I'm about to lose my mother to an aggressive cancer which, cared not at all, about her strength. For so many dealing with illness: God is here. No one knows. We tired.
I lost my beloved , beautiful mother last week to a horrific/unrelenting cancer. God, please grant her a swift, peaceful rise to heaven. (My religion has the soul rising in 40 days.) Grant my family Grace, Peace, and most importantly, Understanding during this time.
One day in Nassau Bahamas, I had arrived to pick up my children from summer camp (basketball). My daughter, then about 5 yrs old wanted me to come out of the car. She took my hand and led me on a longggg walk through plenty children to a man. That man was Brian McKnight. She had no idea who he was. All she knew is that everybody was making a huge deal about him and she figured her Mom needed to meet him too. I could not belieeeeeve whose face I was looking in. All I could do is shake his hand and say: Pleased to meet you Mr Mcknight! My mouth and eyes were wide plop open! My child was just cheesin! I love telling that story:) Mr Mcknight does a lot that people know nothing about.
I lost my mother on March 20, 2024 at 9 p.m. to cancer. I was blessed to be my her side as she took her last breath. I wish her a swift rise to heaven.
My husband could sing just like James Ingram, loved your music, he passed last year, and I have listening to James and remembering my dear Gene. , and I found this video again.
I'm so sorry for your loss, and acknowledge/respect what you are saying. There are SO many under-appreciated, awesome singers. Eternal love and wishes for a swift rise to heaven. Your loved one is no longer in pain. They will be forever in your heart, though that never takes away the pain.

Ive been listening Mr Brian Mcknights music since i was in high school im now 41 his music is the soundtrack to my life...i listen to him in different moods and they help me through the bad times...his voice...arh.no words❤😂🎉
I have loved James Ingram since I first heard him sing "Just Once" , way back in 1981 . I still have such a beautiful and vivid memory of dancing with my then newborn baby , Isabel to that lovely anthem . That precious daughter later went on to become an amazing and talented dancer and choreographer , and is still doing it strong. Maybe, just maybe that song impacted her in some special way . Thank you Brian McNight for this lovely , heartfelt and beautifully sung tribute . You are a very special person to be able to keep James' music alive soooo elegantly. George Lewis, Sr.

My mother died of brain cancer as well. How mortal we all are is sobering to say the least. If it means something to you, embrace it. If you love them, don't leave them wondering. If it matters, don't take it for granted. Live, love, learn...but mostly, love.
I like how he looks just like anyone else making TH-cam videos in their bedroom. He's not wearing anything flashy, just normal hanging out clothes. Not trying to show off all his nice stuff. And I always love seeing people paying respect to the ones that came before them. Today, people are normally all about themselves. Especially the young ones. They are so quick to try to call themselves the GOAT of something.

I was a young security guard outside of the dressing rooms at a concert he was singing back in 2006 and I asked him what other songs he sang lol and he started to sing a portion of that song right in front of me.
Growing up James Ingram’s music soothed my soul and brought me much joy. His voice was one of a kind, he was definitely one of the greats. Brian I appreciate your tribute, you’re very talented.
16 Grammy nominations, no Grammy for Brian. Total, complete injustice. Doesn't make him any less of a major A list talent. Just not fair. And those of us who knew James Ingram (I got his autograph!!!) only through his music shall be eternally grateful for his magnificent voice and talent.
No amount of awards could replace the pride we feel for brian using his talents to bless the world with song. His mother was and is the proudest and he has honoured her well. Respect.

As a kid in the age of 18 i listen to Quincy Jones. The albums he made introduced me to James Ingram and since that period i never stopped listening to this great man. Thank you for beeing such a great part of my musical life.
