- This song is from when Manics were still a pretty noisy, dark and even scary band that dealt with tough but very important subjects. It is, as I see it, a song about power - monetary as well as physical and mental - abuse and lack of empathy for others, To sum it all up in a classical phrase: "Parental advisory - explicit lyrics".

Great job man. One of their best.
Thank you so very much Mike! Glad you feel I did it justice, even though it’s been a few years since I recorded this.
Brilliant cover Ronnie
Thank you so very much James! Glad you like it!
Amazing
Thank you so very much! Real glad you liked it!
Brilliant cover!! Iv worked out most of it (and had s peek at the official chords) 🙂. Well done for getting the lyrical timing in too!! 👍🏽👍🏽
Thank Philip! Real glad you liked it. And yes, the lyrical timing on this one is a bit weird and complicated at times, especially while playing guitar at the same time.
@@RonnieGavelin .. Your welcome Ron, I love The Holy Bible. My favourite record ever. I saw them at Cardiff Astoria 20th October 1994. Richey has rejoined the band/tour by that point. He was Ethereal, almost Ghostly? Keep up the good work buddy. 👍🏽👍🏽
@Philip Noble the 3rd Same here - The Holy Bible is their absolute best (even though I love most of their stuff) and one my favourite albums ever. I’ve seen them live several times, but never with Richey so that makes me a bit envious! My first show was the Everything Must Go tour.
What a cracking cover
Oh - thank you so very much! Real glad you liked it!
awesome cover!
this rocks! More people deserve to hear your music!
RantJamz Thanks again!
good cover!
Thank you Nicolás!
Absolutely fantastic cover, matches the same passion as the original, great work love it 🖤
Thank you so very much! That means a lot. Personally I think my vocals are a bit strained and thin at times since I’ve started going to s vocal coach since I recorded this a few years ago, but over all I’m still pretty pleased with how it turned out.
@@RonnieGavelin it’s honestly a stunning cover, goosebumps all over upon listening and brought me to tears! keep it up I’ll be supporting your future works
Thanks again! Hearing that makes me very glad.
Wonderful job. Great interpretation

Have you done any other manics covers?
No, not yet at least. Might do some more songs of them in the future though.
Thanks very Ronnie, yes I try and do both..
well done, dude
Josué Isidoro Thanks a lot Josué! Glad you like it!
JDB has a great voice, but I feel he often feels disconnected from the lyrics, like he's just saying words in terms of his emphasis.
I think I prefer your voice in this cover, the emotions in the lyrics come through better. You did an amazing job.
Wow, those are really kind words since I also think JDB has a really great voice! I get what you mean about him feeling a bit disconnected though and am really glad you think the emotions come through in my version since that’s exactly what U was trying to accomplish!
this is superb!
I'm trying to learn this on acoustic too , what chords do you play instead of repeating the lead intro?
Thanks Scott! Really appreciate that!
In the first part of the verse the chords are E and Asus2. Then when the main riff ensues (and when it is played between chorus and verse) it actually sounds more complicated than it is: you simply play the regular riff but also pluck the string above the one you’re fretting and let it resonate open.
