This is one of the best tutorials I've ever seen, and your English is fantastic! I went from feeling completely intimidated by the idea of getting started with digital art to really excited to dive right in. And I'm only halfway through the video!
Thank you so much!!!! This is exactly what I needed. I've never gotten into all the stuff you can do with the selection + transform tools and the 3D rotation tip blew my mind. I created a pretty good looking brick wall with it and as a person who never bothers with drawing backgrounds, being able to do that so easily really opens doors to me. Super fun. I'm only thirty minutes into this tutorial but already felt the need to comment something. If you ever make another Krita/digital art tutorial I'll be looking forward to it! and hey, your English is absolutely fine and very easy to understand. You seem like such a pleasant person :)
Just downloaded Krita the other day, saving this to have a go while I watch the rest. What I've seen seems pretty straightforward but very helpful. Thanks for this 👌
This is just what I needed! Easy to understand and everything was covered. Thank you so much ☺️ I’d advice anyone watching to watch at 1.5x speed just cus it’s a long video.
Amazing presentation! Thank you so much. I’ve been trying to get into digital art for years (I’ve been doing traditional for 2 decades) but it’s always been intimidating for me. This tutorial was perfect and I finally feel confident to get started!

Thank you for taking the time to do this. I've been drawing on paper all my life and have only recently decided to delve into digital painting and drawing. This makes the learning curve MUCH easier!
your accent is lovely and your english is as good as it gets i really appreciate your taking the time to make this and sharing your knowledge thank you :)

very nice; thank you for sharing your knowledge (please don't apologise for your accent; i've been speaking english, and nothing else, for 60+ years, and at no point did i have any problem at all understanding what you were saying; greetings from UK)
I downloaded Krita some time ago. I am very happy to have found this video. Since I started trying to create my own art to sell because of not worried about stealing another person's art. Thank you for this video.
Tbh, I was a bit reluctant to start the video - my focus isn't that great and I can't pay attention to classes that are hours long, usually. But I decided I could split it in parts, if I needed to, so I gave it a shot and that was the best decision I've made. I'm not even half way there yet, but I managed to learn so much already that I felt the need to write a comment. I had been learning how to use Krita for a couple of days, but there's a few details that I think it'd take months, at the best, for me to find out without your help. Thank you so much for posting the video, your tips are just as amazing as the entire lesson and I couldn't be more grateful! All the love!
This is good stuff, thanks for taking the time to create the tutorial and focusing on the real world applicable things someone starting out would need to know.
Awesome tutorial! I used to draw a lot when I was younger and wanted to give digital a try. I downloaded Krita because it was free but I was overwhelmed. You've cleared a lot of that up. Thanks so much!
Have only just discovered this tutorial - it is, by far, the best Krita tutorial I've ever encountered ! Have immediately Subscribed, and look forward to many others from you, especially with the newly-released Krita 5. Merci beaucoup - love your accent !
Added to personal collection of learning videos. Absolutely essential knowledge here. I have a feeling I'll be watching this one several times. ADHD and learning disorders be damned.
Incroyable! Tellement utile, merci beaucoup ! Brilliant in all ways, thank you!
Thanks a lot for this long tutorial! I was able to learn so much more than with short ones because you got into the details. Especially the tools section was very useful and the demo section :D
Respect for putting this together. I barely scratch the surface of the capabilities (Krita is light-years ahead of Blender for adding subtle details to textures so that's my main use) but you can never learn too much about a tool in the inventory.
Thanks so much for making this wonderful tutorial!!!! After watching the entire video ,I am sure it's a must watch for everyone into Krita or digital painting . Merci.
omfg thank you oh god i haven't even finished the video and within 30 minutes this man has helped me so much i will be rewatching this video so many times
THANK YOU! I never knew there was an overview option and I’ve been using Krita for over two years (i just don’t explore it much tbh)! This is a game changer and helps out a lot tysm :)
Thank you for this video. I didn't have any trouble at all understanding you. Your voice is very nice to listen to, and easy to understand. Sending much 💜
Awesome tutorial. I'm going through this in 1h sessions (~20 min watching, ~40 min playing around), spent 4 hours now, 5 more to go. This is really fun!
When i heard the voice and thought of kermit and now i cant unheard it. but incredible vids. the voice quantify the already great video to a new realm!
Your narration is clear and warm, trés bon! I was deciding whether to try Krita as it can do things more easily than GIMP. I am no artist but have a small Wacom tablet and your channel seems like a good place to start. Merci beaucoup!
Instead of hitting X all the time, you can just use shift+backspace to use the foreground rather than the background colour to fill your selection. Great video. Really enjoyed. :)
Thank you so much, that was exactly what i was needing!! I just started at digital art, and found krita, but i was so lost with all that tools, and your video, explaining um details each thing, helped me a lot
Omg... this... thank you so so much for this tutorial! 💗 I've been struggling and will be going over this video several times to get my act together. Thank you!!!
Thank you! Really very helpful video! I'm surprised you stopped with the drawing videos after this one. I guess life happens, but you have a gift for explaining this topic so if you have the opportunity please make more.
idk if you'll see this since the video is pretty old now but theres no need to apologize for your accent. your english is lovely and this tutorial is amazng.
Excellent tutorial. This video is much better than some courses I've taken. Easy-to-understand explanation for beginners. This content is invaluable. Congratulations for the excellent work.
Excellent! Very helpful and well explained. I had no issue with your French accent (I'm Irish; native English speaker). You speak clearly and are easy to understand.
Thank you so much for teaching/sharing/posting this tutorial, I spent hours searching & watching Krita stuff on YT for beginner after downloading the free app in the past few days. Yours is the BEST! THE BEST! & way better than the official channel videos! I've learned so much, merci beaucoup! & I have very little art/drawing background, just learning watercolor/paint/sketch stuff by myself during free time. Could you also share how you draw some paintings & develop art yourself? You're really good at explaining things, very good teacher! I'd really like to learn more about what brushes to use at when to create what effects, then in order to develop our own art style etc. Alos, thank you for telling us beginners that those brushes don't matter to the art we create, I was so confused of what brush to use at when to create certain wanted styles, like I have the images in my mind, but just don't know how to express them correctly in digital format. I tried to draw like Bob Ross in Krita, but also wanna learn how to draw those futuristic robotic effects paintings. Really cool if you could teach us!
Thanks for making this, great job. I'm working my way through bit by bit. Exactly what I was looking for, very excited to learn from you. Please don't apologise for your accent, your English is really good

Most comprehensive and thorough tutorial that I have seen. No BS and all the good stuff. Thank you!!!!
This is one of the best tutorials I've ever seen, and your English is fantastic! I went from feeling completely intimidated by the idea of getting started with digital art to really excited to dive right in. And I'm only halfway through the video!
39:04 the shortcut for filling the foreground colour is shift + backspace
THANK YOU!!!!!! THIS IS AMAZING! I haven't found another video as helpful as yours. I seriously cannot begin to tell you how much I needed this.
Just downloaded Krita the other day, saving this to have a go while I watch the rest. What I've seen seems pretty straightforward but very helpful. Thanks for this 👌
I'm 33 minutes into this video and havev learned more than an entitre course. You are EPIC!
Thanks so much for doing this.
This is one of the absolute best tutorial videos I have ever seen. You have made transitioning to Krita so much smoother. Thank you!
*What is the Gospel?*
The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of GOD, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Romans 10:9
9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

@@tama3442 Are you an NPC from the game "Outlast 2"?
Thank you for taking the time to do this. I've been drawing on paper all my life and have only recently decided to delve into digital painting and drawing. This makes the learning curve MUCH easier!
I love your accent! Believe it or not I find you easier to understand than many native english tutorials. Tysm for starting me out the right way!
your accent is lovely and your english is as good as it gets i really appreciate your taking the time to make this and sharing your knowledge thank you :)
How are you finding it, Krita and the drawing tablet?
Such a comprehensive tutorial! Thank you for making this, really helps a newbie

very nice; thank you for sharing your knowledge
(please don't apologise for your accent; i've been speaking english, and nothing else, for 60+ years, and at no point did i have any problem at all understanding what you were saying; greetings from UK)
Thank you so much! I'm brand new to digital art and super rusty in traditional. This video was much needed for me!
This is good stuff, thanks for taking the time to create the tutorial and focusing on the real world applicable things someone starting out would need to know.
All of their apologizing for the accent was so cute🥺😄❤️This tutorial is great! Thank you!
Awesome tutorial! I used to draw a lot when I was younger and wanted to give digital a try. I downloaded Krita because it was free but I was overwhelmed. You've cleared a lot of that up. Thanks so much!
OMG Thank you so much!!!!!!!
Just a few questions: 1) How did you reselect the circle at 2:03:42
2) How did you draw such a perfect shadow at 2:09:08?
You can Ctrl+Click on the little image next to the layer and it is gonna select everything visible on that layer.

This is THE Best basic Krita tutorial! Thank you, thank you, thank you! The complete guide for beginners
I cant thank you enough for this one. You are amazing! The way you have explained the blending modes is so clear. Thank you so much.
I may have to switch to Krita thanks to CSP, so this tutorial is gonna be my life saver. Thank you!
I've been using krita for a year and I learnt more from this video than I did naturally in that time
This was the one of the best tutorials out there. Both for Krita and basic drawing part. Especially faces with random shapes part, love it!
Amazing video, such a good explanation for everything, its just the peak of any tutorial video, the father of tutorials. Keep up the good work!
Incroyable! Tellement utile, merci beaucoup ! Brilliant in all ways, thank you!
This tutorial is... pretty cool! Seriously, great tutorial man! I am learning so much and it is really easy to follow along! :) Thank you!
Thanks a lot for this long tutorial! I was able to learn so much more than with short ones because you got into the details. Especially the tools section was very useful and the demo section :D
Great tutorial, thank you so much! I know I'll be returning to it often whenever I need a reminder.
Just discovered your channel. Have to say, you're an absolute legend!
Thank you very much for this tutorial. You're doing a great work!
I appreciate when people make tutorials for opensource software.
This is an all-in-one premium package! Hell yeah!
I'm just passing by to say that I liked the video before I even watched it. Thank you very much for your effort.
Don't ever apologize for being you, man. Your accent is cool, bro. You got it, thanks for the tips
THANK YOU! I never knew there was an overview option and I’ve been using Krita for over two years (i just don’t explore it much tbh)! This is a game changer and helps out a lot tysm :)
Never deny your origin, be proud and don't apologize, your English is clear and precise, that's all that counts. Your accent sounds nice.
New subscriber here! This tutorial is very helpful. I just started using Krita and this is amazing! Thank you!
Your narration is clear and warm, trés bon! I was deciding whether to try Krita as it can do things more easily than GIMP. I am no artist but have a small Wacom tablet and your channel seems like a good place to start. Merci beaucoup!
Thank you for the great instructions, I'm new to digital art and felt lost , but your tutorial helped me drastically!!
Instead of hitting X all the time, you can just use shift+backspace to use the foreground rather than the background colour to fill your selection. Great video. Really enjoyed. :)
Thank you so much this tutorial it really helped me a lot, as a beginner this is a gem
Krita rocks, and this helps a lot to get into the basics. What an awesome tutorial! And nice tutor, too. Thanks very much for this :)
3 hours of my life I'll never regret spending❤amazing video man
Thank you so much, that was exactly what i was needing!! I just started at digital art, and found krita, but i was so lost with all that tools, and your video, explaining um details each thing, helped me a lot
I gotta say I found this toturial crazy levels of helpful, thanks for taking the time!
The best Up & Running tutorial for Krita
I'm proud of you being an awesome mentor ! Love You and praying for your more perfection in Art !
Your accent is lovely to listen !❣
Omg... this... thank you so so much for this tutorial!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!! I was completely lost with krita but now the monster is under control hahah
Please don't apologise for your accent, your English is really good
Thank you - that was an awesome tutorial! And it obviously took a sizeable portion of time to make.
wow, I had wasted hours coloring and getting the right shades but after watching this video and getting the idea of greyscale coloring, it made it so much easier
THANKS SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS TUTORIAL ON KRITA. MUCH NEEDED! GOD BLESS YOU. MUCH LOVE FROM SOUTHWEST UTAH USA.
Krita, blender and Unreal 5 ??? Bro's doing everything i've wanted to learn. I see how the stars are aligned now
