I think those simple puzzles would be amazing for children. It would teach how to interact with objects in complex ways and would also help 3d spatial thinking. I volunteer at the children's Discovery museum in San Jose and I could definitely see those be an activity for children. Great job Devin!
A lot of these would be great to put in a daycare or something related for kids to learn with. I particularly like the arch one because it baffles me that stone arches work and would make a great teaching tool.
I downloaded the files for the simple 5X5 cube but I did not see how to set up for the shell and infill that keeps the print time down. One piece says over 3 hours to print. With 5 pieces that's a long print .
I've printed 2 of your puzzles so far and I've been hogging my school's printer! :D The tsugite tangle and sliding puzzle are now my toys.. Thanks for the fun!!
I’m just getting in to learning CAD with a focus of designing my own 3D prints. I’m interested in functional prints, parts for things, etc…. Even so, this is incredible. Great designs Devon!!!
@@make.anything You certainly do! I dug into your channel a bit yesterday. GREAT STUFF! And I figured out I botched your name! Thanks Devin for such great work!!!!
This is so cool - I just printed out my own 3x3x3 puzzle cube for an engineering course I'm taking. I love the stand you made - might have to steal the idea :)
tamalaursa whatever you do, don't buy a cheap one. I bought the anet a8 and have had nothing but problems. Do yourself a favor and pay for a reputable brand, even if it's a smaller model.
@TheDogWithGoggles I brought the XYZPrinting Da Vinci Jr, and it just works. The problem is that the size and lack of ABS/Hotbed *is a real problem.* Do yourself a favor, and get one thats bigger then 15cmX15cmX15cm. I got a Prusa clone, and after some fiddeling, it works quite well.
@@bigchooch4434 I got a geeetech prusa clone after my XYZPrinting became too small and, after a few hours of troubleshooting, it not only prints better, but was cheaper and bigger. If you dont like hours of fiddeling then dont get a cheap printer. If you dont mind, go ahead.
I feel like i could solve the 10 by 10 within a day or 2 but i dont have any way to actually get the puzzle to attempt it xD Anyone else love puzzles though?
1:50 is a cool multipurpose puzzle i want to try doing the swap the filament like what you see in 3:40 are you sure the 10*10 puzzle is possible? other than anything this is insanely amazing!
You should acetone smooth some of them just to finish the look, namely the animal puzzles, the jail guy and the cubes. Maybe you could also coat the gold cube in a thick varnish so that it can’t move and ends up as more of an ornament.
Any chance on some info regarding how you curved the surface for the children's puzzles? I printed the fish and cow and I'm really interested in making him some more of this type. I use sketchup to model stuff, but am always open to trying new things. thanks in advance.
@@make.anything That would be great. I'd love to make some for my Grandson, he loves those 2 puzzles. (granted, he's only 2 years old). Thank for the great content.
Great video! I'd like to know how you made the stands for the cube puzzles to sit on? It's not just a matter of 2 rotations of 45deg each to get the cube sitting on a corner, so any help/guidance would be appreciated! Have you made the design files for those available?
I didn't rotate the cube, I just designed the stand around the cube and then used the 'settle' tool in 3D Builder to correctly orient the stand. They are available for download on MyMiniFactory combined with the puzzle cubes themselves
I could watch the first two seconds over and over again and it will never not be funny. I love you devin, but "Puzzles are kinda underrated, ya know?" cracks me UP
A really neat video Devin, intrigued by the cube you couldn't dis assemble due to the close tolerances...it means you did make a one way assembly..with no glue etc .that can't be pulled apart...see what I mean? Does this depend on the joints shapes, shapes plus tolerances? Etc...waiting for my Alfawise U10 to be sent to me and then I can start printing! Thanks Laurie, New Zealand
I shared the contest in a puzzle building group I'm in on Facebook and I think there'll be some very good puzzles that'll be entered. I'm still thinking about entering. BTW do we have to show the puzzle as a fully working 3d printed model or just the CAD/STL files?
Oh boy, another Myminyfactory competition. Time for the big-shots with 9 years of experience and 15 printers to win another printer for their collection.
hello, i think i have a fun idea for a puzzle, but is the competition open worldwide? becouse im in Lithuania, so i don't know if i can participate... would be glad to know..
Could you also make a video that you’re making the hole Star Wars set from The Rise of Skywalker Kylo Ren’s Shuttle 75256 with a 3D pen or something I wanna make that one! Maybe you can teach me how to do and maybe some tips!

any other cubers here?
The gold one looks like a ghost cube
I wonder how many twisty puzzles will be made for this competition
I️ am a cuber and have a current collection of almost 100 different twisty puzzles
Ye
Well I did post this contest in a FB group that I'm in that's about Twisty Puzzle modding/making/designing.
I made a wood puzzle cube once... it took the brightest mind in the classroom to solve, maybe I'll 3d-print it one day
A lot of these would be great to put in a daycare or something related for kids to learn with. I particularly like the arch one because it baffles me that stone arches work and would make a great teaching tool.
Devin you should send some of your puzzels To Mr Puzzle
yes.
I downloaded the files for the simple 5X5 cube but I did not see how to set up for the shell and infill that keeps the print time down. One piece says over 3 hours to print. With 5 pieces that's a long print .
sure, how do I reach him???
5-10% infill and 2 shells should be fine, you can get that print time down!
Devin send him a message on his TH-cam channel
I'm not gonna even try on the white one haha
Love the work!!!!🔥
Please send new link of downloading the puzzles as the previous one expired.😁
You should make a video trying to solve them all!
I've printed 2 of your puzzles so far and I've been hogging my school's printer! :D The tsugite tangle and sliding puzzle are now my toys.. Thanks for the fun!!
9:20 he LEGIT went over this puzzle 3 TIMES WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT THIS

Amazing stuff! Really elegant puzzles and your prints are so accurate.
PLEASE consider selling these! So cool would definitely buy all of these!
I really would like to see if anyone solves that 10x10 in the future! It looks really intimidating. xD
YOu have potential as a puzzle designer! Very interesting puzzles. Did you ever try to design a twisty puzzle (Rubik's cube based)?
I feel like i could solve the 10 by 10 within a day or 2 but i dont have any way to actually get the puzzle to attempt it xD

If you want the files then look in the description. He even said that in the video.
I give you 1000000$ if you can solve the 10x10 (its Impossible because he made a mistake while desinging it he made a video about that)
does this 10x10 cube competition have end date? or is it until someone manages to solve it?
Those are really cool, keep up the good work 👍🏻
How do you get the peices to fit together so good? How do you design the tolerances so they fit? Thanks
I wish I could see people make very hard. And lengthy puzzle boxs 3d printed to give people ideas of how they can make hard puzzle boxes
this is amazing
on some parts i couldn't believe my eyes on some of the puzzles
I can think of one other 3D printed puzzle which you have :D Great video!
NK Cubed Yea I knew you'd be here
It might be in the mailbox but I haven't picked it up yet! Shooot
I would like to watch that insane puzzle solved
I saw this video again on a larger screen and I immediately saw that the "perfectly fitting" pieces appeared quite loose in their nice boxes (cases).
I did 3 10x10 puzzles very fun
Just out of curiosity, are you still doing anything with the Galactops?

The tolerances were really tight and then the individual layers lock together.
You should send some of these to Chris Ramsay!! He solved this weird codex puzzle and the peak puzzle. He would love and hate solving these
Wow! Your YT Channel Is Cool! Plus Never Give Up. NEVER.

You should make some Rubik's cube puzzles

Yep. That's my go to unless I need some specific qualities of other filaments

thanks
I really want that 10×10 cube😍
The hero one is like a puzzle I saw on professor layton
Do you have to print your design or can you design it and then post the stl?
Just the STL is okay if you don't have a printer, but it should be printable!
wish i never printed that 10x10..... only got half way to this day its in a shoe box and going to stay in it lol
Please do a video on solving them all! :D

The easy ones are for blind people to start learning how puzzles work, we then can move with the ones like the geography puzzles one.
Hey Devin,
i would like to ask you about the puzzle design competition.
I have created a series of 3 related puzzles specially for the competition.
Is it OK to enter the competition this three puzzles as a series?
I have to print the puzzle and do it the hard way before somebody mathematically deduces it.
That fish and cow tho... how do you come up with something as complicated as that?
6:18 rotate it 180 degrees and boom you’re done
