My mom loves cactus and succulents, I'm more into plants with "traditional" leaves, but seeing your arrangements with different cacti together makes me wanna go propagate some of my mom's plants and make a desert garden. I have 3 succulents but they look kinda sad in individual pots, thank you for this video, it's the inspiration I needed and didn't even know it! 💚🌵
Hi Becca! With the rhipsalis (baccifera), they don’t need very high light compared to standard cactus and they like to be watered somewhat often (when almost fully dry)! Hope this helps :)

I see succulents (mostly cactus) I immediately very excited! 😍 I have some of mine inside and others outside because Mediterranean weather seems to be good for them! 😂 Also I usually rescue cacti I find at my local home decor shop because they sell them for a few cents once they see they begin struggling and I bring them back. 😄 P.S. - I'm gonna share with you my Rhipsalis experience and you can see what you can use from it! 😁 I have a small one and I keep it in a nice bright spot not right up against a window but close enough and bottom water every 3 weeks at least now in winter and I've have no shedding and the stems feel nice and firm whcih I've heard is a sign that they're getting enough water cause they'll get softer if they need water believe. 😊

When spring comes around, chop off the outstretched portion of the Pilosocereus, put hormone powder (or cinnamon) on the wound, and leave it laying down on a table until it's fully callused. When the bottom will feel hard and rubbery, put it back into the planter (maybe prop it up with toothpicks) and it will root and grow into a new plant. The old plant meanwhile will put out plenty of pups around the cut!

That Ghost Euphorbia is one of the most beautiful plants I think I’ve ever seen! You’re so lucky! I’m in love with cacti but I’m a realist - in the cold, dark, wet U.K. they don’t stand much of a chance. I get so upset when I lose a plant through unrealistic expectations so I just have the one little Euphorbia acrurensis, who I love dearly.
Absolutely! & yes there is a certain amount of realism we must have with plants in order to not kill each one we buy.. glad you have a little one you can enjoy even so!
I didn't know Burro's Tail would grow new branches from the bald spots! I was given one that was really struggling last fall and it's put out quite a bit of new growth but it looks so ugly on top. That gives me some hope that when I hang it outside come spring it'll fill out some.

I really want to like Cacti, and I have a few but I dislike when they get an infection or something goes bonkers. I feel like with "foliage" type of plants you can easily cut off a leaf you don't like or isn't looking good but with cacti you can't do that.
14:33 I have a jelly bean boi similar to that one but not blue and omg it was dying quicklyyyy lol I almost threw it out but decided to leave it in a corner in front of my south facing window and he’s doing okay now 😅 but I’ll never be able to repot him 😆
I HATE prickly pears! 😅 They are considered an invasive species here in Australia (a pest) as they grow so massive and take over here. Our neighbour has one growing right next to the fence line that we constantly have to cut back when it over hangs and drops it’s gross fruit in summer 🤢. My dog unfortunately ate one of those fruits when she was a pup and it gave her the worst diarrhoea for about a week. 😑 All it does is attract rats and ants-any tips on how to poison it? 🥴 (sorry if that offends anyone but I hate it!) 😅
Uhm girl..... I heard that you could use aloe on acne scars and I tried it and that smell!!!!! It’s awful lol I’ve used it from the plant for sunburns before and I don’t remember it being so strong. I guess I had never used it on my face before because when I tried I couldn’t handle it lol

Cacti are so underrated! I got a prickly pear from someone who was moving during the summer, and it doubled in size just a couple months after being in my home. I love its bunny ears! 🥰

Hi, I'm brand new to plants. And I have the rik rak one and I looove himm, had for about a year n half mayyyybe 2 , anyway seems to do well wherever I put it.. but it's growing things that do not look like the rest of him , at first I thought ok new growth, but it's sooo different. Some are these long skinny like strands, with these little cactus looking things on the tips .. I DnT knw if hard to explain I guess. Just wondering if this normal ...? Also mine is nowhere neer to your size , should I be doing something more to get more growth ??
I Absolutely Love the planter boxes. They really look good. I lived in Chandler AZ for 17 years. My only hands on with cactus was when a jumping cactus jumped into my head. Awesome Video!

I have a rhipzalis baccifera named luda chris and mines is doing well.. it's in a plant hanger infront of my north facing window... I just water it when the soil is dry...which takes forever. It likes moist soil. He is happy. And yes it sheds if you touch it alot...

That wasnt a flower on those trigonas. Flowers from euphorbia trigona are white. Those are leaves.

Aloes are related to onions so makes sense also why some people can be allergic to aloe if they are to onions

Great video! I live in Phoenix and I am looking for a white ghost euphoria and a few other cacti. Do you have any nursery suggestions? I am also open to traveling to Tucson!
Mesquite valley growers has them in tucson pretty often, but also you could definitely find them in Phoenix at cactus shops.
I love Opuntias but they're an illegal weed in my state (NSW, Australia) 😔
