Every trick in the book is sorely skipped by new fans coming in for the silver scream albums, it's just as fucking good and they made great choices of books to base songs on. I highly recommend Hell in the Hallways
Always have loved this song. It is technically based on the book, not the movie. Of course the movie was also based on the book. It is from their album where all the songs are based on books. This is before Silver Scream. Another great one with a video is Hell in the Hallways which is based on Stephen King's Carrie.
Tess-Timony has some killer lines and Spencer's voice is just fucking beautiful on that one, just piano and heartfelt singing man, the raw emotion, the soaring vocals, I am bass myself but I have been known to blast some high notes, that song is probably their hardest in the entire catalogue off pure range, way up there in the fifth octave on that "he begged and he screamed just like I did" line
Definitely check out the three Official animated lyric videos they did for this album. Very well made and highly engaging animation for lyric videos. Me, Myself, and Hyde, Bloodbath and Beyond, and Enjoy Your Slay.
You guys gotta check out Hell In The Hallways, The Nature Of The Beast, and Me Myself and Hyde next! 3 other insanely good earlier songs! Even older and also absolute bangers to check out are Lets Bury The Hatchet In Your Head, The Coffin Is Moving, The Power In Belief, Proximity Mines In The Complex and Connect The Cuts. There are so many more. Its just worth doong a whole album at a time honestly

You gotta see them live. It's a theatrical performance more than anything. Props, masks, knives, chainsaws, actors/actresses. It's a performance beyond what any other bands performance is. I recommend looking up live footage of a show in your own time.
I think the best part about INK songs is the part that the more you know about the source material, the more you get out of it. Every trick in the book is easily their best album imo. Also the person talking at the actual beginning of the song was an actual exorcism that happened in Germany that was recorded.
Every Trick In The Book has been one of my all-time favorite albums since its release, if y'all don't react to the tracks that aren't singles/don't have music videos, I still highly recommend listening to the rest of the album. "Tess-Timony" in particular is one of my favorite INK songs. And every song on that album is based on a piece of classic literature, so if the titles and lyrics don't give the book away, I also recommend doing a bit of research on which song is tied to which book, if only so the lyrics make more sense. It's truly a phenomenal album... like I love the Silver Scream albums, but personally I think ETITB is the better of this "based on other media" catalog.
See, it's impossible to pick up your fav because every old or new song/mv is incredible and this goes in this cathegory of amazing things played by INK. For the record I didn't like at all The excorcist and the 2 sequels but this mv to me has everything and more.
