Andy is the most underrated actor in the history of earth
He still looks the same after so many years, and seems to be such a nice, humble guy!
He is the goat. I love him.
Yessss! He doesn’t age!!! WTF!!??
I enjoyed every moment of TOWL. After all Rick and Michonne are two of my favorite characters from TWD. I love their love and their survival skills. Powerful characters. ❤🔥🌸
TOWL is an epic love story in the apocalypse of two strong warriors that are made stronger bc of their love for each other and their family. Each episode felt like a different movie/vibe which I loved, with each episode being a piece of a whole journey of one man and one woman finding each other again and trying to get home to their kids. Episode 4 is one of the best episodes of the entire Walking Dead universe, beautifully written and perfectly acted by two of the best actors we have working today.
👏 👏 👏 you said all that needed saying!!!
Ok
I have been team Andy since episode 1. I was hooked after episode one and was absolutely blown away by his character and then to learn that he was a British actor was even more remarkable and rewarding! Thank you Andrew Lincoln for giving your fans the best of Rick Grimes, from start to finish!! You deserve many awards! Definitely!!!!❤️
I have always been team Andy as well! Such an amazing, talented actor! He surely deserves many awards! He is the perfect Rick Grimes! A fierce, kind, strong, vulnerable leader and absolutely insanely sexy!
TOWL was brilliant and a masterclass in acting, writing, and directing. 10/10 no notes. Hoping for a season 2!!!
TOWL was so good, and seeing Richonne together again was all I wanted!!!
Truly amazing spin off (all 3 of them). It isnt lost on us that Andrew and Danai were both executive producers of the spin off and it really shows how much love they have for their characters and the story. The walking dead will be truly missed but the spin off gave us the goodbye we all needed after all these years. ❤❤❤
Andrew is truly underrated talent. He needs to play in more acting roles of any kind, anything at all!
I love lincolns real voice! My brain just can't believe that THAT voice is his voice
That he's British!!!, have you ever seen a show called Teachers or any of his movies, yes he is from the UK hard to believe I know
@@nderohan Here in England, having first seen him in This Life in the early 90s, we found it really weird to hear him talking Georgia!!!!! :D
@@terrytyler2652 yes that's where I first saw him that and then teachers!
Will forever be a fan of the show and this man. What a legend
I don't get why some people still don't understand that this spinoff is about the love story of two characters so basically the main plot is romance.
I get that, but I and many others were hoping for a lot more from the CRM. Like they’ve been building up this villain for several years and they just got defeated with far too little effort. But yeah I agree the romance stuff was good
@@thomasmacmullan I get your point but since the beginning they have been saying that the story is about romance and secondary the CRM. They were clear about it.
@@by_luly I didn’t really watch the interviews so I had no idea what they were clear on
@@thomasmacmullanwell not watching the interviews, that’s on you, this spinoff was ALWAYS about Rick and Michonne finding each other again and going home to their children not about the CRM and their people
@@cleogriffith9921 how is it on me I merely interpreted the product that was presented to me? If they wanted to emphasize that it was about Rick and Michonne and not the CRM, they should’ve made that clear in the show.
This man is a jewel!!!
I have been a fan of andrew lincolns work since the mid 90s he was the reason I started watching twd it would be great if there was a season 2 of the ones who live but I'm looking forward to see his next project back on british tv
I just finished watching the ones who live. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to the other spin-offs when they become available in the UK.
They all are the other two are coming to now tv later in the year
I love the concept of the walking dead. The emotions and relationships between the characters are what's amazing!!
It absolutely was about character. Pick a plot any plot n it still was the background story to the truth of it all: who are we as humans when ish hits the fan. Great interview! Happy for our friends across the pond to enjoy this with us ❤
It's been nice knowing you Rick 😢
I hope they do something next with Rick
Aw. Seeing Andy again is amazing! I love him so much as a human. He's THE ONLY Rick Grimes for me. Would love to see him paired up with the upcoming Joseph Quinn in something.
God!!!He is so beautiful!! His face is art!
I still can't believe he is SO ENGLISH ❤
I loved it and ready to see more
Ricky Dicky Doo Daa Grimes
Andy is such a humble guy and will forever be badass Rick Grimes
For me it’s his characters masculinity everyone loves a male hero who can take charge with a good heart.
They are just now doing this? I thought this meant a season 2!
Literally me
Ep 1 was fantastic. It was just what the fans wanted. It made sense and it was deep and unexpected and had amazing believable acting.
Then ep 2 was alright it wasn't anything too too crazy and it was still enjoyable. Ep 3 4 snd 5 were just breaking every limit of my suspended disbelief and made me feel like i was watching huge potential being wasted. Exept the scenes with rick and michone in the building. Then ep 6 just absolutely pissed me off with the plot armour of Rick and michone.
They were just superheroes and everything was just convenient for them and the show made no sense.
The huge built up for the crm wasted in the blink of an eye.
Making the hole thing meaningless
Never say never ❤❤❤❤
Sooo...hope to see you Rick Grimes again ❤
why is he so freaking handsome
Yes! Such a gorgeous man! Beautiful face, skin, lips and those eyes! 🥵.
The accent got me
Please, someone make a suggestion to Mr. Lincoln and Mrs. Gurira, to make a season 2 of The Ones who live in which they make Negan pay for having killed Glen and Abraham.
Negan is a loose end, and Rick told Negan that he would kill him. (Season 7, Episode 1)
Mr. Grime, kill Negan with his dearly beloved Lucile!💀💀
Please! 🙏🙏🙏
WE GOT A BIBLE REFERENCE FROM ANDREW LINCOIN!!! WE GOT A BIBLE REFERENCE FROM ANDREW LINCOOOOOIIIINNN!!!!!!
IKR YESSS
I wonder if he got that from Danai, she uses Bible references often. I know she did during her recent Kelly Clarkson interview. Either way, I love that he mentioned that!
@Stephmonique Good point! 👍 maybe she is teaching him about the bible which is just awesome 😊
@@Christiansstillstruggleyes 🙏♥️🙌🏼
Darly Dixon seson 2 coming on Sunday
On a plus side he kept his hair so that may indicate something
God he is fine
He really is! He also doesn’t age much! Such a gorgeous face !
But the grey suits you Andrew x❤❤
❤❤❤
Bro how did he change accents
Look, its Rick the brick
I thought TWD was really great for the first three series, then it became a slaughter of humans fest, even though they "didn't kill living people"
That awful FTWD was marred by excessive killing of humans, when it was about zombies.
Good to hear Andrew's real voice, though I knew he was a Brit.
True just dont though out rubbish stories for the sack of it
Can't wait for Maggie and Negan to come back along with Rick, and for him to see Negan and then kill him once and for all!
Why would he kill him after he saved his daughter's life and so many other people that he loves dearly? Negan has been redeemed, through and through...there's no need for Rick to kill him.
It doesn't matter how many people he saved or helped, he can't undo the horrible things he's done, (and I'm not even talking about Glenn alone). I don't even understand why the writers made his character walk around the others in Alexandria doing crops like he did nothing wrong, but he has to go.
@aimd2875 Well, that's not going to happen...not by Rick's hand anyway. If anything, he'll go out sacrificing himself for Hershel or Maggie.
And it does matter how many (and who) people he's saved...it matters immensely.
I agree with half your comment, because it also matters the torment he caused them. His redemption happened because the writers wanted it that way, also for how charismatic JDM is, now Negan has fans, and i get you're one of them, but that doesn't mean his good actions now are gonna pay off the amount of torture he caused in the pass, it just doesn't, and it doesn't matter how much he tries.
@@efffin3587 I'm not a huge Negan fan, actually. I do like him, and I've enjoyed his redemption arc, but he's not even in my top 10 favorite characters from TWD. I just think he's paid for the bad he's done and Rick isn't gonna want to kill him. For one thing, it would totally disrespect Carl's last wishes and the vision he had for the future. That's why Rick didn't want to kill him in the first place, at the end of the savior war. But, since then, he's spent 8 years in prison, he saved Judith's life, Daryl's, Aaron's, Lydia's, Hershel's, he infiltrated an enemy group and killed their leader, then he helped Daryl kill their 2nd in command and fought in the whisperer war, helping to bring that to an end, and also doing pretty much the same thing at the Commonwealth. So, Rick isn't gonna want to kill him after all that.
The last episode of TOWL was a mess.
It was good until the Thorne fight , the reunion with Judith and RJ made up for the "Love doesn't die." gimplespeak imo.
@@FreaksayTWD wat to rushed. DESTROYING ALL THOSE soldiers like that was BS AF
A little disappointed. The show turned in last episodes into something cringe . I loved the first two ep and then it went down. I hope if there's another season that focuses on the story of the show , it's Twd not the Disney land .
It was always presented as a love story above all else. Andrew Lincoln said it. Danai Gurira said it. Scott Gimple said it. AMC CEO said it. AMC promotion for the show said it. The most critical point the show got right was the relationship between Rick and Michonne, and their strong bond, and that’s the most important thing. And having a happy ending for two characters who have suffered and had to endure traumatic event after traumatic event ever since the start of the zombie apocalypse deserve a happy ending - that doesn’t make it “Disneyland”. TWD started with a man trying to get back to his family, and it ended with him finding his family.
👏👏👏👏
@@Terriblegam2rexactly!!!
@@Terriblegam2r well I don’t mind love story, what’s your point?😅i like love story , but it shouldn’t be cringe
@@user-ik2gh9wm8d is the “cringe” with us in the room rn
I love Danai but sometimes an actor shouldn't write because there is a conflict of interest, all she wrote was copying the Bridgeton story and adding sex scenes, we can make it love story without unnecessary OnlyFans scenes, they deleted a lot of scenes for the new characters in order to adding unnecessary sex scenes, it's only six episodes, give us a good story ,but I'm glad Andrew said in his other interview that if there was a chance to return, he wanted it to be more horror as the first season
Danai has portrayed Michonne for 12 years. I’m pretty sure she knows her character better than any of us. It’s not a “conflict of interest” when the person who portrays Michonne writes for Michonne and for the other character who belong in the same universe as her character. Danai is also an accomplished writer and play-write (who has had several of her plays on Broadway and has won awards for them), so suffice to say she knows how to write and do it pretty well (and has every right to explore her successful writing abilities for the character she has portrayed for over a decade). The high critical acclaim for the episode she wrote in TOWL proves just that.
Andy, Danai, Scott and AMC CEO have all told us what this show is about and it’s about the love that Rick and Michonne have for each other, so it was to be expected that there would be a sex scene to showcase and explore that. There’s nothing wrong with sex scenes in a romance setting (but something tells me you don’t complain about sex scene in other shows) and referring to it as “OnlyFans” is really obtuse. Again, this show is about a love story so people shouldn’t be surprised that sex is involved in romantic relationships. The sex scene also showcased Rick’s trauma (i.e panic attack). Danai said that she didn’t just want to add a sex scene with no meaning, she also wanted the audience to see how much Rick has suffered while being separated from his family for so long and she accomplished that in a brilliant way.
Andrew has also said that he doesn’t want to continue Rick’s story without Danai and Scott, and that he would love to portray Rick if Danai wrote more story for their characters, so don’t expect for Michonne to not play an important part in Rick’s story going forward. And there’s no way you know what the deleted scenes are since the show hasn’t come out on DVD yet.
She did not copy it, she wanted Andy and Scott to get the push and pull of an argument and she used the Bridgerton dialogue so that they understood. TWDU has always deleted scenes, this is nothing new. And the deleted scenes were not that many. Andy wanted it to go back to basics, that has more to do with surviving and any new series not playing it safe. Since both Rick and Michonne are at their best under these conditions. For S1 they have produced one of the best series of all the TWDU shows, therefore, they did get it right.
However right now I am sure they are bouncing around ideas that will best serve Rick and Michonne, and bring out their best skills, and any new villains they come across. The Ones Who Live S1 is done and dusted. No one is in any doubt about the love they feel for each other. Now it is time to move on to pastures new. Therefore, for Scott, Danai and Andy, they will be looking at new situations to but Rick and Michonne in, while keeping everything basic will keep the cost of production low, but give the same quality they achieved in S1. Writing wise, horror and drama wise.
Do you know what the other interview was called where Andrew mentioned wanting to make it more like horror? Would like to check that out
Actually Danai is an award winning playwright,a broadway icon, she writes for a living 💀
LOL meh, she just wanted to get with him.🤣
