‌I get questions about how to properly play trills on pretty much a daily basis.
‌Getting trills to sound light, fast, and musical is one of the biggest challenges of piano playing.
There are 4 steps that you can take to make ANY trill sound good, but most people accidentally leave out some of the key steps along the way because you don’t know what you don’t know!
‌In today’s tutorial, I I take you through these 4 steps that you can take to make any trill sound better.
‌I show you exactly how to implement these steps using a Mozart sonata as an example…but the steps will work for ANY piece.
If you learn these 4 steps and apply them to your trills, you’ll sound like a completely different (and better) pianist within a few practice sessions.

Great lesson! I guess some people are born to trill, while we just have to practise.

Nice lesson. I'm not playing trills, but like many of your tips, it's stored away for when I'm ready. I had to go on the Book of the Face for something else, and I am completely lost. Which is too bad since that sightreading lesson sounds great.
I was getting frustrated with getting into my level two method books, and especially with Alberti Bass. I used La Méthode Rose and Thompson, and LMR relies heavily on Alberti Bass. I even had to quit using it since it was aggravating an inner ear problem.
But I went back to page 1, and started playing every exercise again, and it's getting better. My piano teacher noticed a big improvement on my sightreading ability by really getting back to basics.

Man trilling with 3 and 4 is hard. I can do 4 and 2 or 3 and 2 but using 3 and 4 is so hard.

Yep, wait until you try 4 & 5. Need to train the fingers. Suggestion: Insert a trill when practicing scales.
