I don't know if anyone reads a comment made nearly a year after an episode was aired; but I was impressed by the constant run of information imparted by this homeowner. Her commentary was so detailed and so organized that it was as much a class on interior design as it was a tour of her home. Every room, its features and its appointments, was visible proof of how her head works--and I loved it. There was A LOT to learn in this episode. Thank you.
I totally agree! I am here first time over the 4th of July weekend after binging MANY of these videos and I am in love with this house and now I want this gracious Southern lady to be my friend. Fabulous episode.
Love the tip for mounting and framing heirloom brooches that aren't really wearable today, instead of keeping them in drawers that rarely see the light of day. Idea officially nicked!
Maggie is a doll… ❤ One of the best home tours I have ever seen. It was so inspiring. I love so many of her ideas. Especially with how she incorporated so many family heirlooms. Little touches here and there of her boys art as well. Just so sweet ❤
Beautiful house. I love that she has gorgeous antiques but a hint of modern to keep things fresh and not stuffy. The colors and wallpapers are gorgeous. Very well designed. I would like a smaller version of this home.
What a lovely Homeworthy host! So well spoken and not pretentious. A fellow Georgia girl! And how special that she loves and honors her mother in law.❤️Beautiful home!👏🏼
I am from Spain so I know nothing about Georgia girls, this lady is lovely, not pretentious at all and I love that she allows her children to decorate the house with their legos even when Homeworthy is shooting. I am sure you are also a good example of a girl from Georgia.
I couldn't choose a favorite room in this house. The dining room wall mural is beyond beautiful. I am sure there are minimalist fans clutching their pearls but for me the definition of a home is one filled with beautiful objects and collections. Traditional southern homes are my go to for inspiration.
What a beautiful home you have made for your family, I’m from Australia and we have nothing like this going on in interior design. Absolutely beautiful
Maggie is the ultimate designer and tour guide. She designed her home to suit her and her family! Inside and out, she gave me ideas, and I loved everything about it! It's one of the best Homeworthy tours listed! 🧸❤❤❤❤❤
Surprised to see the negative comments. This is a superbly cohesive home. I enjoyed hearing the backstory and why they choose what they did - that’s how we can learn the thought process of a professional. There was obviously a very high budget here but money doesn’t always equal style. In this case it definitely does. Gorgeous home. I’d live there in a heartbeat!
I am not surprised to be honest , I was watching it on my tv and I thought I hope I am not only one who doesn’t like this style at all . Which is strange regardless of my personal taste , I usually will like and say it’s not me but it’s beautiful . This one though , I really can’t see coziness or any appeal , too dark , doesn’t match really , let’s say if I was looking for decorator and I saw that , I would definitely pass . Each to their own . And I am not hater or anything . I love decorating and setting up homes , but this is very hard no .
This women embodies everything I love about home design and decor…. Understated elegance, history, warmth, and function. Because of those things, she must be extremely successful….I know I couldn’t afford her! 😂 However, I listened to her narrative and learned a few things! Thanks for a wonderful vid!
This was one of the most enjoyable house tours you’ve featured here and one of the best hostesses! I loved how Maggie explained so much about her home as in colors, room layouts, decorations, etc., etc. I love to see someone so appreciative of heirlooms in an age of minimalism, contemporary, disposable and often poor quality furnishings. You really don’t have to have wealth to have a beautiful, layered home.
It is always nice to see when homes are decorated with family specific items. It makes a space feel more like a home. Thank for sharing your home with us.
spot on! Home after home seems to be either over the top decorating or else it's sterile like a 'model home'. Maggie nailed it! I love her style, her style is my style (my wanna-be style). It was exquisite perfection in my opinion. Thank you homeworthy for the best home tour ever.
One of Homeworthy's best tours. Maggie is so grounded and gives such a professional tour, yet w/o any sense of ostentation. Love that she gives love and respect to her family. So young, so poised, lovely.
I believe this is the most beautiful home I have viewed. It holds a generational history of a family that has clearly been blessed with life and love. I pray that you will continue to hold tight to those traditions that have formed the bonds you carry thru and pass on. Family is so very important. Creating is a part of our DNA. Our Father in Heaven is the most talented Designer of them all. Look around at His creation. Everything stems from Him! I am saving this video. I enjoyed it that much. I enjoyed the tenderness as you expressed your love for family and home. So wonderfully expressed. God bless 🙌 🙏 ❤️. And, thank you for sharing😊!
I'm a big fan of dark brown and its many variations. As for the home and Maggie, well, just perfection. She knows what everything is and where it came from and its significance to her family. That each person has their own locker is genius. Those boys aren't going to pick up their things, so throw it into each one's closet and close the beautiful brown door. Bravo Maggie!
my absolute FAVORITE designer on my FAVORITE design channel!!! I havent even watch it yet and Im already getting goosebumps!! Everything Maggie touches is sooooo good!!!! ❤❤❤❤
I have really enjoyed this house tour and will most definitely be watching it a couple more times, Maggie is a natural in her elements; we have recently moved from New York to Georgia, not far from Gainesville, love everything about this home, great vibes. I want to be like her when I grow up. 😁
I love that her home has details that make it look like it's been there for many decades. You'd never know it was a new build. That's the way to do a new construction! I love the Tudor style on the outside & the warm wood & deep gorgeous colors inside. So many designers do all white everything & while it looks new, to me it lacks soul. A house should express who you are in your heart & her home obviously does that. I love how each room has layers to it & has so many pieces collected over time, that's how it should be. I wouldn't want quite as much stuff, but that's just me, personally. When I join my dear grandmother in Heaven, I don't want my child to have to go through so much stuff, but in this lady's case, it'll probably be passed down to all of her daughters-in-law to put in their homes. I absolutely love her home, it's the perfect example of cozy. The bedroom is definitely like a retreat or hideaway. And I love that she throws in animal prints to keep it from being too stuffy & traditional & although the modern art isn't my taste, it also works in the same way as the animal prints. Was anybody thinking southern belle while watching her? Ahh..the dress collection. 🙂 But she's a very sweet southern belle & excellent at what she does.
Absolutely LOVE Maggie’s style, I think for me it’s the personal touch of things that have meaning to her and her husband, nothing pretentious or over the top, a really well thought out home and how the spaces will function. Her color palette is so beautiful and comfortable, if I ever get the chance, I would love to have a library that’s cozy like hers is. And I also like that awesome skirt she’s wearing, I was hoping she would share where she got it from!
Just beautiful! I agree with comment below. One of the better homes on Homeworthy! So many designers get a little carried away and it is too much. Your taste is just right!
You can tell that she is gonna be one of the best boy moms in the world. I can already feel like she will have the best tailgates! She is so southern and so elegant, with a home that's a tour-de-force in blending masculine and feminine energy. Her home literally feels like a sweet, feminine belle surrounded by a bunch of manly and southern, quality gentlemen; this home feels like bourbon in a wine glass. 10/10!
@@rmonson5002 This comment made me laugh. I am just an educated southerner. If you know our culture, you'll understand the tone of my comment! Hope you are well!
I loved this tour! Maggie was great at explaining various design and color choices made throughout the home. I love her style...traditional yet modern touches. I also like her art choices and how she used pride of placement - I'm going to consider how to incorporate some of her ideas with some of my special items.
Good for you, bringing Tudor back. I loved all the originals, would see them as a kid visiting my Nan & Pop in Bronxville. I called them Troll houses. ❤
What a house! What a queen! I love it ALL. For me, this woman has nailed contemporary gracious Southern living . I wouldn’t change a thing. One of the best episodes ever.
Your home is a dream! I love all the details you created, the comfortable cozy vibe, everything has a purpose and not ostentatious or pretentious. I like the way you explain the items and furniture in your home, your wardrobe is also classic and modern. I can just imagine how much you love your family by providing them with a beautiful home .❤
Beautiful, curated, unique design. The other thing I love about this home are the proportions; for a new-build, it’s refreshing to see rooms with proper proportions and scale, as opposed to one giant open plan floor.
Beautiful home! What a great mom to respect her son’s artistic talents to keep the lego’s out on display! People, those are very difficult to put together! Kids got talent!
It’s a very contemporary with a traditional edge. But also it gives dark academia in some rooms. But then the prints give a boho articulation. It’s well done.
Wow. What an incredibly poised, smart, and thoughtful designer who has managed to balance purposeful design with homey touches. I'm so impressed and grateful for the tour. Thank you.
This was absolutely delightful!!! I will be watching this one again. And how generous is she to show us so much of her home. I especially love the oak paneled vestibule leading into the primary suite inclusive of the wrapping station. Just wow!
Wow. Great house with wonderful livable touches. Incorporating the old with the new brings that family and friend history together. Not everyone can do that successfully. Nothing wrong with World Market furniture if it is well made and has good bones. Those velvet chairs say "High End." Maggie is very articulate and explains her design choices well.
I totally love homeworthy! You learn so much and you really get inspired, well, at least I do. I have watched so many episodes and went out and purchase items for my home. I am thinking about starting a TH-cam channel to document my journey. The only thing that scares me is that I don't know anything about starting a channel. Even though I don't have much patience, decorating my home is teaching me patience. What I can tell you is that it will take time, it may take you months or even years but, it'll all come together. What I'm learning is, you have to let the pieces in your home come to you. Don't just go out and buy anything, just let it come to you. If you want some investment pieces, save your money to buy it, buy something similar, or try and make it yourself. But whatever you do, don't rush it, stay organized and most importantly, don't go broke trying to do it.❤
This lady has mad skills🌸this is skilled work. Simply gorgeous. She’s broken all of the decor rules that I’ve ever been told, but yet this house is gorgeous 💝. I am a stay at home mom in an 1100 sq feet house and none of this decor seems unobtainable. Thank you for all the good tips😊
A beautiful home, to be sure, but it is beautifully personal, and beautifully functional. Every part of her home was meticulously considered. And obviously brings a lot of meaning to her and her whole family. Thank you for sharing your home, but more importantly, thank you for sharing your family with us.
Hi. Wow. What an Amazing Excellent House, so much lovely to see and share. You are so lucky, to Finally have the House of Your Dreams, Your Way with All, You Own and Have... i am Australian, i can tell You, Compared to Your life and house, we live Tiny, Most of Us... I find it difficult, to See and Understand, the Greatness of You and Your Lives. Bless You, You are Truley Blessed. Thanky fir Sharing. Truly Excellent, Well Made and Done...Love Love Your Life...
Maggie proves you can decorate with framed photos. So many online TH-cam inferior decorators claim you can not use framed photos and instead must have a gallery wall. Framed photos are wonderful. Her inherited vintage Buckler frame collection is very sweet and that Hudson River School painting was killer in her dining room. The Bunny Williams bed is also just dreamy. I love it. It is funny she must be a close neighbor to me as I too live in the North Ga mountains. I would love to hire her to help me with my house especially my basement which is my next big project. She is obviously very talented and has really put her heart into her house.
This beautiful woman Maggie Griffin is so smart, so on point, so loving and warm with regards to her strong Southern Belle family values, style, poise, class, and such respect for her mother in law and her grandparents. Her husband has a treasure to behold. She also educated us on the style, the fabrics used, the time period that she curated the item, her reason for making the mixing and matching and how she pulled it together. She never got tired and just bored us to death not at all. One wants to see more of her home and hear her explain to us the reason why and when and what took place. May God bless you and your loving young family. Thank you for sharing this beautifully renovated and decorated home filled with love, beauty, warmth. Happy Autumn of 2024.
Such a lovely home. I love all the detail and I love the thought. She put in to all of her design only less than a hour from where we live is this beautiful place. I love the way she did the brooches that is memory of family members. Something I plan on doing myself. Thanks again for sharing.❤🙏🏼🌹👍🏼
BEST HOUSE ON THIS CHANNEL SO FAR ❤ will be watching it again with my husband later so that we can discuss and be inspired for more of home renovations. Thank you so much for sharing your home!
I'm a furniture guy. So when she said that she really loved the Bunny Williams bamboo bed, I went to the website. On that side under the heading of essentials I also saw a "Southern Belle" sofa. I think that fairly describes this whole episode.
@@Editorknowsbest good for her! she's worked hard for every penny and deserves nice luxuries, and as a designer she needs to use her home as her business card basically.
Thankyou for sharing your pretty home….I love the ledge in Samuels room….my son would have all of his model race cars….hugs from carolyn in Columbus ga
Absolutely beautiful home! Designed to perfection! I look forward to the day when everyone can have a beautiful home like this ❤ the homeowner is so sentimental. It was really nice to see how she preserved so many items from the matriarchs in her family
What? Everyone? Would be nice but not everyone is willing to do the work to have a home that looks like this. I also love how she incorporates family history in her decor. I think we should all do more of that. I got rid of things when my parents and grandparents died that I wish I had kept and made into wall art. I didn't think of it, and had never seen anything like this, so hopefully posts like this will help give people ideas for ways to preserve some of their family history.
Love so much about this! That bed! Swoon! I can't even afford the Williams Sonoma knockoff, but it sure is pretty! I also love how she described the personal significance of the things in her home. Sure, there are some pieces that are purely decorative, but many, if not most, have a story behind them. That's my favorite kind of decorating.
Love her taste, right up my alley. Especially love the dinning room; the Schumacher wallpaper and window dressing... warm and very tasteful home. Me love!
Beautiful Home! ❤️I’m glad to see that you are sentimental in your home decorating ~ it makes a home so comfortable and cozy for your family and guests!
I think i haven’t seen on internet a house that has been built and decorated thinking about all the details from the outdoors to the indoors, the family likes and each of the members life style. Plus the guests and neighborhood kids! The interior design is impeccably coordinated but doesn’t feel like a show house. There is beauty everywhere in this house full with memories and you don’t feel it crowded. Definitely, I think her being a psychologist, a third generation of mother’s dedicated to their family and house, and her current ID career have made her a superb ID. Saving this video 🎉. Thank you Homeworthy ❤
An absolutely incredibly beautiful home!!! 🤩 I think that sometimes people can become out of touch with reality when they are this fortunate, because she makes the comment about how most little girls have an outdoor playhouse . Hahaha, if only that were true 🤷🏻♀
I got that as well, when she said it. She is definitely out of touch. I think she would have a difficult time living in the real world. Ms. B. Churchill
@@elenap3096 , yes of course we still played house even if we didn’t have a separate playhouse , and had fun!. One of our neighbors had a playhouse, but she never let anyone of us go play in it. She said we could play outside! 😂

I think , this is the most lovable and beautiful interior video I have ever seen.
Beautifully designed!!
Love the family room lay out I love the color of the leather chairs
I have followed Maggie for years on Instagram and Pinterest and I love her newest house! She has a beautiful demeanor and I love her sentimentality.
She is cool and calm and has an awesome home.
Love her style! Beautiful home.
From the minute you walked into the study, I knew this would be one of my favorite designed home. And it was. Absolutely stunning!
What a lovely lady with a lovely, elegant and functional, beautiful home ❤️🙏
Fabulous architecture and interior.
Maggie - a year later, I think yours might be my favourite. I keep coming back.x
BEST HOUSE ON THIS CHANNEL SO FAR ❤ will be watching it again with my husband later so that we can discuss and be inspired for more of home renovations. Thank you so much for sharing your home!
Excellent episode! Maggie is an excellent host. She kept me interested and her home is gorgeous!
Maggie is such a sweet southern lady with huge talent. I love the deep colors in her home❤
What a beautiful home, great job.
I'm a furniture guy. So when she said that she really loved the Bunny Williams bamboo bed, I went to the website. On that side under the heading of essentials I also saw a "Southern Belle" sofa. I think that fairly describes this whole episode.
@@Keepinmindinc but without the good taste! Interior designer 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That bamboo bed is $7,000! Meanwhile, so many are homeless or about to be.
@@ajvintage9579 That’s only the starting price. Maggie has a king size which retails for $10,400
@@Editorknowsbest good for her! she's worked hard for every penny and deserves nice luxuries, and as a designer she needs to use her home as her business card basically.
@ajvintage9579 wth...So what sort of bed do YOU think she should be allowed to purchase..stop it.
Beautiful home. So much inspiration to be found
Thankyou for sharing your pretty home….I love the ledge in Samuels room….my son would have all of his model race cars….hugs from carolyn in Columbus ga
I love this beautiful, dark, moody and cozy home!!
Beautiful. This home is the perfect blend of traditional and modern.
Her outfit is gorgeous
So beautiful and cozy.❤
Love so much about this! That bed! Swoon! I can't even afford the Williams Sonoma knockoff, but it sure is pretty! I also love how she described the personal significance of the things in her home. Sure, there are some pieces that are purely decorative, but many, if not most, have a story behind them. That's my favorite kind of decorating.
So so pretty! I love that there is color and not just a sea of white. Lovely!
Three minutes in and I already love what they’ve shown so especially all the real and faux bamboo.
Loved this home! Thought of so many things! All the usable spaces! Love the mid room! Love the pocket doors!!!!
Definitely one of my favorite homes so far. Absolutely beautiful ❤
Not only do I love how u decorate, I love that outfit u are wearing.
An absolutely incredibly beautiful home!!! 🤩 I think that sometimes people can become out of touch with reality when they are this fortunate, because she makes the comment about how most little girls have an outdoor playhouse . Hahaha, if only that were true 🤷🏻♀
And pony to go with the playhouse.😅
well some of us did have one, and it is a fun time to remember and for a lot that didn't, they still played house
yes I thought the same thing She is very sweet! but I have a hard time even connecting with her necessary needs
Lovely home! Talented designer!
This is the best Homeworthy episode by far.
one of the very best!!! I want to see more of this one!
