I joined Harley Davidson owner's group when I bought my new Harley Davidson. Was a member for quite a few years. When my bike broke down I called to get some help. HOG DIDN'T DO ME ANY GOOD AT ALL. I finally called a friend who came and got me. He lives 25 miles away. I waited for him and before to long he came to my rescue. Took me and my bike home. He would not even take anything for gas or his time and trouble. The nearest Harley Davidson dealer didn't help at all neither did HOG. NEVER RENEWED MY MEMBERSHIP AGAIN. FOUND OUT FRIENDS ARE MUCH BETTER THAN HOG.
WOW! That is very unfortunate. I'm glad you had a friend that was able to rescue you while you were in distress. The problem is often trying to figure out who in your phone has a truck. Then after that, hoping they're available. The Roadside Assistance sounds attractive. I am going to explore options for more coverage from a Motorclub or my Insurance company. Those towing fees can get quite expensive very quickly.
