I went to see them on the True Power tour with my fiancée. They sang this song and I LOST. MY. FUCKING! MIND!! Brian and NF together have given me so much insight into my own mental health struggles and that line of “I made friends with all my demons” is so important because so often our demons are ourselves. We have to make friends, make peace, with ourselves to really heal. And when Brian says “give me something to believe in or throw me in the deep end, it all feels the same with your eyes closed” hits really deep. I’m a religious person who does believe very deeply but I also recognize that a lot of what I believe can be found in unique ways by jumping into the deep end of something and accepting that reality.
All that to say, Brian might be one of the most important song writers in the world right now and so many people are sleeping on I Prevail. Glad y’all found my favorite song of the decade so far.
Youre first person i know to mention I Prevail and NF in the same sentence. They both strongly focus the ways their mind works and what theyve been going through. Some much imagination with just saying words. They both bring up points i wouldve never thought on my own. Though i love NF more, I Prevail are really powerful and incredible with the art!
Im going to see them in July, and honestly when they play Hurricane I think I'll lose my damn mind, might even get a bit teary eye. Really struggling right now.
It's kind of a trip. I'm related to Eric, and knew these guys from the local scene before they made I Prevail, so it's this... really trippy experience to hear these things being said about people I actually knew. And it really just throws into light how these guys have grown, because they're now being talked about the same way that other massive bands are, and I just... can't wrap my head around the fact that they're just... not the guys I knew back then anymore. Brian's voice is so phenomenally powerful now. Watched the acoustic version of him singing Every time you leave, and just... hearing what he can do with his voice. Seeing how confident Eric is becoming with singing, instead of just screaming... I'm so proud to see these guys doing what they do.
Saw them live 2 weeks ago and they were awesome!!

I saw I Prevail last week in Bristol 02 Academy in the UK, it's a smaller venue but everyone there absolutely loved the band and it sold out (as expected when you go to a gig to see the main band) but some songs really do hit differently when they are singing them live and everyone in the venue is singing with them. Looking forward to seeing them at Download Festival on the Sunday
