I remember I was 10 years old (1988) Skateboarding down at the school undercover area when a group of Skateboarders showed up with a wall ramp and some other stuff and I was amazed that these skaters were getting up to 4 feet wall rides and straight up shedding, I was in my 4 years of Skateboarding and never seen anything like that. So fast forward to 1992 and I was over and my mom's friends how and her son was getting married and moving and called me in his room to show me some old skate pictures, he pulled a few pictures out at the school of them wall riding and low and behold I was seen standing in the background. I told him that was me and I remembered that day. He said he remembered a kid down there bugging them, that was me. He hooked me up with boxes of his old skateboards and gear. Every time I see videos of old school wall riders I think about that day.
this is a great video, with a lot of amazing tricks. here is my list of favourite blerbs from this video in order of appearance: "watch your package" "try a bone boneless" "it is similar to a miller flip yet very different" "layback air to lay back" "replace your front foot" "but the variations are endless" "you can use your imagination to create gnarly tricks" "a radical way to have fun" "remember that you can enjoy learning more, without broken bones" "weather conditions vary from place to place" "just be cool" "wear your safety gear" "you may notice that we don´t wear saftey gear in this video"
“Watch your package was put in because Brad literally whacked himself in the sack when he did that no comply to tail. Nose of the board got him so good he had to spend a minute hunched over before we could continue filming.

He makes me wish I push mongo, haha. Such a gnarly, primitive-looking style how he does it. Wouldn't look as cool on these modern popsicles, though (although I dig switch mongo).

I know right, it was low key the way he did it bruh. Cuz it wasn't in the info u know.
That’s why I’m here. Lol.

I loved my Alva Danforth Skate back in the 80's! Still have it!
I have this VHS still in my collection, but I have no way to watch it without a vcr lol.
This is the year I started skating. Sick vid!!
Thanks for sharing! 👊🏼🤩
Thanks Andy
The Danforth exclusive.
The narration on this is hilarious!
“Watch your package!”
I had a Danforth Alva back in 87. It got run over on one day while skating a little pipe next to the highway. Bummed me the fuck out
Andy Anderson brought me here! #9CLUB!
I think this video is my mk ultra trigger
Man I was waiting for the whole movie to be uploaded for years!!
I still feel like boards then looked cooler than the ones now.
Grimmwood skateboards.
Check out Chris Heitt, he rocks an oldschool board as his main deck and he's real good with it

Dude these are some of the sickest tricks ...What a great video. Im surprised it doesnt have more views
amazing archive!
The music in the opening part clearly inspired the tunes in the NES Game "Skate or die".
The presentation is dated but the content is solid gold. I wonder how many cassettes got worn out by rewinding certain tricks over and over.
Thank you Rodney mullen 🙌🏽

The Daggers instructional video 😂

One word - RAD!!!!!!!!😁
The music sounds like the same from my middle school wood shop class that was in 2002 they were still using videos from the 80s lol.
This video is AWESOME !!!!
Reminds me of the days when I was a kid ahh ye.
It feels like the whole video plays at half speed. Is it supposed to look like this?
Is that Bill Danforth? I skated with him amd why i shaved my head for decades.
It is. 👍 I had his board around this time. 1988ish

AHHHHHHH..the good ol' days. You can't even call what they do now "street skating".....this is how we did it!!!!!!
Technically it is street skating. They’re doing tricks, on a skateboard, on the street

Yeah, you just got to have that spine strength
It’s crazy 2 think the guys in the video r all probably 60 years old now

Koston and many others pushed switch mongo, that's the reason I did back then when learning switch. Who cares right? Whatever works
