Granville Island is a peninsula and shopping district in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is located in False Creek directly across from Downtown Vancouver's peninsula, under the south end of the Granville Street Bridge.
The peninsula was once an industrial manufacturing area, but today it is now a major tourist destination and working neighbourhood.
The Granville Island Public Market features a farmers market, day vendors, and artists offering a various of local Vancouver culinary offerings. There are fifty permanent retailers in the market offering local products. In addition, there are over one-hundred Day vendors in stalls throughout the market selling a variety of Artisan cottage-industry foods and unique hand-made crafts on a rotating schedule.
Just sitting with my girl, remembering the wonderful day we had here ( and the unforgetable time we had in BC) with her son and my folks. My Mom has passed on but we all love to think back on the times we've enjoyed together in a most beautiful, fun, and friendly place. If you've not visited this area, put it very high on your bucket list.....it kicks ass in sooooo many ways!
One of my favorite places in Van, love the gyros there, Indian food, bakery goods, the produce and more. Always go there during hockey season.

@abdullahhakan1 most definitely not unfortunately. In fact just one thing that Joe was really curious about was the Salmon. At this market, it $20.99/lb. We went to the docks in a place called Steveston(about 45 minutes away) & the fishermen were selling the same salmon for $9.99/lb off their boat.
