A jellyfish farm is kinda useless if you have max fishing power, you can just buy torches or lightsticks from the merchant. A good thing to do as well is make a 4-block-wide tunnel that divides your entire world into two horizontally, I recommend doing two of those (one above the jungle temple and another below). It takes a lot of time if you dont have mining gear and accessories, so you might want to skip it if you find it too time consuming. You can easily get stone if you build up a gemtree farm, so no need to waste money with planter boxes to use as platforms. I recommend doing amber since it is a material to craft fishing potion (I guess), and also, if you have fossil armor, you can get infinite sand and make amber glass walls to sell, they go for quite a nice amount and it is basically an infinite money farm, tho most part of it you'll be afk since it takes some time to get that many sand blocks (theres a video of it, you can check it if you're interested). If you're going as a mage, it is also good to flat out a wide part of your dungeon to make it easier to farm mobs for ectoplasm when you defeat Plantera. It is crucial that you protect your jungle from corruption, crimson, or hallow, since you need it to fight Plantera later on, so isolate your jungle by making a hellevator in each side of the biome and a tunnel below connecting the two just in case. Having max fishing power is troublesome but very rewarding when it comes to an easy way to get platinum coins by opening crates and selling its items to the merchant, it is one of the things I prioritize the most. A sky bridge is great to farm falling stars if you ever want to use the star weapon, but other than that it is pretty useless until Moon Lord (when you replace the blocks to asfalt for more movement speed), so it is better to just build a teleporter hub. If you ever, and I MEAN IT, ever find a imp statue, do NOT throw it away as it will save you a lot of time if you want to farm for an obsidian rose for terraspark boots. As in regard of statues, the heart statue is also pretty useful as it can give you free health during boss fights, I mostly use it for Duke since I like to do him pre-merch bosses if I'm a mage or summoner. This one I forgot, but if you fight the wall of flesh on the jungle side you might have a chance of the corruption to spread to that side, if you do it on the other side it might be hallow. Either is bad but hallow is better since it doesnt have too many dangerous mobs like the corruption or crimson. Making sure to have different loadouts is also nice, I like to go with the following: First Loadout (Class that I'm going with), Second Loadout (Fishing), Third Loadout (Mining). This is basically preference, so no need to take it seriously.
It's not just the Nurse and Arms Dealer. Any two NPCs who "like" each other will sell the Pylon for that biome if they are living together. Also, any _three_ NPCs living together will cause the surrounding area to be considered a "village," which will cause most enemy spawns to be replaced with critters. For village creation purposes, all pets and Town Slimes count as NPCs, so the easiest way to set up a base is two compatible NPCs + one pet animal or slime in every biome. I also like to set up a base on top of the aether, both so you can quickly teleport to it, and so enemies stop harassing you while you're trying to use it.

evil biome I was already doing most of this EXCEPT mining the holes surrounding my crimson biomes, which would prevent spread. Great idea And the mechanic for teleporters. Those were 2 great ideas. Only thing I would add would be the Gem farm. Find gems combine them with acorns to make a gemcorns, and farm gems and stone blocks. you can use the gems for money and crafting items. I farm a few of each but most of my farms are amber and diamond, because those are worth a lot. That would be the only thing I could think of doing before hardmode great video and great ideas, I hope you found the gemcorn idea to be good too
Build the mushroom base above your evil biome so you basically have a pylon for that. Also, I believe the glowing mushroom quest fish works on the surface too.
It doesn't matter what seeds you plant in the planter boxes since the boxes are just for aesthetic. Also I think some herbs can only grow in their respective biome like the deathweed
@@Mr.HaterJaquavius Well, the planters aren't Just for aesthetic. The boxes themselves act as a grassy-dirt/stone/ash/snow/sand block that behaves like a stationary platform. But you would be correct if you meant to say that the Different Types of Planters themselves don't matter for anything except aesthetic (as each type of seed can still be planted in All Varieties of Planters). Also you're incorrect about herbs Only growing in their respective biomes. Every single herb can grow Just About Anywhere, IF using a planter-box. It's just that certain herbs like Deathweed, Fireblossom, and Shiverthorn will Bloom more often IF near corrupt/crimson, lava, and snow/ice respectively. But outside of those biomes & away from those blocks, Deathweed will bloom during the Night of a Full Moon (and during a Blood Moon), and Fireblossom will bloom during the hours of Dusk/Sundown on most days, and Shiverthorn will bloom randomly & intermittently (If I recall).
unless you're playing on a large world, don't even think about building sky bridge using blocks instead use platforms or planter boxes otherwise it would be so annoying that when my friend did it I felt like punching him to death. note that this is especially true if you're playing Calamity because you'll need to fly really high and move around a lot against bosses and the blocks will get in your way, but platforms in the other hand will help you a lot.
One way to make building a skybridge easier, BTW, would be to use minecart tracks, especially since it's a good idea to place them anyway. You can hop in a minecart and set the speed just right (with or without using a builder potion) and simply hold the button down to place whatever block you're using 👍
I was too lazy to build a teleporter hub and now I am at the luna Tower event. The reason why I didn't build the tp hub was because I was grinding for the shellphone, which I got the second I got into hardmode

@@reddeadchris1250 yo i play pc if ur down to play idk if ur still on phone but im currently beating a master mode world this is how friendships start right
I for one don't. Planters are more costly. Also, without planted herb-seeds they exclusively grow those flowers/weeds, which (while pretty) could potentially interfere with quality visibility at times (due to the chaotic contrast of colors & shapes) and that's not something I'd like during a boss fight. Plus, with as many platforms as I use for arenas... there's no way in a million years that I'd ever genuinely Need or actually Use that many herbs, though I suppose it might look nice to just use excess seeds of a single type for the hell of it, lol.
Yes, you can dig those huge holes around your main base to stop spread of bad biomes... And when Wall of Flash dies, it will spread those evil biomes in V shape and your base chunck will still be infected :/
Thats true, i mainly said that tip to stop it from spreading before hard mode, as ive had it take up a large portion of my world by the time i got to the wall of flesh
I have played Terraria since launch. I've always rushed into Hardmode, Every.... Time... This run, after about a year of not playing, I am taking my time with master mode. I have 42 hours so far, and I haven't even taken on Skeletron yet. I am focused on building and full completion this time. It's a great change! I always took Pre-Hardmode for granted, and there's so much more to do than I have thought!
You can seal your invasion farm and have actuators on the seal so you can close and open the farm. Just so you can’t hurt NPCs. I’d also put Hellstone at the bottom of the invasion farm, with or without the lava, to deal more damage
Before 1.4, I had to make a massive stone wall tunnel system to divide a lot of the underground parts just before the bottom area. I hope someday, I'll go back and finish it before I slay the wall of flesh.
personally i feel that the teleporter hub is more work than it's worth, maybe unless you're playing on a large world. the added mobility and mining speed you get in hardmode and the pylons + shells is enough for 99% of cases. what i do bother doing usually is building a minecart track horizontally through my entire world midway through using the molecart. it's mostly unattended time, since i use summons, bind my mouse to my spacebar and put weights on that and the forward key, and go eat a snack or something. it makes getting to the underground jungle, hallow, and evil MUCH faster and also helps with evil biome containment once you start clentaminating. only thing you gotta do is make sure you make it either right above or right below the lizhard temple.
Honestly fairly solid tips before entering hard mode, especially if you're new to the game. i will say though, for experienced players, the Sky Bridge is fairly useless unless you're farming stars. It's the same with the Jungle farm, I can understand the Lifefruit point, but it really doesn't take that long to find lifefruits. A better tip I would substitute is making an underground Jungle arena, and at the very bottom of the arena have a mini Jungle farm for Plantera bulbs. This will make it infinitely easier to find the bulbs, and also easier to fight Plantera in a hardmode underground jungle.
I wish i've seen this video before going into hardmode bc everywherr i go in my world is corruped by the evil biomes, i tried using a potion that allowes me to see the corruption and a clentaminator with green solution but my world remains stuck on 35% both corruption and crimson 😢

I just have so much to learn since I started playing it recently and beat the wall of flesh....alot of these things have been done except the arena, shiny biome, and some others...so lots of work to be done tbh dang...any veteran players??? Wanna join up???
A good tip for making the jungle farm is to use scarab bombs. They will dig a long 3 block tall area and then you can place some blocks and you are good
I made a surface mushroom biome with 5 seeds. Just make sure you use mud and then dont close it up so as the blue mold spreads it spreads to theboutside as well.
I'm on my first play through. I went random evil biome and got crimson. Is the a massive difference between them? I thought just colour and brain of cthulu/EOW?
@@SombreroPharoah The crimson is a little bit more difficult with slightly better stats of the weapons and armour. Also in hardmode you will find a few differences, but apart from that they are similar and don't affect gameplay too much.
In 2020ish, when the 1.4 update came out, they changed it to where the mechanic sells the teleporters instead of the steampunker, meaning you can get them before hardmode
If you make a bridge across the whole world what happens to meteorites coming down. I just started playing Terraria again recently.(modded) Back pre 1.2 if you made a bridge across the world then the meteor would hit the bridge and only like 3 or 4 layers of meteorite would stay on top of the bridge(losing most of it).
the corruption is threatening to overtake my favorite fishin hole but I think the hallow is going to be the EVIL BIOME i'm going to have more trouble with
See, that's the trick. It's technically NOT one biome. Just off screen is the requisite amount of blocks to trigger a change in the background, the background, is your way of telling what biome it is. I don't know the specific number of blocks, and more importantly, the proper configuration you need, but it's either a five or six wide strip of blocks based on the configuration they used here. I have seen one fish farm where it was every three blocks. So, if you have enough of the necessary blocks, you can force a biome change, and then fish for that specific biomes loot table. Better than any of that, search TH-cam for an all biome fish farm. They take some time, because you have to clear up a VERY large area, and then lay down specific blocks, but it's a one stop fishing spot, and if you build it on the line between surface and caves, the difference of which platform allows you to do fishing quests much easier.
Good video Btw could you consider making a video about your top 5 - 10 best mods and maybe also your favourite quality of life mods Anyways have a great day 👍

I was already doing most of this EXCEPT mining the holes surrounding my crimson biomes, which would prevent spread. Great idea
And the mechanic for teleporters.
That would be the only thing I could think of doing before hardmode
great video and great ideas, I hope you found the gemcorn idea to be good too
Build the mushroom base above your evil biome so you basically have a pylon for that.
Also, I believe the glowing mushroom quest fish works on the surface too.
Great tips overall! But for the planter boxes, I believe herbs used for potions only grow after you plant their respective seeds in them
It doesn't matter what seeds you plant in the planter boxes since the boxes are just for aesthetic.
@@TechySeven I didn't know that, thanks for the information
WHY DOES THIS MAN SOUND AI GENERATED
😂😂
Tru
Yeah man
He doesn’t. I know a LOT more TH-camrs that sound like AI.
@@Gatorboy5678 source: trust me bro
unless you're playing on a large world, don't even think about building sky bridge using blocks instead use platforms or planter boxes
otherwise it would be so annoying that when my friend did it I felt like punching him to death.
note that this is especially true if you're playing Calamity because you'll need to fly really high and move around a lot against bosses and the blocks will get in your way, but platforms in the other hand will help you a lot.
I actually used rails, makes travelling a lot faster
Like gabor said below: rails. I don't know why someone wouldn't use rails. You can make some "way station" safe houses if needed too.
0:38 my tavernkeep spawned LITERALLY ON TOP OF MY BASE AT SPAWN 😂
I was just like oh uh hi lol
One way to make building a skybridge easier, BTW, would be to use minecart tracks, especially since it's a good idea to place them anyway. You can hop in a minecart and set the speed just right (with or without using a builder potion) and simply hold the button down to place whatever block you're using 👍
I was too lazy to build a teleporter hub and now I am at the luna Tower event. The reason why I didn't build the tp hub was because I was grinding for the shellphone, which I got the second I got into hardmode
Evil biome. Great video man. I just got Terraria on my phone just for something to do. I had no clue what I was getting into. This game looks simple the controls are simple yet the game is far from simple
are u good at it yet
Yea I've actually made great progress in my own skills I think. Tho my building skills need more work
@@reddeadchris1250 yo i play pc if ur down to play idk if ur still on phone but im currently beating a master mode world

Most people use planter boxes because they’re easier to place with the smart cursor.
Placing your glowing mushroom biome in your dungeon so you can use a pylon to travel to it is genius.
Evil Biome!
Thabks for the help, I've olayed this game for ages but never really put time into actually figuring out the mechanics lol
This guy loves mushroom lamps like they are going out of style
Me, running a first time solo world, just killed brain for the first time:
Haha, I'm in danger
Yes, you can dig those huge holes around your main base to stop spread of bad biomes... And when Wall of Flash dies, it will spread those evil biomes in V shape and your base chunck will still be infected :/
Thats true, i mainly said that tip to stop it from spreading before hard mode, as ive had it take up a large portion of my world by the time i got to the wall of flesh
@@TerrariaSlime2 sunflowers on both sides are good enough
I will dig a big tunnel on the undergroumd layer of my base so that, if a evil biome spreads in it, I can fix it easely
Always build your base as close to the center of the surface of the world as possible, this will give you time to stop the corruption spread.
I don't have the patience to do any of that
personally i feel that the teleporter hub is more work than it's worth, maybe unless you're playing on a large world.
the added mobility and mining speed you get in hardmode and the pylons + shells is enough for 99% of cases.
what i do bother doing usually is building a minecart track horizontally through my entire world midway through using the molecart. it's mostly unattended time, since i use summons, bind my mouse to my spacebar and put weights on that and the forward key, and go eat a snack or something. it makes getting to the underground jungle, hallow, and evil MUCH faster and also helps with evil biome containment once you start clentaminating. only thing you gotta do is make sure you make it either right above or right below the lizhard temple.
I just got my PC and started playing on Terraria I LOVE TERRARIA. I just have so much to learn since I started playing it recently and beat the wall of flesh....alot of these things have been done except the arena, shiny biome, and some others...so lots of work to be done tbh dang...any veteran players??? Wanna join up???
The scene at the end of the video looks really nice
Thanks for all the tips especially the ones about the "evil biome"
Evil biome ^^
Really cool video!
A good tip for making the jungle farm is to use scarab bombs. They will dig a long 3 block tall area and then you can place some blocks and you are good
Very cool video! I’ll definitely get the mushroom on the overworld before hard mode 😁
I made a surface mushroom biome with 5 seeds. Just make sure you use mud and then dont close it up so as the blue mold spreads it spreads to theboutside as well.
my favorite *evil biome* is corruption
why? crimson is anxiety and i haven't got to hallow
relatable
relatable as heck
I'm on my first play through. I went random evil biome and got crimson. Is the a massive difference between them? I thought just colour and brain of cthulu/EOW?
@@SombreroPharoah The crimson is a little bit more difficult with slightly better stats of the weapons and armour. Also in hardmode you will find a few differences, but apart from that they are similar and don't affect gameplay too much.
im in that boat rn. this video scared me XD
Evil Biome.
The Shimmer tip helps a lot. Thank you!
1:08 right let’s make a teleportation hub out of the teleporter that you can only get after the mech bosses makes perfect sense
In 2020ish, when the 1.4 update came out, they changed it to where the mechanic sells the teleporters instead of the steampunker, meaning you can get them before hardmode
I found the tavernkeep above ground literally outside my door tied up lmao
If you make a bridge across the whole world what happens to meteorites coming down. I just started playing Terraria again recently.(modded) Back pre 1.2 if you made a bridge across the world then the meteor would hit the bridge and only like 3 or 4 layers of meteorite would stay on top of the bridge(losing most of it).
You should also add rails to You're sky bridge for fadter travel, And a added bonus is you can get fallen stars!
So uhhh
Are we gonna talk about wyverns with your lil sky bridge? 😂😂😂😂
why is nobody talking about him fighting a massive fucking gummy bear in intervals
Fr lol
its cracking me up 😭
Destructively Evil Biome 👌🏻
I was more focused on the gummy bear fight then what he was saying, it was to awesome
Does anyone know what the green block is at 1:10?
It's the white brick he uses that's been painted green
Probably sandstone brick
Wait wait wait wait. I know I took a lot of time off of this game but was that A GIANT TEDDY BEAR?😊
Bro seems to like Platinum Bricks :D
Evil biome, also that mushroom biome dungeon tip was amazing fr.
bro is such an advanced wizard that he even uses Modern american magic
the corruption is threatening to overtake my favorite fishin hole but I think the hallow is going to be the EVIL BIOME i'm going to have more trouble with
thanks for the intel on late-prehardmode rotom!
How tf are you supposed to get teleporters before hard mode
(Teleporters are from the steampunker NPC that spawns post mechanical bosses)
No you can buy them from the mechanic as of 1.4.4. They changed it, I know, its confusing.
@@chao-thereal Oh , Thanks for letting me know!
1 evil biome 2 you should also make an under ground mob farm
I’m new at terraria At 2:14 how did u put 5 pylons in 1 biome
Just got this for PS4 super helpful at the beginning thanks.
Evil! BIOME!
Thanks for the video!
Terraria is such a complex and time involved game that sometimes everything just feels pointless
Good stuff! I just wanted to be sure i wasnt massively screwing up before killing the wall 😅
I don't think Bast statues need to be powered on. They just have an aura of defense if you place them.
i believe actuating them has the effect but turning them off will remove the buff
Evil Biome. Thanks for the tips man.
As a newbie, I can confirm I did not follow any of that and tbh that's more fun to figure shit out of the flow
Good video
Btw could you consider making a video about your top 5 - 10 best mods and maybe also your favourite quality of life mods
Anyways have a great day 👍
Damn there’s actually so match to this game I never knew about been a casual player since like 2013 and only ever beat wall of flesh then would leave the game but this the first time I’m actually just playing through fir fun and dmannnn never knew how much was in this
Can you make a video about mech bosses i just get destroyer and am kinda confused on what to do next
So few things. What was that spray gun you had changing all the blocks called? Also was that a mining machine that you were digging down in heading towards underworld?
I combined the fishing farm with the invasion farm, that way its afk proof.
What if you made it to heaven but God said "evil biome"
Ive played the game for 6 years now and i still never prepare agains crimson cause it doesnt matter to me.
Entered hardmode and only then was this video recommended to me. Thanks TH-cam
Me: Kills WoF
Also me: wait im supposed to do stuff before?
2:45 how will I know if it's a hollow biome in pre-hm
Thanks for your helpful tips🥰
Quick question😅
What class should I pick to defeat moonlord?
melee or ranger will be the easiest generally
I am new to the game. Just now I am gearing up for the Wall of Flesh and to be honest I can't understand like 90% of the video. Any videos u recommend?
Dont need to do any of it
Digging holes around the evil biomes is kind of pointless since new giant streaks of hallow and corruption/crimson will appear as soon as you activate hard mode.
Every Vile thing I Like can be explained, Because It takes Only a Moment to Explain
Capitalization is important
funny thing is, when i was looking for ather biome, it wasnt even close to the beach... instead it was way in the underground jungle, next to a granite cave
mk10 seed?
Mine too
@@Михаилплатонов-х4ю nope, regular seed... i put my cavern village next to one of the enterences... which was the left one leading into the caverns outside the jungle while the right side had the underground jungle, and a granite cave
What is the purpose of hooking the Bast statue up to a switch? It gives you the defence bonus anyway, you don't have to turn it on.
Of course this popped up right after I killed Wall of Flesh. smh. Great video tho!
another thing you could do pre hardmode is making a planterarena
Great video evil biome❤
2:42 I have a question I have been thinking should I wait to build this in hardmode because the hollow’s version is the best version because of souls and rod of discord and I play on Xbox so there’s no way to predict where the hollow will spawn because the V is only on pc
can the evil biomes spread through the nature walls like dirt walls or leave walls (the nature walls in the jungle underground, I forgot its name)
What white bricks are you using in your builds? (Like the ones in the fishing farm and sky bridge)
