    Looks great. They've kept the fans close to the pitch and the vertical stands will help with the atmosphere.

    Looks like a great stadium and honestly everything I have heard about how it was built, the amount of consultation with the fans, and design ethos, you cant fault them. A lot of stadium proposals just seem to be rich new owners showing off, but this seems like a stadium for the future and the fans. Even down to having an Evertonian in this interview and leading the project.

    Probably the best, and most important, stadium/regeneration project ever built in the UK. This is a historic brownfield site, a short walk down from the historic Albert Dock, pier head and ferry ports. Yet its remained derelict for decades. Everton nearly shipped OUTSIDE the city centre to Kirkby, but instead they're moving to a phenomenal new stadium, right near the heart of Liverpool, the iconic waterfront, which isnt far from their previous home and regenerating a huge part of their heritage in the process. Its incredible.

    • @andrewhead6267
      @andrewhead6267 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Looking forward to visiting when complete. Have to say the new Tottenham stadium is phenomenal as is the Arsenal stadium. Both on brown field sites within walking distance of their historic former sites. I think that makes them and this at a different level to those stadiums like Man City, Brighton, Derby and MK Dons that feel so detached. All fine stadiums though they are. There are fewer and fewer traditional stadiums around now. Still enjoy Villa Park and The Hawthorns, but Goodison will be sad to see go. For Everton though and the city it will be a brilliant day when the new stadium holds its first competitive match.

    Designed by architect Dan Meis The staduim steep terrace is based on BVBs Signal Iduna Park staduim making the pitch low into the bowl and the fans looking down creating a culdren. Everton had to be aware of the historic buildings in the build so they had to make safe and completely restore the old pumphouse within the fans plaza and they relayed tram/railway lines in the floor of the plaza. The historic dock wall had peices cut out of it for new metal gates to be inserted, the gaps between the new gates and the wall are filled in with the origal stone they removed and the top of the gates will have the wall eding stones put on top of them so the gates become part of the wall.. This staduim looks massive when you are stood outside it and, it will be the first thing passengers on cruise liners and sailors on ships see as they sail up the mersey to enter Liverpool.

    What an amazing positive for the City of Liverpool and it will only benefit the Premier League brand.
    Just need the Premier League to acknowledge that without building the stadium Everton would not be breaching PSR and to retract their point’s deduction.
    Also PSR is about on gaining a sporting (on pitch) advantage. I can’t see how building a superior stadium does that??? Everton are paying for this stadium themselves unlike City or West Ham who were given a stadium. It’s costing £750 million too.

    • @scottfletcherr1457
      @scottfletcherr1457 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Plenty of sides have built stadiums without breaching FFP rules. Everton should have cut spending in other areas. The deduction should stand. Everton have been run in an appalling way over the last few years and have been fortunate to stay in the Premier league.

    • @peteward6301
      @peteward6301 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      And have these same sides been told halfway through that their main benefactor can no longer pay for it because of a war? Everton didn’t want to have to take loans out. Usmanov’s money was paying for it plus he was their main club sponsor and that money was sanctioned too.
      So I get what you’re saying but Everton is behind only Brighton and Luton for the least spent on players in the past 3 seasons, not mention being forced to sell Richarlison and Gordon so I’m not sure where else they’re supposed to cut!!

      Fabulous stadium on the way in for Everton, a real eye opener by the water there. However, Spurs are a fiscally run club, run by a businessman who knows the rules (that doesn't necessarily make him a great chairman btw). Everton's problems lie within the ownership and their spending, Everton have admitted breaking the rules I believe. The PL stated that ALL clubs shook hands on the enormous rule book. I wouldn't worry too much, City will most probably face much harsher penalties, and when you think that the Oil Money has paid for all their success at the expense of fair play, let's hope they get the book thrown at them. The day's of the likes of Roman Abramavitch types sinking vast fortunes into failing businesses but to win trophies, has long gone, as Roman has. Mind you, one has to wonder why that dirty Russian money hasn't been investigated fully, where it came from and whether it was rinsed by Putin.

      @Steve-io5oh The whole club needs to forward think. Everything is OK for a club that doesn't expect more fans or events. Man Utd fans want a new stadium with more capacity than wembley just out of ego. Everton are a bigger club than Man City and should have a bigger stadium than them.

      @@karlwilliams862552k is perfect as a stadium and venue for a football atmosphere. The build site is the main constraint. Could have gone for 75k but the council wouldn't approve of that at that historic site.
      It looks like a nice and compact version of Camp Nou. Or a cross between Camp Nou and Signal Iduna park

      They should have gone for 75k. Having a huge stadium in the north would increase revenue and make the ground historic.
      Also you don't get to build a new stadium every decade.

      No THFC is in reality a slightly better stadium. I consider it only second to THFC stadium. Both stadiums are the new generation type. My god Wembley looks sad. Wembley needs updating. A new retractable roof would be good. Personally I think it is better to completely demolish an old stadium and build a new one. Looking forward to other new stadiums in the 92. I know one club that needs a new stadium desperately…

      Sensible recycling is common sense, but people need to ask themselves what an optimum amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would be - plants love more carbon dioxide and the only reason we humans are alive is because plants use carbon dioxide to produce oxygen. So start thinking about what keeps plants happy and we humans are likely to remain happy too.
