We all know why he was there that day.
I don’t know a man alive (especially with a personality like Scott’s) that buys a boat and doesn’t tell a single soul 🚩 finding Lacey’s hair in a pair of pliers found in said boat 🚩 only her torso being recovered indicating that her body was likely weighted down and he had been making what actually looked like multiple bucket weights 🚩 There’s no way Lacey “visited” that boat and knew about that boat and didn’t mention it to at least her mother who she talked to on a daily basis. I could go on and on- yeah the case may be heavily circumstantial but he’s either guilty or just the most unlucky guy in the world and the way his family seems to think the sun shines out his you know what I’m not buying that this was just a terrible case of really bad luck.
I 100% believe it was him who did it, but it is kinda scary that he was convicted without really any hard evidence. They got the right guy this time, but it sets a precedent that might end up in wrongful convictions :/
Hi Nicole ❤ Love and look forward to ALL the cases you cover. I'm sorry, but I STILL believe Scott's guilty. Burglars, usually don't murder they break-in,steal and move it along. Also Laci's body just happened to be found not far from where he was 'fishing' that day. Scott just happened to hear about the burglary in his neighborhood that day and he's jumping onto that scenario. I've concluded that he's a murderer,an adulterer,a narcissist and an undercover psychopath. And I DON'T believe ANY of his lies. R.I.P Laci🕊️ and Connor🕊️
I don’t think many are buying the possibilities of burglars or a cult taking Laci. Everything Scott said and did after she went missing was bizarre and damning. He is just another narcissistic person who will do anything to get what he wants. I see some similarities with Scott Peterson and Chris Watts’ familiar dynamic.
This case reminds me of the horrifying fact that a leading cause of death for pregnant women is homicide by their partner. How someone could do something like that I will never understand.
Always weird to think this case happened where I live. Lacy was also a sub where my daughter now goes to school. Also, the van dna was tested and confirmed it doesn’t belong to lacy
My husband and I recently watched the Netflix documentary because he knew nothing about her case. I followed it back when it happened, and always knew he was guilty. I can't get myself to watch the Peacock documentary. I have no interest in hearing anything he has to say. He had a huge platform to say whatever he wanted in 2002, and he did nothing to help the police. I've read some Reddit posts about his sister in law being obsessed wirh him, and I tgink his family is delusional if they think he's innocent. Obviously no one would want to face the harsh reality that your son, brother, etc. committed such a heinous crime, but come on! As you said, all the tiny pieces es of evidence paint a bigger picture. There's no coincidences there. Also, with the family thinking it was the burglar, do they honestly think they drove her 90 miles away from her neighborhood to tge same area where Scott was and her body just happened to wash up? Makes no sense. I wish he would just come clean, but he's gotta be a narcissist and never will confess. Poor Laci, Conner and her family and friends. Thanks for making this video. As always, you did a great job.
I'm halfway through the 3 episodes. I'm finding it odd that his sister in law appears on camera, but his brother, who she's married to, does not. Or at least not through the 1.5 episodes I've watched. And if the brother and sister in law are divorced, I would find it even more odd that she's participating.
Scott's show is absolutely annoying and he just sounds like a totally pathetic LIAR still!! It just pissed me off listening to him talk and listening to this little group of older women that are fighting for his innocence, including his sister-in-law!! His mother though she passed away...
Guilty as sin. He hasn't even shown emotion over the fact that he lost his wife AND unborn son Conner. Most people would be utterly broken up over the loss of their spouse and unborn child, not to mention the fact that nobody knew he had a boat or that he never opened the packaging to the fishook that he told the authorities he used and the homemade anchors also were suspicious cause he could have bought anchors perhaps as an add on from the boat dealer. Most people would brag about buying a new boat and show it off to family, friends and coworkers and take it for a spin. He is a liar and a cheat and karma got his ass where he rightfully belongs
Mmmm I'm intrigued by this one! Only just started the video, but I know the case and I am fully convinced he is guilty...let's see if this changes my mind! Thanks for the consistency in your uploads Nicole, helps to give my week some routine lol!

Unpopular opinion... But let me preface it with this. I think Scott Peterson is a terrible person who did a ton of things wrong. The one thing I think he didn't do is kill his wife. The whole idea that the burglary across the street happened after she went missing is questionable since starting in the evening on 12/24 there were police & media all over that neighborhood. In fact, it was reported to police by simply walking out & alerting an officer who was already there when the family got home on 12/26 or 27 (I can't recall which day.) I think she interrupted the crime, they grabbed her, dog (with leash) got away. I'm not sure if they intended to hurt her or just to avoid her calling police, but once she was dead they got a gift from the media giving them the exact location to leave her that would implicate her husband.
There is no evidence he did it. It’s all circumstantial and even though we feel he did it because he was cheating and was a shitty husband it still doesn’t mean he did it.
The fact he told Amber his wife was dead the same day he bought the boat…. There is so much evidence against him. He did it. 100%
