- Thanks for watching my terraria video! Fishing is one of the many things you are able to do in terraria, but it is surprisingly complex with there being a lot to it. In this video I go over everything you need to know about fishing from the types of liquid you can fish in, all of the ways to boost your fishing power, and everything else there is to know about Terraria's fishing

I absolutely reccomend using a Truffle worm for bait, It gives TONS of weapons that can carry you till endgame ^^

for anyone who doesn't know: the angler earring, angler tackle bag, and lavaproof tackle bag will all stack together to increase your fishing power by 30% should you have all of them equipped

You're missing some of the more recent changes to fishing; most notably, having the tipsy buff, sitting on a toilet, and having the inner tube or flamingo mount all given +5 fishing power now.

do the power stack if i wear the inner tube and mount a flamingo???? another question, do i need to be floating in water for the buff to work or can I be on land , I just need to wear/summon the item???
I would have liked to see a maximized loadout showing total stats and various combinations of temporary boosts (potions, luck etc.).

Using worms and stars you can craft enchanted nightcrawlers that have 35% bait power which is better than the worm
also, worms tend to spawn during rain of right after rain
I've also found Enchanted Nightcrawlers during Meteor Showers too
@@airbendingeagle2358 The worms have been granted cosmic power, fortunately, they are unable to use such power because of their near powerless form.
You know hellstone bug net is able to catch lava critters too! İt is easy to obtain rather than golden net
Ah I totally forgot about that net! I do plan on making a video in the future covering the best set up for fishing, rather than just a general summary of fishing like this video was, so Ill make sure to include this tip in that video

Tip: use fallen stars and worms to get the enchanted night crawlers which give 35% bait power, which is a 10% increase from regular worms which have 25% bait powers.

I don't know, i forget if he included say this after talking about killing ladybug, but touching it will actually increase your luck too. Natural spawn ladybug gives better luck and you can spawn it yourself, although it will reset every time you open the game. And also toss coins in shimmer to increase luck
Luck will not affect your crate loot
Whenever there was a crowd of ladybugs I would just catch them all... oops

my tip when you're on a quest: You'll get the quest fish fairly quickly, but getting to the right location always takes a while. You won't get another quest fish if you've already got it in your inventory. Put it in your piggy bank and keep fishing until you have the quest item 3 times. The quest items repeat, so I've saved my self a lot of fishing trips by having a chest with backup quest fishes that i just give the angler when one of the already finished quest fishes is requested.
On my most recent playthrough, I found the most efficient strategy for bait was just to catch worms and turn them into enchanted nightcrawlers by combining them with fallen stars, then doing the angler quests faithfully. I ended up with plenty of Master or at least Journeyman bait soon enough just doing that.

For quests like the voodoo guide fish where it says "caught in caverns" i know that it must be caught near lava. Regradless of this does the biome have to be the default biome? For example can i catch this fish if im in the hollow biome? Because I have the fishing line and the sitting ducks fishing pole and yet I couldnt catch the fish after fishing for like 10 mins straight.
Most biomes have their on special fish, so if it says caveryns then default cave

The angler gives away the golden fishing rod at 30 completed quests not 50. Also sitting on a toilet increases fishing power by 5% and throwing a golden worm in the shimmer transmutes into a consumable which permanently increases fishing power too

nice video, but next time also add what biomes are the best and what loot we can get from them
it's all depending on what you want to get. ocean and jungle are nice for money, with ocean also giving you reaver and sawtooth shark, which are pretty good early game (though not as good as before the nerf). potions and all mostly rely on specific fish, so just go to those biomes as needed

I like to use master bait after beating the mourning wood
The truffle worm summons duke fishron when use into bait

You miss 2 thing
1. If you sit on toilet it increase fishing power
2. If you are in water with this pink ring it also increase fishing power

I have a question why do I get -54% fishing power in the forest and -64% in the desert?
You need to add more water so that you get no negatives
the problem is probably the water. make sure the water is wide and deep
just as you said crates i fished up my first crate :)
You can also use the Lavaproof Bug Net to catch the Lavaflies, Magma Snails, and Hell Butterflies. Not just the Golden Bug Net

Ive been fishing alot on my master ranged playthrough since master mode is straight up impossible without Wrath/rage, endurance and life force pots
No, well fed and iron plus regen is more than enough for master mode unless you are doing a challenge run

It's a sonar potion, get water leaf and a coral and craft it on a brewing station or place a glass bottle (a placed glass bottle is considered as a crafting station. Hope this helps!

I want to know how to not get attacked while fishing, especially underground and in the Underworld
Well for the underground you would want a summoner item to help you with that, however you would want to be careful if you plan to do the same in the underworld as the summon could accidentally kill a voodoo demon and summoning the wall of flesh while you are fishing although you can quarantine the lava spots that you aren't using to lessen those odds.

Do not use normal worms, you can envhant them with fallen stars for a big boost in bait power

hes using a bobber that he forgot to mention. angler gave me the bobber, which i crafted with 5 fallen stars. theres more options for moss combos with the bobber, so im assuming thats what it is

How do I actually know I’ve submitted my quest for the angler How much time do I have to do the quest
you talk to him once you have the fish he needs, same button you use to get a quest. you have until morning (4:30am) to do the quest, at which point he cycles to a new quest.

whenever you want. you can buy a bug net from the merchant and craft a wooden fishing rod, good for early money. also you can get the reaver shark pickaxe and sawtooth shark chainsaw if you fish in the ocean, which help a lot

Yup! It’s a good strategy
No, you won't it got patched two years ago, however if you can get a good fishing setup in Pre Hardmode you can just fish hard mode crates as soon as you kill the wall of flesh to quickly get the Hardmode ores without worrying about which ones you got from the altars

Very useful video but does anyone know how to get fish names to show up before actually catching them... So when you get a bite, it shows the name of the fish?? I've checked all across the internet, either than or I've been lied to

It just takes a bit of waiting, be sure to have bait.

@@lite_1786 ask angler for quest - go to location and be 100% sure youre on the exact place - fish as long as it takes to get the quest fish - it has a random drop rate so you can get it on first time and on the other hand, fish for minutes and dont get it - personally find more fishing power = faster fishing = faster quest fish
