Brilliant technologie. In years 2014-15 i worked in Aichelberg in Germany, and have a very good lifetime experience when i watched this machine live at the tunnel begginning point. I worked in the fabric for the tunnelling technologies. I learned so many here for example, the railways installation as a system for producing the stones for tunnel. We are here a very good international team from Slovakia,Hungary,Poland,Austria,Germany,Russia,Ukraine,Italy,Turkey....
You also did not know how to start your tunnel project, since you don't have a starter point, nor do you know how to get a starter shaft. th-cam.com/video/HCDsFIqIfA0/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=HerrenknechtAG Your welcome.
So the tunnel relies on the ground pushing it inward to keep it together? What if there's an earthquake and pulled the ground and tunnel apart then water leak inside the tunnel?
Earthquakes liquify the ground, not necessarily pull apart the ground. It would be more like the tunnel is suddenly inside a soup of sediment, so to speak.
I thought I was getting recommended this because I've been watching Scrap Mechanic (videogame) videos. Now I'm not sure. In any case, I was surprised at how much of this I understood based on my amateur knowledge of geology and mining.
Cutting tools do not play a role in the balance of forces. Once the rotation of the cutting wheel is stopped, and the cutting wheel retracted from the excavation face, the cutting tools can be changed from behind the cutting wheel. This intervention is carried out by an operator. Best regards. Herrenknecht AG
Good afternoon, the TBM usually arrives in a shaft where it is disassembled. Then all components are again lifted to the surface. In other cases, when facing space constraints, some TBM parts or even the complete machine has to be retracted back through the same tunnel until the start shaft. Best regards. Herrenknecht AG
And when they're done a lot of these machines are just turn to the side and buried in a dead-end tunnel! It's not worth taking it apart and sometimes they're pretty worn out by then. Or do they? Graft a Surplus nuclear submarine on the end of it and go where you want
Good afternoon. The geology along the tunnel project is usually thoroughly analyzed and drilling campaigns are undertaken before the project starts. This enables to evaluate any potential danger. The cavities are one of them amongst other like water pressure, gases, rock abrasiveness, and so on. Then TBMs are designed according to the properties of the geologies they could encounter. Best regards, Herrenknecht AG
@@HerrenknechtAG good answer, I guess you could pump concrete into any void ahead of you, you Germans are pretty smart (I married one from Dresden I know) thanks.
I dont have a clue why I got recommended this.. But.. I cant stop watching now.
maybe there are some job openings. ;)

2nd word is spelt wrong
@@zh9664 in some languages, that is the correct spelling. If he's not a native speaker of English, the error is of no issue.
I wonder if Herrenknecht will one day in the future break through the ice crust of the moon Europa
I sometimes wonder that myself.
This is an excellent engineering teaching film I ever seen.❤❤😊😊
now i have more questions about segmental lining than i started out with... how am i going to segmentally line my tunnels at home, i dont have a TBM

I wonder how they replace damaged tunnel segments after an earthquake
Yeah, that's cool and all. But how did you get the crane to float in air? 🤔🤔
One of the main feature we see in this new century is TBM 's mass proliferation !
So the tunnel relies on the ground pushing it inward to keep it together? What if there's an earthquake and pulled the ground and tunnel apart then water leak inside the tunnel?
They said all the ring sections are bolted together and then to each other. And the outside of the tunnel is lined with cement

it';s all in the details, ...

So how do the workers use the head? (Toliets)

Yeah, I'll take two of those. Thanks.
How do you change a digging tooth in the face plate while keeping the forces balanced?

Hello. Any recommendation for a company which provid TBM fasteners/ANCHOR or an alternativ to the OPTIMAS company?
