Micheal James Shaw (Mercer) said he wants to work with Andrew Lincoln, that would be cool if that’s true. Mercer to take over as the new leader of the new CRM military would be so cool, a few months ago he said he wants to play Mercer again.
I was hoping to see a Mercer & Princess spin-off with cameos of Eugene, Yumiko...

If they were to go ‘back to basics’ with the more simpler survival horror theme the show used to have then imagine finding a way to make the walkers the scary again. The variant walkers making their way to America somehow and having these hyperactive zombies running around would be entertaining and scary.
The season finale of the main show had the walkers starting to climb the gates, I definitely think we would see the walkers become more of a threat as the show would definitely go down that route more. I haven't watched dead city of daryl Dixon to see the variants, but yeah walkers being the main threat would be back to the first few seasons before we started seeing villains like negan, the governer or the commonwealth

YES, YES, AND YES!!! We definitely do need to go back to the survival horror the series used to have back from season 1 - 4 when it was dark and gritty

I’d love to see them on the move again…I love when they are moving around and struggling to survive and run into different groups and individuals and see how the apocalypse changes people.

I've read the graphic novels/comics way before the series was on TV and I remember meeting Princess in the novels then Mercer and I love the actors that played them and would love to see them again, especially with the whole group back together and Rick, Negan, Daryl, Aaron, Gabriel, and definitely Morgan and them. Damn would that be the best way to bring this decade plus years of commitment to a TV show worth all the time involved with these characters ❤️💯💯

Nah it was extremely disappointing

They have the CR and the Commonwealth on their side so I think if you want to go back to basics without doing some Beale spies story, is to bring it back to king county/atlanta as Rick and Michonne work to expand out there and there is a new threat out there, and since that area was the first place we saw variant walkers that could be incorporated so well as well, and you could also incorporate Morgan’s return so smoothly. That would give it a classic walking dead feeling, it’s like the perfect story falling straight into your lap.
Smart bringing it back to basics, don't want it getting out of hand like the Fast and Furious movies.
I loved seeing Mr. Grimes again. He was always my favorite and i lost interest after his departure. If only they could make a series with Glenn or Abe
Definitely can see them continuing with the series. I don't think the CRM story line will be over anytime soon. I think the ending of ones who live is just the beginning.

I am still hyped to see Daryl's show to continue as well, but we all know Rick's story will always be the main attraction.
All of us want more of Rick grimes... But i think that his story is done ... He was looking for his family he found them they are safe it's over ... And many times he said i had to film the ones who live to end the story

Rick and Michonne only took out maybe less than 15% of the CRM. They didn’t take out the entire CRM. I think you probably meant the threat though.

Back to the basics is probably the best things they could do.
To make it back to survival game again. Upscale the Zombies. Make them higher up Variant Zombies. Make them run. Break windows with Rocks. Climb walls. Make them very dangerous. Communities fall.

Rick is still a valuable leader that the CRM could use as well as the civic Republic maybe you should help them establish communities all over the country. The same way Padre was planning on doing when fear The Walking Dead Madison the group took over the place and got rid of the siblings, running it, because maybe with help they could bring civilization more effectively by setting up facilities and other states plus they could use the walkers to bring back to the cities
Season 2 and what was said about making 1_4 would be great. But if that doesn't happen, what about a series were Rick dreamed everything in like a 12 year coma, then wakes, Lori and Shane are married, Daryl and Merle rob a bank, Rick catches them and Mich defends them, and it just goes like that till everyone is back. Then Rick's coma dream becomes real. There is so much that could be Done. Like Rosita going to church were Gab is, and meets Ab etc. Just a thought

Thank you for your analysis. I especially appreciated how you warmed TWD about going too far overboard. I’ve been following TWD since it began and have loved it since the beginning. I started with True Blood, too. Loved the first season, but then it just got more and more ridiculous. TWD has been awesome the whole time. Really liking that Andrew was talking about returning to the ground-level human horror from the beginning.
Could a strip back down to basics mean the collapse of commonwealth? Either that or rick can't acclimate there and does a carol 😂

I wonder If it will be a season, 12 or if they will just continue, the ones who live, Seeing all the characters, reunite, and see him again, would be amazing. I hope they show Rick and Mercer trying to gain leadership of the CRM, and taking down the huge horde of walkers General beale mentioned They could probably deal with this pretty early on, and then the rest of the season is taking out any remaining ones and also taking in any survivors and discovering new smaller communities and also bringing them in to create a new society and a few issues here and there along the way

Even though Daryl Dixon introduced more variants, we got to see just a few in s11.
It will def be the variants destroying all we last saw and our favs learning survival all over again.

I love the idea of going back to the basics. If they can recapture the vibes of TWD season 1-2 I’d love it.
I don’t know who they made The ones who live for?!? but the OG fans want the dark, brutal ,survival, horror we all fell in love with in the earlier seasons! I’m all for characters being put into bad situations again but like in Daryl’s show he’s survived so long and has gotten harder tougher, and smarter just to make a stupid decision to put him in a bad spot. Just do it with better writing! The writing has been so bad for years now and it’s ruining my love for this once Great show. Keep wokeness and politics on both sides out of it! Idk if they did this new Rick Show right it could be the best content TWD has ever put out! It all comes down to the writing and the characters to me!

Unpopular opinion incoming: I'm infinitely more interested in seeing Rick and Daryl reunite than what we got in season 1 of The Ones Who Live. It felt MORE like Michonne’s story than it did Rick’s.

I was thinking the same thing about Rick and gang somehow making their way to Daryl and actually filming over there….that way Rick is closer to his real life family for filming..since he left the show years ago because he was too far from his fam. Who knows though.
After the lazy disaster known as “the ones who live” who honestly cares. The showrunners stopped trying and the writers have absolutely no material to work with anymore. It’s over. The show is awful.

Hopefully they lose the shakespearian dialogue or the "gimple speak". Dead City and Daryl Dixon have better dialogue imo.
Let’s be real. Most fans don’t want those compromising situations because the last time we seen them in that truly compromising situation a lot of people were upset and said it wasn’t a good story arc!! I.E. The Saviors/all out war. Now for me personally I’m with it because I think that’s hands down one of the best arcs of the entire show!!!

Geez I wonder where everyone got the idea of Mercer taking over the CRM? It's not like I wasn't plastering it all over these message boards the very second General Beale said his sword was from a revolutionary war general named Mercer. But, nooooo. Everyone just laughed, and either misunderstood thinking I thought wrongly that the sword belonged to Mercer from the show, or they simply sat bug eyed at the question like they had no idea who Mercer was. Or simply made no connection between the 2. It's like why the fuck would Beale have a sword from a revolutionary war general named Mercer unless they were Making a nod, or foreshadowing something with the character Mercer. Why out of all the revolutionary war generals who all had swords would they have chosen one named Mercer if they weren't making a nod or foreshadowing by doing that. On all of the message boards on all the TH-cam channels not once did anyone on any of them mention the correlation, or the idea of Mercer taking over the CRM... Except for me. Now I've seen several people mention it on several different channels, and message boards like they were the first to notice this.
