Welcome Back! Before anything else, I'm a writer. What do I get from your videos? Do I get the 6 figure contracts? No, Do I get the 20 offers in my inbox? No Do I get the non-stop writing by the sea on my high-end lap top, clients? No. I get real, honest-to-goodness advice, about copywriting, working from home and the will to keep going! You motivate in your own unique way. There is no other Jackie Pearce and we wouldn't want you any other way. We follow you because we relate to you. Nothing, in this world can replace that fact and your career choice won't stop us from relating to you. I watched your video this morning, shaking my head yes, screaming I KNOW, RIGHT? and laughing in anxiety ridden relief. I needed this video this morning. I was having a meltdown last night about my new chosen career path. (Don't ask I won't tell) But suffice it to say I was questioning my work-from-home gig last night. Thank you for reminding me how lucky I am. Enjoy your day, thanks to you I know I will!
Thank you for this comment, Linda! This was beyond appreciated, and it feels so good to know other people relate and understand! Working remote is such a good option!
I remember a mentor recommended me to look into sales & copywriting back in the summer of ‘22 as a right fit for me to change careers. I found your channel, & saved your playlist if I ever wanted to come back to it. A year & half later I did & wow, I’ve matured an adequate amount since then, regarding being in sales & looking into freelance copywriting. Also, they’re SO many clout chasing copywriting gurus out there that make it seem in 90 days, you can make 10k a month. It’s all so sleazy. Your content is a breath of fresh air. Straight, simple, to the point, authentic, & ethical. Happy to have found your channel, & taking notes on your content.
I'm new to your channel, and this was the first video on my FYP so what a hell of an introduction 😂Also, I lost my retainer client who was 85% of my income last month, and I had a moment where I thought, "Yeah, I could just rage quit everything right now." Turns out, it was just burned out and I needed a break because being a single mom and dealing with a bunch of shit was too much 🫠 Except my break was getting in a near-fatal car crash that forced me to slow down and process all the grief from personal life stuff that happened this year. I've been freelance writing + doing strategy work since 2008, and I needed a little time-out too. I could never go back to "real work" either because I'm so used to doing my own thing and I could never deal with how inefficient companies are. I'm glad to hear you're on the up and up! Things got better for me in the last week, too, and I've been recording workshops too. I'm super excited to find you, so I'm obviously going to binge watch all your videos now!
Oh my! What a hell of an introduction on my end! Reading your situation sounds exactly like what I’ve been going through! Minus being a single mom, that’s an extra layer of responsibility I cannot even imagine! I’m so glad to hear you’re on the up and up as well! Welcome to the channel and please stay in touch!
@@jpearce30 Introvert calling out to another Introvert from the planet Introvertness. Overcoming putting oneself out there has been difficult due to looking at ancient civilisations and documenting my findings, which is a bubble I feel safe in. My quest is to become a Copywriter so I can step away from that which alters my vibration, people. Will your new course help me to see the possibility of such a journey? Jackie Pearce, you are my only hope, Jackie Pearce, you are my only hope. Signal lost. beeeeeeeeep
Girl, no way! I totally feel you, I've been on the same rollercoaster! Kept thinking about switching up my career, did it a couple of times. Every time I bounced back, either by talking about the industry when I meet people or dropping a dope business idea that dragged me back into the social media marketing game. 2022 was good for the career and the bank account, but mentally, it was a mess. Worst year of my 28 years on this planet, no cap, haha. And then, bam! Feb 1st, 2023 hits, and I lose all my high-paying clients one by one. Talk about a setback! But check it, now I'm back on my grind. Found the real meaning of life, stumbled upon it unintentionally. Realized how spoiled I was when I used to hate freelancing, even though I was pulling in triple the cash of a regular 9-to-5 from the comfort of my crib. Crazy how losing those clients was a blessing in disguise 'cause I was lowkey depressed and not feeling the work vibe like I used to. Life's wild!
You described my last year exactly! I’m so glad to hear things are getting better for you, too! It’s nice to take a step back, re-evaluate, and then figure out the next steps! Keep me posted on how it goes for you in the future!
I read your comment right away, but I waited until now to respond with something real. So, guess what? I'm in the middle of creating my own training course-two versions: one for small businesses and another for freelancers! It's a bit tricky, and sometimes I get a little nervous. But I've been dreaming about this for ages, and now I'm making it happen, step by step. Why did I finally decide to do this? By chance, I took an onsite course that's not cheap at all with someone famous in my location and got surprised. They made basic stuff sound like pure magic, and people loved it. Meanwhile, here I am, feeling unsure and holding back on what I love. Don't know why I'm spilling this, but your videos feel like you're in my head. I play them while I'm working, as I work alone for hours that are not short, and it's like hanging out with friends. It's been a while, not only this year; I'm an old follower. Just wanted you to know that you're inspiring someone on the other side of the earth. 🌍
Dam Jackie, the past 12-14 months were rough on me as well. Had a few "life changing" contracts almost happen but eventually fell through (back to back). That just enhanced my ongoing feelings of imposter syndrome ontop of this feeling more like a job than a business... It was good though as it helped to shift my perspective and focus into starting a newsletter. Would love to connect sometime again and yes - I've fell too deep in love with remote work lifestyle to quit Copywriting (as I'm typing this as 3.37am 😂) glad to see you back ❤❤
But also some storage units probably have more square footage than my apartment in the city haha! Nothing is worse than life-changing contracts falling through! I know the feeling all too well! Let's please catch up soon! You know I love to chat!
I love your rambling haha. I'm currently working full-time (remotely), with people I admire, and that's awesome. The work does involve some copywriting skills, but it's more sales-oriented and I guess I did quit copywriting for a bit. Now I just take one-off projects through networking, cuz I can't be bothered sending proposals and applications at the moment. But at some point, I probably will go back to it, because I am quite good at it considering the clients I've managed to convince to give me a chance lol
Jackie!! is the discord ON? is there a secret group there talking about copy? I'm just curious cause I can't get in. LOVE your content don't go anywhere, please.
I think taking a break like that can also be about proving to yourself that you're in control of your life. "See, I can quit if I want to. I'm not stuck." Ironically, for me, copywriting was my break. After 8 years of game design I needed to know I wasn't stuck. I studied and studied copy, took courses, did a couple jobs, then started making a lot more money and found a better company in game design and settled. But it is an amazing skill that improved my communication so much, and I don't regret my wandering. Should be taught in every high school.
The worst part about not being remote anymore for me (job went overseas) is having to deal with being around other people and some are not so nice to be around, and you're stuck with those types because they seem to be in every sector.
That is literally my #2 reason of why offices are hard for me! I'm not good at the office politics, the games, and the overall bad attitudes of some people.

Hi, I'm a newbie trying to get into copywriting. what will you suggest me? Do you see good future of copywriting or shall I go for web development? (I've started any projects yet)
Hi Jackie, I’m glad you’re doing better. My biggest issue right now is dealing with imposter syndrome and whether I’m competent enough to do the work
If it makes you feel any better, some days I wonder if I'm good enough, too. Even after a decade of work!
@@jpearce30 Thanks, it does help knowing I’m not the only one
We love you Jackie❤️🔥 don't scare me like that, glad you're okayyy.
I appreciate this video, you are not alone, I relate so much to this, thank you

It's time to build your own empire Jackie. You got it!
