Glad you found your time in Vancouver so wonderful. I lived there for many years as well as the major cities in Canada and some US. I have been fortunate enough to have traveled most of the world visiting hundreds of major cities and i have to say without a doubt Vancouver is the most naturally beautiful city in the world. As you have already figured out there is so much more to do in Vancouver than can be done in a day which is like New York City.. You could use a week to explore different districts in Manhattan alone. I have now retired to Vancouver Island and it is truly paradise... i almost hate to promote it but a lot of people have discovered it. Beautiful natural settings that will astonish you and that is my suggestion for your next visit. From one end of the island to the other will require a week but will be worth it.
We have to agree that's it's the most naturally beautiful city!! Vancouver Island really interests us. We heard a few people mention it, and now we are curious to go back and explore. Thanks so much for watching!
Local Vancouverite here, Best place to visit during the summers hands down. It`s a very diverse community which makes the food one of the best in the world!
For anyone following in your footsteps - there is a FREE suspension bridge in North Vancouver (also close to downtown) in Lynn Canyon. It also has a great trail and waterfall system. Vancouver is diverse and, as a result, there is great food - but there is one big con - winter rain. Unless you are a skier - (great access to mountain snow) - I recommend visiting Vancouver between April and mid October. November is grim.
Wow, what a great Vancouver, Canada, tour location. Still on a virtual view that is friendly place to visit, Thank you for sharing your travels, my good friend. Staying connected 👍👍
24 hours in Vancouver is not nearly enough to even scratch the surface. I would say 4 to 5 days to really see everything and get a real good feel for the city.
Awesome and very informative video, enjoyed the 24 hr tour of Vancouver, definitely on my list of cities to visit next year. Congrats on the Best Western partnership 🎉
Awesome 24 hrs in YVR! as you realized it’s definitely not enough time….. so much to see and places to go…. head north next time to Sqaumish, Whistler & the Pemberton area…also grouse mountain in north Vancouver is a great spot!! Best Western is my favourite hotel chain, glad to see you partnered up with them. My last visit to downtown Vancouver I stayed at the Georgian Court by BW…. It was amazing!!!!
Thank you so much! Honestly this trip made us realize we have a lot to see in Canada. Adding all these spots to our list for next time! And so glad to hear you like our partnership with best western! It’s a really great chain and we have loved staying at their properties over the years!
Hey, as a (near) lifetime VanCity resident it was cool to see you got to see a good dose of the sites! It's too bad you guys didn't go a little further up the road from the Capilano suspension bridge and do what's called the Grouse Grind! A local hikers rite of passage, and it's always fun for fit tourists to give it a go! Its a 2ish mile (relentless!) hike, that happily leaves you at a beautiful chalet/cafe with some fantastic views! Not 'fun', per se....but everyone has to do it, if only to say you did it! Lol. Also, as mentioned, you need to either rent a bike or even some rollerblades and circle the sea wall on Stanley Park. It gives you such a great overview of the landscape. By the way I'm also an ex cruise ship staffer from RCCL! I was a shoppie and I got to see about 25 ports in my two years. (As you remember..) - long hours, but the ports of call (and $) made it worthwhile. Must be why you two are travel bugs! Loved your energy and enthusiasm and lookin forward to your next adventure! Cheers
First of all, thanks so much for the tips! You've given us some ideas for next time! So cool you also were an ex cruise ship staffer! What an incredible time that period of our life was, but oh was it tiring!! I'm sure you relate! Thanks for watching!
Great video Guys! Too bad you were not venturing into the Sunny Okanagan area , we would love to show you the beautiful valley. If you like wine this is your place. Next time you are here give us a shout and we will show you around! Cheers Chris and Jim
Poutine was created in Quebec. It's the farthest thing from a dish from BC or Vancouver! And I've never heard a Canadian talk about Vancouver being famous for its poutine. (I'm from Montreal but have been living in Vancouver since 1980.)
Oh don’t worry! We know it’s from Quebec! When we told people we were coming to Canada in general, they told us to try poutine ;) hoping to stop in Quebec next year to try the real deal!
On your West Coast road trip, if you happen to come thru Bend, Oregon, I'd love to treat you to a meal at our family's restaurant and give you some tips on must-see, must-eat locations!!
Thank you so much! Our Bend episode comes out in 2 weeks and it’s a good one 😉 sadly we already filmed it, but we are sure we will be back!! Hopefully we do you proud!!
We almost cruised to Alaska out of Vancouver but then we discovered that we could leave from San Francisco and we couldn’t pass up cruising under the Golden Gate Bridge!
15:52 you looked a bit like kara from the channel kara and nate in this scene, and even more in the thumbnail lol. I actually thought u were her, and was very surprised thinking they had more than one channel lol. great video still tho
Capilano is pricy and overrated tourist thing, Lynn canyon is free and has some gorgeous waterfalls and theres some suspension bridges there too. Both are great but you got to check out lynn canyon next time since its free. SO cool ypu tried la belle is for sure the BEEST. also lost of good authetic asian food in van and some cool speakeasys. if you go out to richmond theres the richmond night markert and its one of the biggest in the world such amazing fusion foods and all kinds of authentic stuff, Richmond is the largest Asian community outside of asia
@TouristtoLocal it was originally powered by steam way back, but because of the inability to keep the correct time, the clock portion has been converted to electricity, now only the whistle is powered by steam. So yes it is now a misnomer
All, the way out in the suburbs it’s very racially mixed , you can have Chinese , Filipino , India , Korean, Vietnamese, Spanish from various Central American countries, Europeans , Plus so many others all with in the same neighborhoods
Every body loves Vancouver, except us people that belong their lol ! Trust me cuz we know the truth behind the beauty that no one sees on a getaway trip there !
Vancouver is wonderful where else can you get insane traffic, stabbing, shootings, some of the highest overdose rates in the country, average Americanized restaurants, and insane cost-of-living matched by almost nowhere in North America. Yep it's great! 😂

I used to love it , been here since 1966 but thanks to all these influencers and the hipsters who followed them every last inch of coolness has been destroyed in this city.....😢

@@TouristtoLocal you're welcome
Just a little fact check. The Steam Clock is actually not powered by steam.
Woah really?! That is quite the misleading name then hahaha!
@TouristtoLocal it was originally powered by steam way back, but because of the inability to keep the correct time, the clock portion has been converted to electricity, now only the whistle is powered by steam. So yes it is now a misnomer
Nice video! It looks like you brought money ... because BC stands for "bring cash!" lol. Great place to be and live but it's going to cost you.
Oh totally!!
Hey! Do you handle editing yourself or have you hired someone? I’m an editor and would love to discuss, if you’re interested
bring cash jajaja
