Unfortunately as alluvial material describes the soil in a very unspecific way, and rock bolts are an anchoring system, I'm not sure what you're searching for. Speaking for HDD, stable soil is very important. Regarding rock bolts, they are used if you drill through rock. So I guess you're referring to two different "geological conditions". Could it be?
